@Sunshinemoom love how organised you are!! Ibe started myself should be finished for November I always wrap as I buy haha xx

@PinkFlamingo888 glad all is looking good and your cervix sounds perfect now!! Xx

@peps2917 i had a list so when everyone starts asking what I need I just told them. Its not being cheeky otherwise you'll end up with all kinds of the same stuff. As for mil I know tis not your ideal but maybe she could help get stuff done for your baby shower while your in work she might be helpful xxx

Jadeypie · 18/09/2025 06:35

No updates from me. Next appointment is my 28 week one. Feels strange i have no more scans now either, gone from having loads to none! Suppose its a good thing.

I feel like Ive lost my sence of style the bigger I get, I just feel like a scruff haha going to treat myself today for some cloths. Xxx

Sunshinemoom · 18/09/2025 06:49

I’m normally finished around November time, but with the risk of baby now coming early and being told i won’t go over 38 weeks, I’ll be having little one right round Christmas. So trying to get ahead.

@WildFinch I’m happy your cervical length went well, must be such a relief.

@peps2917im having a little baby shower at a pottery painting place with afternoon tea. Didn’t want to do anything too crazy. Just with my close friends and family. I’ve also asked people to write in a book for baby instead of gifts.

@WanderWalkeri did all of it online and got it delivered while little one was at school 😅 im hoping my mum will help me wrap if i take it to hers 🤣

@Jadeypieso good wrapping as you go instead of one big hit.

Jadeypie · 18/09/2025 07:21

@Sunshinemoom dont blame you! You'll feel so much better knowing everything will be sorted. Oh how magical having a new baby around a xmas tree and lights ✨️

I feel like this pregnancy is flying! Just can't believe only 15 weeks left with the possibility of going earlier 😳 im trying to get ust to his pattern of movements but it makes me paranoid! I didnt bother with all that with my 1st i was so chill. Would u say having a active day and then a quiet one is a pattern? Xxx

Yeah just want everything done so I can relax. Yeah. Baby either gonna be here just before Christmas or just after 🥰

yeah this pregnancy is flying by compared to my first pregnancy. This say patterns normally normal around 28 weeks, but I’ve found baby boy is consistently moving around 10am then after dinner until bedtime. That’s been his pattern for a couple of weeks now. I would say active day and quiet day is normal and could be baby’s pattern xx

Jadeypie · 18/09/2025 07:39

@Sunshinemoom yeh ive read about 28 weeks. Think its just the usual over analysing everything ha. Xx

I totally get over analysing! I’ve already been in because haven’t felt in for a couple of days which was unusual for him even though at the time I was only like 20 weeks. Like they say, they’d prefer us to come in 1 million times and it be nothing then not come in xx

peps2917 · 18/09/2025 07:59

@Jadeypie for me it’s very quiet in the daytime as I am quite active and then usually when I sit down for dinner and then read my book after dinner he moves lots and says hello. I have felt the odd movement during the day too when I’m sitting down but like I said I am quite active so I don’t really notice it. I also do have an anterior placenta.
It’s always so nice to feel him!!! Like a gift 🩷

Would you all say sleeping on your back but with your head and back slightly lifted (with pregnancy pillow underneath shoulders more or less) is ok?? Or is that still not advised? I can’t get comfy on my side. I can do it and the pillow is helping but it’s not the same :(

He has a day where his movements feel really strong and he doesnt keep still all day then the next its like hes chilled out doing kicks from time to time and a little riggle but seems to be consistent that way.

I crnt sleep on my back anymore its too uncomfortable even on my sides haha but I think its like 25 weeks or 24 they say start sleeping on your sides. I find propped up on the couch is my comfortable position atm. But ive been diagnosed with that pelvic girdle pain so that doesnt help either xxx

@Sunshinemoom im so impressed re Christmas. I haven’t even got Halloween costume in yet for DD 😂 will get on that today. We are moving next month, so I’m reluctant to buy anything that needs carted from one house to another. November spending spree incoming!

@Jadeypie re movement, my placenta at the front so movement is still really limited to feel. Which makes me nervous, if this babe is IUGR tracking movement is one of the big things you’ve to watch so I’m praying babe is growing to schedule! I think as long as you’re feeling regular movement you don’t need to stress it’s the same every day. But if you are worried, your midwives really would rather you come in.

I’m for whooping vaccine this morning, hoping it doesn’t make me feel more rotten than I already do ✨moaning myrtle is alive and well this morning✨ The silver lining for today, I have had my current coffee obsession Starbucks iced brown sugar (way too long of a name) shaken oat thing - but only 2 shots because 3 is too many apparently.

