I thought I was imagining things! Ive had two other pregnancies and didnt feel like this so early on haha
@thehopelessoverthinker no, definitely not fun but I feel reassured somehow. people say that about nausea and morning sickness right? lol i'm 4+2 so right behind you
@Sa11yCinnamon you timed that well ! hopefully you wont feel as tired tomorrow but definitely pace yourself. Do they know youre ttcing?
@PhoenixSTL Good call - ive also just changed out of my leggings too. which I recently bought so kind of annoyed i cant wear them already. Is there anything that helps you with the nausea?
@Ncl31 oh god, Im so sorry, and yes i agree its reassuring but the vommiting really is no fun. Would you be able to take something for the sickness?

thehopelessoverthinker · 31/03/2026 20:55

@PhoenixSTL I feel you on bloat and clothes, my jeans already don’t do up and I’ve got no idea what I’m going to do about work clothes!

I can barely remember symptoms from my first pregnancy. I remember the sheer exhaustion set in very early - was definitely falling asleep early by week 7.

I'll try and pick up some ginger biscuits over the weekend I think. But lying down has helped a lot. Shame I can't do that when in the office šŸ˜…

I think they know it’s on the cards but not that we’re trying right now. I don’t think it’d come as a shock anyway!

NewAgeDawning · 31/03/2026 21:13

@thehopelessoverthinker I once wore a very large shirt to try and disguise my tummy. My neighbour (who has no filter) saw me that day and immediately asked if I was pregnant lol so id advise against that
@PhoenixSTL if only we could work lying down! what do you do? Do you have to go in often?
@Sa11yCinnamon would you be averse to telling them now, before the usual 12 week point?

Sa11yCinnamon · 31/03/2026 21:38

@NewAgeDawning I have thought about it. A couple of people know but they’re people I’d immediately go to for support if it didn’t work out and as much as a love them, my dad and FIL don’t really fall into that category. I won’t be going out of my way to hide it so I guess I’ll see if anyone says anything!

NewAgeDawning · 31/03/2026 22:08

@Sa11yCinnamon fair enough. Ive always been of that opinion too. if someone asks directly I wouldnt deny it. Lets see how it goes, hopefully theyll all be too focused on other things to notice!

Alwaysgrowing · 31/03/2026 22:52

A colleague has twice this week commented on how tired I look and if I'm ok. I will be messaging my manager tomorrow morning, as though I got a positive then, as I'm off for a week. Chicken way out, could have said in person today, maybe got a risk assessment done. My husband doesn't understand, he thinks I'd want to tell people in person... it's not even like I have had any issues in fertility and pregnancy, I can't explain it. Maybe it's the hormones.

I've seen the rota for next week and I potentially need moving or extra radiation monitoring. I'm not sure. It's not a high radiation dose I get, I'd just be relaxed once it's done. Radiation risks are highest in this stage of pregnancy.

PhoenixSTL · 01/04/2026 07:01

@Alwaysgrowing what do you do, that needs radiation monitoring?

@NewAgeDawning luckily, I'm office based. I'm a computer based wastewater modeller. I only travel into the office 2 days a week at fee moment, and wfh for the rest of the week. But it takes 1 hour 15 minutes each way... What do you do?

Alwaysgrowing · 01/04/2026 09:43

@PhoenixSTL I'm a radiographer

NewAgeDawning · 01/04/2026 09:56

@PhoenixSTL very helpful you can wfh and 2 days a week in the office isnt too bad. Ive just left a job that wanted me in 3 sometimes 4 days in and I felt it was too much. Im an accountant. Have done this for years now but would love to retrain. May think about it seriously after this baby comes x

Alwaysgrowing · 01/04/2026 10:36

It sounds lovely to be able to WFH. A have a pregnant relative who's planning on working up to their due date as they can work from home at the end. I'll probably go to 35 weeks, I think I did that last time.

I've gained a lot of weight the past couple of years. So I recently sized up on clothes, unlike my first two pregnancies I think I'm in the obese category now. So I'm used to clothes not fitting right around my tummy, I have a bit of an apron.

I told my manager, she replied congratulations and with the plans going forward...followed by it's not an April fools?!

wonderlust07 · 01/04/2026 10:42

Hello,

Also tentatively joining - had a positive on Saturday and think my EDD would be 7/12.

I had a MMC back in November at 9 weeks and a chemical last cycle so very nervous. I am under Gynae for a cyst which they found during my MMC so was advised that as soon as I get another positive test to refer to EPU. I went to EPU yesterday who did bloods and I am back to see how they are progressing tomorrow.

