@Jadeypie that really made me laugh!!! 🤣 I said to my partner yesterday I can’t people anymore and he was like what you mean. I said I need to stay home the human race is driving me to the point of insanity! That was after dealing with a lot at work, then getting in the car and people being infuriating and then people in the shop driving me mad. I’m the same 🤣 I have zero tolerance and patience. I didn’t think I was hormonal…🤭 clearly I am! So you aren’t on your own 🤣 xx

dubkitten · 19/09/2025 15:59

@Jadeypie and @WanderWalker I completely agree, I have noticed my emails in work getting a bit snappier - especially if it’s something someone has already asked me 😂 one example is one of the guys messaged me and said the boss wanted him to confirm something with me, all god - confirmed it was done. The boss emails me the same question the next day and I respond with ‘as I told B yesterday this has been done’ 😂😂 normally I would have just responded and confirmed it was done

I've given in and started to get a few maternity bits off Vinted. I'm looking at coats for the winter. Does anyone rate those ones that have an insert to cover baby on your front? I'm wondering if they're worth it to wear them post partum as well? I'm FTM so can't imagine where I'd go out with just baby strapped to me. Wouldn't I need lots of other paraphernalia that I'd probably put in a pram?

I've done the same and bought some lounge sets today! I feel like I've lost my sense of style the bigger I get.

I can't imagine being abel to go anywhere without all the bits and bobs we carry around with babies unless baby wants out the pram? Then, it would become handy if you're out xx

I’ve got a maternity raincoat that has a zipped in (currently out) section for baby wearing and really rate it. Big fan of baby wearing though with my first two, especially when having a changing bag to wear on your bag rather than shoulder. Got plenty of use out of the pram but very much looking forward to baby wearing again

Nynm23 · 20/09/2025 15:03

Baby wearing is great, however if you suffer any form of back issues it can be tough. Would source a carrier with some back support in
it if you plan to. You can hire carriers, so you can try out before investing in an expensive carrier you may not use. We used babbodle (might be spelled wrong) for a carrier for holiday. There are also things called sling library’s across the country where you can hire and also they will check you’ve got it fitted safely. As babe will be born in winter, the coats with an extra section for baby wearing are great as you can’t layer baby up too much in the carrier incase of over heating.

I think I will try again this time round, as imagine it will make life easier with a toddler in tow.

Hi all. After having 1 hours sleep last night due to the worst heartburn ever (and then having to go into the office to work all day 😴) I’ve given in and spoke to the dr who has prescribed me omperazole. They’ve given no real instructions just - one day.

Just wondering if any of you are taking it or have taken it in previous pregnancies and can give any advice on when is the best time of day to take it?

Sunshinemoom · 22/09/2025 19:53

Hey! Sorry to hear about your heartburn I’ve taken A omeprazole in both pregnancies. I take mine 2:30pn as it’s in between the other meds I take. I think in my first pregnancy, I would take it before bed because that’s where my heartburn was worse

Fab thank you 😊 I’m hoping this eases it because I don’t think I can cope with this till I give birth 😣 mine pops up through the day, but wow the night time! The night time is a whole other level!

It take a few days to work but once it does you notice if you miss a dose or I do! Still have to have gavicson on my bedside unit for the odd time it’s really bad.

dubkitten · 23/09/2025 08:23

Hopefully it doesn’t take too long to work @WanderWalkerheartburn is awful!

I’ve had a couple of mild cramps and some hip pain the last couple of days - would that be pelvic girdle pain? Back in the hospital for my 24 week check on Thursday so will mention it to them.

Hopefully it’s not that, it’s mainly in my hips. Feeling my bump a lot more now when I am walking around also so just uncomfortable in general. Where is this pregnancy glow I kept hearing about 😂😂

Got a lovely gift from my sister today.

What is pregnancy glow @dubkitten @Jadeypie🤣

Confusedmermaid1 · 24/09/2025 20:00

No pregnancy glow here either.. the eyebags are half way down my face at the moment
Just come back from a week away and my mum commented that I had doubled in size 🙄 I’m actually worried that I’m too big, met loads of new people (wedding) and everyone seems shocked when I say I’m only 24 weeks 🙈 hopefully the midwife can give me some reassurance in my appointment in a few weeks
Coccyx pain is killing me off slowly, especially if I sit too long, but it didn’t help that evidently there are no chairs with cushions in Greece 😅 been suffering with hip pain but hoping that was due to having a hard bed with no pregnancy pillow when we were away. Feel like anyone I’ve ever known who was pregnant deserved more sympathy than I gave them because none of them let on that it was this uncomfortable at this stage 😅

Sunshinemoom · 25/09/2025 06:42

Does anyone feel like they can’t sleep or struggle to sleep. I’m up for hours every night. Or waking at 2/3am then can’t sleep again 😴

I always have a spell of being a awake for a few hours a night. I always end up watching some madness on youtube haha.

I feel like ive had zero sleep last night due to the leg cramps glad to be out that bed!! Xxx

We crnt win! Either too big or too small according to cheeky people hahs. Im sure your perfectly fine! And dont worry i walk the same and slow.

I can admit before ever being pregnant i did judge the pregnant colleagues thinking oh it can not be that bad! Once I had my first I fully understood and would never ever ever judge again!!

This pregnancy is worse than my last and I was the fittest I had ever been in my life I was nieve enough to think I would breeze through with how healthy I was 🙈 how wrong that was hahah xxx

Drives me up the wall. I’m the same I try my hardest not to go on my phone but after tossing and turning might as well.

thankfully I can drive coffee again so that helps.

You’re not alone. I’m part of the no sleep club too. I barely sleep now. The slightest thing can wake me, so if I roll over and then ping wide awake for hours!

dubkitten · 25/09/2025 09:51

Just out of my 24w check and all looking good. Baby currently breach but plenty of time to move.

Honestly it’s a nightmare. I hate not being able to sleep. Then it’s affecting my day to day! Thankfully still on reduce hours at work! X