Oh don’t I got DS Halloween costume in August thank you Vinted. Totally get not wanting to buy stuff to move between two houses. I would be the same.

hope your not ill after whooping vaccine. When I had mine it floored me for a week after as I was already ill. I’ve just been able to start drinking coffee again. I’m so happy 😅

dubkitten · 18/09/2025 08:51

Hi ladies!

I’ve my next appointment next week for my 24w check up. Really need to start booking in the ante natal classes.

Have been feeling increased movements mainly in the morning when driving to work and then in the evening when relaxing. Still can’t feel them externally though.

As for Christmas - I have two presents in and will start chipping away at the rest. For all the kids I have to buy for I usually just give money as they are all teenagers so rather that.

@Sunshinemoom oh dear I hope I’m not floored, I don’t remember any issues last time but i guess you just never know!

I can’t do hot coffee yet, try the Starbucks oat shaken brown sugar thing - it’s glorious.

Hopefully your antenatal classes are better than we have up here. I ended up doing a private one with some hypnobirthing included and it was well worth it as the NHS one was dyer.

I went to them before with my friend was pregnant and they weren’t great. Hospital says I need to do them again as it’s my first pregnancy so hopefully they have improved

Hopefully not. I might have just been unlucky as I was already poorly. I was fine after my flu jab though!

oh I’ll have to give it a try and let you know what I think!

WildFinch · 18/09/2025 15:19

I've got my flu and whooping cough jabs together next Thursday. Never had flu, or the flu vaccine before so I hope it doesn't wipe me out!

@peps2917 oh gosh I haven't even considered having a baby shower. None of my friends had one, maybe because we're all a bit older and it wasn't such a thing when they were having their kids? Love the idea though! I might start putting a wish list together as I've had a few asks already and don't want to end up with lots of stuff we don't need..I'm determined not to overbuy at the start!

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 18/09/2025 15:53

Had my whooping cough jab today. Glad to report that it still makes your arm ache like mad… aches started happening within half an hour of it being done. Just hoping RSV doesn’t ache as much

Jadeypie · 18/09/2025 16:26

Oh that whooping cough jab gave me such a sore arm from 3 days couldnt sleep with it!! I didnt get sick though xxx

WanderWalker · 19/09/2025 00:06

For those of you having your whooping cough vaccines I hope you’re all okay. I didn’t have any symptoms at all with mine. I am due my flu vac which I am dreading as normally feel rubbish after having that 😣

I am really struggling already. Especially tonight to the point I’ve got really upset with myself and then started stressing even more that I am only going to get bigger. I can not get comfortable, awful heartburn, pain in my rib cage and have to flip from side to side every night because it’s so uncomfortable 😭 Is anyone else feeling like this already? Or struggling at night?

Jadeypie · 19/09/2025 07:23

@WanderWalker oh im the same!!! Its sooo emotionally draining I feel like i dont get any sleep between the pain, heartburn and the constant wee trips!! Your not alone, but i totally understand. I find getting on the couch propped up sometimes gives me a better sleep. Even the pillows dont do much either xxx

Sunshinemoom · 19/09/2025 07:27

I’ve heard RSV jab makes your arm ache and can make you feel a bit poorly! Never had it before though so will know soon enough!

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 19/09/2025 07:48

@WanderWalker definitely struggling at night. Fall asleep fine but wake up every hour or so with either heart burn or leg cramp, then struggle to get back to sleep. Also keep rolling on to my back (never normally a back sleeper) despite all the pillows meant to keep me on my side

WanderWalker · 19/09/2025 10:26

@Jadeypie I’m the same. All I did was cry last-night, which is really unlike me. Oh yeah and the wee trips! I feel like I just get to sleep and then wake up for a wee and then I’m
wide awake again 😣 I might try the same as you and stay on the sofa tonight. I am using pillows popped up in bed but I don’t think I am vertical enough 🤣 I feel for you with PGP on top of all that too because it’s awful. I am dreading if that kicks in again (I had it last time).

@Thegirlhasnamechanged I’m normally a front sleeper and I seem to be waking up on my back all the time too despite using a huge pregnancy pillow to stop me. I’ve no idea what else I can do to stop it.

sorry I’m a right moaner this week 🤣 Hope everyone else is doing good ❤️

Jadeypie · 19/09/2025 11:42

@WanderWalker do all the moaning you need!! Its so so valid. I just feel like im falling apart hahsha and ive come to realise im a total bitch! no people pleasing from my end at the moment haha im starting to think is the extra hormones and pesserys just changed me into this moaning little bitch that gets too touchy and suddenly has this strong backbone. Not that ive even been like a weak person but I duno I just feel like 'do not mess with me' hahahahah xxx