Janey3090 · 01/04/2026 11:13

Hi, cautiously joining as I'm only 4+1, current EDD 8th December.

Got my first positive 11dpo, and the last couple of days my symptoms have been strong - nausea and very emotional. I cried this morning when my 3 year old cried because her favorite bowl wasn't clean! šŸ˜‚Hoping this eases soon. Little bit scared it's twins because the symptoms are so strong early on!!

NewAgeDawning · 01/04/2026 11:53

@Alwaysgrowing it is nice to be at home, particularly with children. I cant imagine going back 5 days a week. Could you do the same as your relative, and wfh towards the end?
@wonderlust07 Welcome! Im so sorry to hear of your losses but it sounds like you are being well supported. Its great the cyst hasnt kept you from getting pregnant again. What concerns do they have about it? and what blood tests did you do? I also had a chemical pregnancy in November. It makes you so anxious going forward doesnt it. I'm 4+3 today
@Janey3090 Welcome! I think we're all having quite strong symptoms, its so crazy how early theyve come for me at least. Ohhh hadn't thought about twins, i know theyre hard work but deep inside I wouldnt mind that

wonderlust07 · 01/04/2026 12:04

They're not overally concerned re. the cyst but they have to make sure it doesn't get too big so keeping an eye on it. I had a Beta HCG which was 176.3 and its repeated tomorrow to see how it has progressed.

EPU were really nice yesterday. When the nurse called me on Monday she was a little snappy that I must have my dates wrong as it wasnt the end of the month. I was like but it basically is and I am CD29.

I am so anxious now.

I do also have a almost 2 year old as well so I am lucky but it is definitely different being pregnant after a loss.

NewAgeDawning · 01/04/2026 13:31

@Alwaysgrowing sorry, Ive only just read that youre a radiographer. I suppose wfh isnt an option for you? or maybe they can give you work youd be able to do from afar. Is that a thing? Apologies for my ignorance
@wonderlust07 I see! its good theyre not worried and like I said sounds like youre being well looked after. That seems like a good level for your gestation. I'm sure the repeat test will confirm all is progressing well.

I called EPU today because I had a tiny bit of spotting yesterday after a number 2 (sorry TMI). They said it's likely implantation bleeding and its v common and that I should call again if it comes back.
Have any of you had that? Should I get myself some HCG testing too?

wonderlust07 · 01/04/2026 13:42

@NewAgeDawning I have not experienced it but I think it is a thing as it can irriate the cervix

cgou1 · 01/04/2026 14:01

hi everyone šŸ«¶šŸ½
i am also due december 2026, supposedly 9th - currently 4 weeks x

Moominmamato3 · 01/04/2026 14:18

@NewAgeDawning ~ I’ve also had some bleeding Sunday which was not nice but it had turned brown by Monday and has stopped now. I had something similar with my last but it’s an awful thing to see at the time.

Maybe call if you are worried, my gp is not very helpful and just told me to call back if it continues as nothing they can do at this point, which I guess is true but the weren’t very sympathetic. Hopefully if you call they will be more understanding

Alwaysgrowing · 01/04/2026 14:41

@NewAgeDawning I can't work from home but I there's certain things at work I can't do, but most of it I still can. Some radiographers could work from home, eg if they do some reporting, but I can't.

I didn't go back 5 days to work after kids, but I reduced my hours do 3.5 days worth. And do roughly 2 weekends a month but these are overtime so could be more or less. Overtime is included in calculating maternity pay over a certain time period in pregnancy. I need to check when this is. For my eldest I lost out as I wasn't well enough to do overtime, I hope I'm well enough this time. I think it's 2nd trimester. I'm fortunate my department is flexible with part time.

Janey3090 · 01/04/2026 15:45

Ok, I may have posted too soon.. had some bleeding this afternoon, been a few wipes like this. Also had diarrhoea (sorry TMI)

Obviously it’s too early to call EPU or anyone, as I’m only 4+1. Has anyone else had similar (either on current or previous pregnancies) and it turned out ok?

@Janey3090 that’s what mine looked like Sunday evening. It stopped and I had some brown spotting until yesterday. I took another test this morning and it’s still showing as pregnant so fingers crossed same thing happens for you. I’m only 4+2 so similar timing

No experience here as this is my first pregnancy, but just wanted to say sorry you’re going through this - it must be really worrying. Crossing fingers things work out for you x
