Hey @Sunshinemoom omg me neither a bath will be heaven and to be able to go where I want without worrying will it be too much pressure on the stitch or how short is my cervix.
baby has been a tinker today I normally feel her bumping about but she was so quiet 🤫 tried all the tricks so thought i was going up to triage I was literally in the queue for the phone to be answered and she started to move and has had had a good little kick. I’m sick of all this stress now just want her safe in my arms
@dubkitten how wonderful and what a fantastic size bet you’re chuffed to bits 😁

Yeah it really would be. So much can’t do with the stitch. It’s so restrictive even though I know it’s for the best.

oh what a monkey keeping you on your toes, happy she started to move now. Just keep eye out. If still not happy with movements even though annoying always call triage. I can safely say this has put me off anymore kids, I hate the daily stress I go through just need baby boy in my arms now so I can relax.

@dubkittenwhat a lovely size!! So nice to see them again xx

Gizmo1983 · 21/11/2025 16:43

@Sunshinemoom yes i definitely will keep an eye it has definitely un nerved me a little bit but she’s definitely bashing about in there at the minute honestly it’s just worry after worry. I’ll keep an eye and if she goes quiet again I’ll go up. xxx
at the minute my bath has the laundry in that needs to be put away lol xxx

Yeah good idea. Maybe she changing her pattern as well but definitely something to keep eye out on.

currently storage I love that 😂😅 xx

How lovely @dubkitten! Does that change your EDD at all? I've got a growth scan in a few weeks, I'll be 33 weeks then.

They are happy to leave it at 15th Jan for now

I got booked in for one at my booking appointment due to my age. Over here you usually only get the 12 week and 20 week full scans but at every hospital check up they do a mini scan (not as details and don’t get to see much) but it’s does be good to see whatever you can

Hey @Gizmo1983 still getting pains. If I’m honest I’m completely fed up not having answers what is causing these pains. Just being told to go to triage the being told everything is ok.

did you managed to find a travel system you liked? Yeah crazy how quickly lose strength when not using legs etc! Xx

Confusedmermaid1 · 23/11/2025 15:31

Nesting has kicked in and scrubbing on your hands and knees is no joke with PGP 🙈😂

Sorry to hear you’re still in pain @Sunshinemoom, must be so frustrating to not have answers and feel unheard x

Ouch I bet you felt it after didn’t you 😅 crazy how nesting works like the baby going to know I’ve been on my hands and knees scrubbing for them 🤣

yeah it really is. I’m trying to get back in contact with my consultant to have some reassurance why all of this is happening and why! X

Gizmo1983 · 23/11/2025 15:49

@Sunshinemoom it must really be wearing you out now you poor thing. We are another week closer though role on full term eh?
wow yes I think I came out more confused than I went in I suppose they all pretty much do the same job in the end don’t they. Xxx

@Gizmo1983yeah im so fed up. I’m going to speak to my mw Tuesday, as I’m really scared to go in labour and the stitch be in causing more damage. Yeah realistically I have 6 weeks left if make it to 39 weeks for my c section. 4 more weeks until full term.

yeah they all do the same thing overall! Did they have any good deals with it being Black Friday? Xxx

Gizmo1983 · 23/11/2025 16:13

@Sunshinemoom its a funny one isn’t it IC they snip the stitch out you could just go straight into labour or it may just calm everything down but no one will know until it’s out.
I’ll be interested to know if all my bowel pain calms down once it’s out they’ve given me buscopan to relax my bowel when it kicks off next I don’t have high hopes but they’ve said it’s worth a try.
there was a bit off the travel systems not tons and nothing off the car seats. I went to an independent retailer mainly looked at bugaboo and Icandy I wanted to look at silver cross as well but only the big shops like John Lewis seem to have them and our John Lewis is a hell of a walk from the car i don’t know if i could make it lol. They said it’s around 2 weeks from ordering so got a little bit of time to play with. Xxx

@Gizmo1983yeah could either go into labour or would calm everything down. Thing is I don’t think they do anything this early.

yeah interesting to know if it does.

shocking there not a lot of travel systems and nothing off car seats would think their be more. We ordered the silver cross cove I loved it when I tried it out in the shop but that seems like a lifetime ago now before I had all the restrictions! Xxx

Gizmo1983 · 23/11/2025 16:29

@Sunshinemoom It’s the cove I am so tempted by it looks fantastic I am so desperate to go look at it. Did you go for the silver cross car seat as well xxx

@Gizmo1983oh I love it. It’s so nice to push and such a nice finish. Yes we got the car seat as well. It’s good lays down flat the base is 360 and can be used for the next car seat up. If you do look at it book a nursery appointment at John Lewis. After the appointment you get money off your purchase. I think we got 10% off xx

Gizmo1983 · 23/11/2025 17:35

@Sunshinemoom i love the look of that car seat it looks so safe and love the lie flat think I’m going to put my big girl pants on and get to John Lewis xxx

@Gizmo1983it seems really secure as well which I like. I put it in the car the other day ready just in case baby boy makes an early appearance. Yeah just take your time on the walk from car to John Lewis. Have lots of breaks xx

Im convinced scrubbing the bathroom floor on my hands and knees caused me to go into labour with my first!! Xx

WanderWalker · 24/11/2025 18:03

Hi all. I hope everyone’s okay.

Is anyone suffering with bad lightening crotch and have any tips on what I can do to ease it?

I just had to abandon my shopping and go back to the car because mine is that bad it’s stopping me right in my tracks where I don’t want to walk 😭

Objectiontime · 24/11/2025 19:19

Hi all, new and very l late on this thread. Due Feb but likely delivery in Jan due to immune issues. 4th pregnancy, first time over trimester 1 :) Was on prednisone till 17 weeks and all going fine but my consultant keen to let baby escape before term as he is worried that my immune issues could cause placenta to start failing early. I will have the option of C section or induction and I'm thinking C section based on the research I've done. Anyone else know already that they will be having one?

Sorry @WanderWalker Not experienced lightening crotch yet but guess that might change. sounds painful!!

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 24/11/2025 19:52

@Objectiontime welcome and congratulations 🙂

I’ll be having a section this time (letter arrived in today’s post actually) as I’ve had 2 emergency ones before. Due date is 4 Jan but section is in late December so should possibly boot myself off of this thread!

I’m opting for an elective c section as had a previous c section for iugr suspected placenta insufficiency. No concerns this time around but I have no desire to undergo a vbac and this will be my last pregnancy.

Previous c section was overall uneventful in my consultants terms 😂 very straightforward, relaxed and recovery was easier than some friends vaginal births.

not sure if what I have experienced is lightening crotch, it’s mildly uncomfortable in the cervix area at times, but thankfully hasn’t stopped me in my tracks - I hope that’s not what is to come @WanderWalker

ive been very crap at keeping up to date here, PGP and back pain, toddler with DP working away - hanging on by very fine thread.

Thank you so much and congratulations to you too 😁.
That makes a lot of sense. To be honest, the number of ladies I know who have had emergency sections is greater than those who had a smooth vag delivery which is why I am edging towards the section. Just makes sense I think.
