Did any mothers not experience morning sickness?

I'm 10 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I've stressed myself out.

I've definitely felt pregnant and had some symptoms but I've had almost no morning sickness. I sometimes get the mildest feeling of nausea when I'm hungry but my appetite has been huge and I've had no food aversions whatsoever.

I've worried myself because I saw some comments on a post that no nausea is a bad sign and often occurs in "unsuccessful pregnancies". Although the midwife at my booking appointment didn't seem phased.

Guess I'm looking for a bit of reassurance. 🙏

Me! I just felt very hungry all the time in the first 14 weeks, so I just kept eating. If I tried to ignore the hunger, I would get some very mild nausea, but as soon as I ate something, I was fine.

Try not to worry. I was fortunate enough not to have any sickness during any of my 3 pregnancies. Now have three strapping boys.

I've just burst into tears reading all these replies! (Definitely hormonal and pregnant! 😂)

Thank you so much! It's mad how quickly something that's been weighing on you can ease just by hearing other people's experiences! I'll count myself very lucky and feel much more relaxed now!

No sickness at all with my DS and a slight bit of nausea with Dd around 6-10 weeks but nothing really to note. Two healthy babies and now two healthy teens.

butternut123 · 03/03/2026 19:57

Never had it at all with any pregnancy 🤰

tirednessbecomesme · 03/03/2026 19:57

I’ve never had morning sickness and that included with a twin pregnancy (which I felt quite embarrassed about as I felt wonderful and most other mums at the twin hospital pre natal clinic were feeling awful!)

Mumof1andacat · 03/03/2026 19:57

Me.i never had one pregnancy 'symptom'. I just had a bump. Never felt unwell, no heartburn, no aches, skin and hair the same, not tired, worked up to 37 wks full time. I credit it to being younger (27) and fitter.

springyla · 03/03/2026 20:00

Nope, no typical pregnancy symptoms at all throughout two healthy pregnancies. Had slightly sore boobs and obvs missed period, otherwise wouldn’t have known I was pregnant.

Diversion · 03/03/2026 20:03

None with the first, third or fourth, only with my second child who was my only son. Have a wonderful pregnancy 😀

SupremeGeneticBee · 03/03/2026 20:03

I have 3 dc and I never had any pregnancy symptoms with any of them, literally just a bump. Nothing else, never felt even faintly nauseous.

I didn't even have labour occur as a pregnancy symptom, all three of them had to be evicted at 41+ weeks by induction. I'm not sure my body knew it was pregnant 🤔 😂

OnGoldenPond · 03/03/2026 20:04

I had no sickness at all in both my pregnancies and had no problems in packing away an impressive amount of food Grin

No problems during the pregnancies and both born perfectly healthy. Over 25 years later they both continue to thrive Smile

Dont worry, OP, sickness in pregnancy or not seems to be more a family trait rather than an indication of the health of the baby. My DM also sailed through all three of hers with very few problems. Just thank your good fortune and enjoy the pregnancy.

RosesAndHellebores · 03/03/2026 20:05

Nope. No sickness whatsoever. Oh gosh, the hunger and tender breasts though. I had to wear a sleeping bra from about 10 weeks.

RedRiverShore6 · 03/03/2026 20:06

It was years ago but I didn't, I did have an absolutely dreadful metallic taste though which put me off some things.

DinoLil · 03/03/2026 20:07

Me! Not with any of my pregnancies. All boys.

CherryPinkAppleBlossomWhite · 03/03/2026 20:07

I had no morning sickness whatsoever and like a previous poster I was pregnant with twin girls.

LollipopLil · 03/03/2026 20:07

3 healthy pregnancies and births.

Not a hint of sickness with any of them.

CurlewKate · 03/03/2026 20:07

If I was going to be sick it was at about 4pm. My partner said I was so posh I had afternoon tea sickness……

BackOfTheMum5net · 03/03/2026 20:11

I felt a teensy bit queasy first trimester, but like you eating kept it at bay, so I just carried biscuits around in my handbag at all times!

One very healthy child splashing around in the bath next to me 🙂

HappyAsASandboy · 03/03/2026 20:22

Six pregnancies here, some successful, some not successful, boys and girls, one set of twins. I have never had morning sickness. I used to get a wave of nausea walking past the Cornish pasty stand at the station at 8am when they were starting to cook, but I think that’s fairly understandable!

Morning sickness doesn’t affect everyone. Thank goodness!

Monsterslam · 03/03/2026 20:24

No morning sickness but I did often need to urgently poo in the mornings! And is feel sick until it was all out. Weirdly I often get the same when other people get sickness bugs are are vomiting, for me it's always the other end!

I did have an MMC though and all symptoms had disappeared. I remember at 8 weeks questioning it but getting on with things but found out at 12 weeks it wasn't happening.

piscofrisco · 03/03/2026 20:27

With dd1 I had maybe two weeks of feeling nauseous and one episode of actually being sick. With DD2 nothing at all!

SomeEsotericJoke · 03/03/2026 20:34

No sickness at all with 4 pregnancies. Well, the exception was once when I took a pregnacare vitamin. Never took another one!

traveltraveltravel78 · 03/03/2026 20:36

Ds1 nothing at all not even once did I feel sick.

ds2 one morning during handover I felt sick and rushed to the bathroom but wasn't- that was the only time on him.

Two successful healthy pregnancies.

you're lucky op! Please stop worrying x

ItsmeMargo · 03/03/2026 20:36

No sickness or nausea whatsoever with either of my two.

blondeascustard · 03/03/2026 20:36

I had absolutely no sickness in my first pregnancy until about 14 weeks…

..and then I threw up most evenings until I was about 28 weeks.

My other pregnancies involved a lot less vomit.
