Did any mothers not experience morning sickness?

I'm 10 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I've stressed myself out.

I've definitely felt pregnant and had some symptoms but I've had almost no morning sickness. I sometimes get the mildest feeling of nausea when I'm hungry but my appetite has been huge and I've had no food aversions whatsoever.

I've worried myself because I saw some comments on a post that no nausea is a bad sign and often occurs in "unsuccessful pregnancies". Although the midwife at my booking appointment didn't seem phased.

Guess I'm looking for a bit of reassurance. 🙏

Me!! I just couldn’t stand the smell of coffee….despite loving coffee pre-pregnancy

ViciousCurrentBun · 03/03/2026 20:40

None with first and a lot with second.

CrawlingBackToYou · 03/03/2026 20:42

Never had morning sickness at all.

3 healthy pregnancies - 3 almost adult boys now

Try not to worry - and remember everybody is different

Cotswoldmama · 03/03/2026 20:42

Loads of nausea with my first but none at all with my second. Symptom free which was great!

WarrenTofficier · 03/03/2026 20:45

I was sick twice during my successful pregnancy- once after my glucose tolerance test at 6 months and once during labour when I tried gas and air and discovered I had inherited my mother's intolerance to it. I didn't have even the slightest sense of queasiness in the first trimester.

TheFormidableMrsC · 03/03/2026 20:46

I had none with either of my pregnancies.

Fluffyunicorns · 03/03/2026 20:49

First pregnancy (boy) not at all. Second (girl) was sick every day for the whole time 😂

toddlertoenail · 03/03/2026 20:50

I had 2 episodes of feeling like I was going to heave full blast but never did 🤢 😮‍💨 weirdly both times it was around 3:30 in the afternoon

tutugogo · 03/03/2026 20:50

Didn’t in either of mine, it’s not always the case

LostPassion · 03/03/2026 20:52

5 pregnancies, severe HG with 4 and one random time no nausea whatsoever!

BlimeyOReillyO · 03/03/2026 20:52

Nope with neither of my two pregnancies!

FancyCatSlave · 03/03/2026 20:54

No sickness and no other symptoms either. Felt bloody marvelous.

And I was ancient too.

Lengokengo · 03/03/2026 20:54

no sickness for either pregnancy. Mild nausea in the first, for a few weeks. Also no back pain…. Every tv programme seems to show women throwing up in early pregnancy, them back pain in late pregnancy. Not my experience at all. Horrific heartburn all the way!

bigyellowduster · 03/03/2026 20:54

I didn’t with either of mine. I was just very grateful! I too had the other symptoms but not a jot of morning sickness. Both of my pregnancies were fine, now 36 and 30 years old.

Very1 · 03/03/2026 20:57

Me! Never had any sickness or nausea. Had a beautiful healthy girl. I was so worried I had no sickness but it was all fine. Enjoy your pregnancy! Flowers

Nearlyamumoftwo · 03/03/2026 21:03

I had none whatsoever - first time I had a slight feel of nausea is when they started numbing my back for the C-section.

Roundofapause · 03/03/2026 21:03

I never did. I've had 2 successful pregnancies (and 3 losses). Never had any morning sickness with my successful ones! Only symptom was gagging when brushing my teeth. Was worse with my daughter as it made me sick sometimes, but never any morning sickness, just couldn't handle a toothbrush in my mouth!

BuntyBeaufort · 03/03/2026 21:05

Another here with 3 kids and no morning sickness with any of them.

BG2015 · 03/03/2026 21:05

Two pregnancies, both boys. Felt mildly queasy at the start but was never sick and it soon subsided.

My main symptom for the first trimester was tiredness.

My mum however was sick for 9 months with all 3 of us!

TY78910 · 03/03/2026 21:06

Me, none with both my DCs. Congratulations!

lllamaDrama · 03/03/2026 21:07

Mild nausea if I smelled fresh coffee but otherwise no sickness at all. Two very healthy kids.

HollyGolightly4 · 03/03/2026 21:07

28 weeks, no nausea or sickness! It was so tough to deal with after years of infertility - I almost wanted to feel sick! But then reality kicked in and now the baby is kicking away inside of me. Means I think it's a boy though 🤣

Mounjarogirl25 · 03/03/2026 21:07

I didn't, in fact I didn't really have any symptoms or any cravings either. A couple of times strong smells made me feel a bit queasy but that was it.

I was lucky, I had an 'easy' pregnancy (as easy as a pregnancy can be anyway)

DreamingOfGeneHunt · 03/03/2026 21:08

Nope, not for me. At about 3 months I went off a lot of things (I couldn't eat anything except Asda plain ham sandwiches for weeks) but I was never sick or nauseous.

Like @Celiathebanshee though I spent the actual birth of my daughter being sick, into a bowl and my left ear!

ExperiencedTeacher · 03/03/2026 21:09

No sickness at all. Didn’t know I was pregnant until 20 weeks. So symptoms other than sore boobs which I get hormonally anyway
