I felt really sick after that drink all day! My bump has dropped but god it’s so uncomfortable today. He kept kicking his foot out today right in my ribs! Also getting so much pressure down below xx

@Sunshinemoom @Jadeypie im really not sure u fancy this manual turning at all i just dont like the risk of damage to the placenta or cord. There is a chance baby could turn themself.Monday is decision day 😬😬😬

@Gizmo1983yes I totally get that. I would be hesitant to do the manual turning as well. My first born was breached until like 37/38 weeks and suddenly he turned by himself. But I should’ve known then I was gonna have an awkward labour because he had been in that position the whole time 🤣 oh really not long to decide then. Xx

Did the midwife tell you your engaged? I think that what hes been doing the last few days.

Also do use feel like use need to wee with the lightening crotch? Part of me is thinking could this be a water infection or is it just oure pressure, it doesnt hurt to wee like xx

Just out of growth scan baby has dropped to 9th centile which is just one centile but not idea also breech so waiting to see consultant to see what they say want to do. Ugh thumbs are never straight forward are they xx
seen consultant so I have to decide ininday if I want stitch out and they manually turn her with a muscle relaxant or they leave stitch in and do a c section at 37 weeks if growth maintains or 37 if growth drops more. I also have to keep an eye on movement xxx

@Gizmo1983 what week are you on now? My consultant did say they would deliver at 37 weeks as he reckons the placentas of ladies with immune issues are sometimes prone to weakening faster but who knows.

I had really bad trapped gas last time, so I’ve packed chewing gum and peppermint tea. It’s supposed to help relieve it. I’ve seen busopan mint can also help so I’ve got some of that for home. Just make sure all the underwear you pack is nice and high, so it doesn’t rub on your c section. I’ve done myself a little caddy for home with essentials in so I have it all to hand or my partner can pass me it over. I saw that idea on tik tok 🤣 it’s got paracetamol/ibru, spare pants, maternity pads, breast pads, face wipes, nipple cream etc in it. Easy to carry into the bathroom too.
oh and put a pillow in the car for the journey home and pop it over your c section scar it’s a life saver and makes the car ride a bit more comfortable 😊 xxx

Oh these are great tips @WanderWalker thank you so much! Love the idea of the postpartum caddy that can be carried between rooms and the peg for the charger is genius 😅 I remember years ago my auntie having a c section and having horrific wind pain in her shoulder which totally baffled me lol but apparently that's a common place for it, so I'll be stocking up on the peppermint oil/tea and chewing gum for sure! Xx

Definitely going to try the lucozade sports too @Nynm23 thank you! Will get some in the house now in case she decides to try and appear earlier 😅 xx

@Jadeypie sorry to hear you're feeling sick after the gd test ☹️ one of my friends threw the drink up at the appointment so I think it's common! Hope you feel better asap. My bump has dropped loads and I'm not quite 36w yet, makes me laugh when it sits on/between my legs as it used to be so high! Xx

@Gizmo1983 Apologies if you have already tried this but have you seen the spinning babies website? My midwife was massively promoting it for people who need to get their babas to turn naturally, said the positions can be really helpful...maybe if you tried them before Monday it might happen itself? xx

Jadeypie · 18/12/2025 09:40

@TigerLily38 my heartburn still hasnt improved yet though with the bump drop haha. Xx

Has anyone started getting the daily 'any niggles yet' off family? My MIL is driving me mad haha ive said im sure you will be the first to know considering shes taking our first son haha xxx

Sunshinemoom · 18/12/2025 15:33

Had a consultant appointment today with the diabetic consultant and Was saying about getting my stitch out tomorrow but if I still get a C-section havent gone into labour that by the time I get c section day. and she said what birth do you want? I said well I want an elective C-section but nobody will give me a day and I’m just being messed about she said wait there she got me a provisional date for the 30th of December. She said I’ve seen that you requested if you could have it at 38 weeks so how does 38+ 3 sound. She’s been the only consultant who’s listened to me and actually looked at all of my symptoms as a whole also turns out. I also need an iron transfusion cause my iron is really low. 🙈 I should get a call to confirm it in the next few days if I haven’t to call them next Tuesday to get it confirmed. Xx

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 18/12/2025 18:04

30th December seemed like a good birthday date to have from all the looking into I did with it (it was meant to be our section date) before little miss decided 15th December was a better birthday. She was 7lb3oz so not a bad weight at all for 37+1 and actually the heaviest of my babies… not that any of the others kept us admitted with jaundice issues like she has!

very much hoping we are able to leave hospital tomorrow if nothing else than because we apparently need to get some little presents for baby (still unnamed) so we won’t get questions from the older two about why Santa has forgotten her. Husband doesn’t reckon my “she hasn’t got a birth certificate yet so Santa doesn’t know she exists” line would go over very well 😅
