I'm 10 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I've stressed myself out.

I've definitely felt pregnant and had some symptoms but I've had almost no morning sickness. I sometimes get the mildest feeling of nausea when I'm hungry but my appetite has been huge and I've had no food aversions whatsoever.

I've worried myself because I saw some comments on a post that no nausea is a bad sign and often occurs in "unsuccessful pregnancies". Although the midwife at my booking appointment didn't seem phased.

Guess I'm looking for a bit of reassurance. 🙏

5 pregnancies. Zero nausea. I know how lucky I’ve been.

OMG, you are literally the luckiest! I was 🙄🫢🤢🤮

No sickness at all with DD1 and no symptoms at all really other than sore boobs on and off, had awful nausea with DD2 though

I had awful nausea all the way through with both my pregnancies and it was just awful... ask your midwife if you are feeling worried.

I didn’t get any morning sickness with either of my pregnancies at all.

Buckfastburps · 03/03/2026 22:29

I had no sickness or nausea or cravings whatsoever. Beautiful pregnancy right up until birth, then it's another story.

Same here! The first tiny inkling I had that I might be pregnant was crying at a trailer at the cinema! I’m not typically a crier at all.

Exactly the same for me, I’m not a cryer at all but my god watching an RSPCA advert in my first trimester absolutely floored me! Plus I remember crying uncontrollably about my dog being too old to enjoy her favourite park (she was one at the time), PLUS I cried (a lot) about my unborn child being unmarried, elderly with no children and ending up in a care home with no family or friends around. Seriously I look back now and wonder… just why oh why!

I had three successful pregnancies. All girls and not a single hint of sickness with any of them. Just nine months of horrendous heartburn.

People talk as though pregnancy sickness is a given. Guaranteed. It isn't. Not everyone gets it by any means.

I had a boy and a girl. No nausea with either of them. I don't know what the secret is though....

1987babe · 04/03/2026 15:19

I had no sickness at all! Didn’t feel any different for most of my pregnancy either.

UDontaskUDontget · 04/03/2026 15:21

No morning sickness with both my pregnancies. Had a couple of nauseous days with my second but my midwife suggested it was because i wasnt eating enough especially in the morning and my blood sugars had probably dropped low.
Ive never heard of no sickness being a bad thing. I always considered myself very lucky. And i had 2 normal births

FruAashild · 04/03/2026 15:27

20-30 % of women don't suffer from morning sickness. I didn't (3 DC) and DM didn't (4 DC). Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes as smoothly.

If I was going to be sick it was at about 4pm. My partner said I was so posh I had afternoon tea sickness……

🤣🤣🤣🤣

Katiesaidthat · 04/03/2026 15:43

Zero sickness or nausea, and I have silent reflux generally. It was like it disappeared.

28 weeks, no nausea or sickness! It was so tough to deal with after years of infertility - I almost wanted to feel sick! But then reality kicked in and now the baby is kicking away inside of me. Means I think it's a boy though 🤣

Mine, same circumsntances, was a girl.

TimSamandLulu · 04/03/2026 15:59

Zero nausea with DS1. Mild nausea for a few weeks with DS2.

Horrendous heartburn/acid reflux from about 15 weeks with both though.

WanderlustMom · 04/03/2026 22:54

I never did. I’ve had multiple miscarriages but also two successful pregnancies and didn’t have morning sickness for any of them, regardless of the outcome

Snaletrale · 04/03/2026 22:58

I didn’t for my two kids. I did before my miscarriage though.
