Yeah I was wondering this! My tummy and pelvis felt so heavy today as well. But wasn’t sure if that was because I put up the Christmas tree earlier 😅 yeah everything sorted bags in the car, baby car seat in the car, my friend on standby if I go into labour to watch ds while my mum heads over to collect him. I’ve felt on high alert the last couple weeks with everything going on xx

Oh be sods law the tree goes up and he decides to come!! How many weeks are you now? At least you've got things in place and the trees up for ds. Suppose its a just wait and see now. Must be exhausting xxx

Yeah won’t it be! And 32w+4. Yeah this is why it’s up early just in case he comes. And my ds with the snow this morning asked me if we could get it up ready! Yeah I hate just waiting will he come won’t he come xx

dubkitten · 19/11/2025 20:24

@Sunshinemoomdefinitely sounds like he be making an appearance soon, must have wanted to come and see the Christmas tree 😂

@Jadeypie I’ve had my names picked out pretty early on (Callie for a girl and Noah for a boy), some people have said they wouldn’t be mad on Noah but it’s not their baby so 🤷‍♀️😂

OP posts:
WanderWalker · 19/11/2025 21:20

@Jadeypie yep on the baby names front. My Mil/fil keep mentioning the names thing. We aren’t telling anyone our names, but they keep throwing name ideas out and we’ve had a few comments from them saying ‘we don’t want any daft names’. I just ignore it to be honest because I find it really annoying. It’s not up-to anyone what you call your baby 🙄

@Sunshinemoom i hope you are okay. It does sound like baby is wanting to make an earlier appearance. It sounds like you are nice and organised though 😊

@dubkitten I’m biased but I love those names. We’ve got a Callie and a Noah in our family 😊

TigerLily38 · 20/11/2025 00:22

Hi ladies, just catching up!! Sorry to hear some of you are still struggling with sickness /acid and pelvic pain, sending hugs ❤️ not long to go now! X

@Sunshinemoom hope you are doing ok ❤️ I've been in a panic tonight as I've also lost a fair bit of my plug (31+1 currently), haven't rang triage yet as I read online it can regenerate and I have a midwife appt tomorrow. Annoyingly it isnt with a MW at my maternity hospital as I'm out of area, so she can only get on some of my notes! Ive had dizziness and breathlessness today too, and worried about losing any more of the plug ☹️

Do you ladies think I should call triage or wait for tomorrow? First time mum so I have no clue but feel like a hypochondriac ringing them! Xx

Hey guys. Oh wow can’t belive we are getting to the stage where we are loosing our mucus plugs lol . A bit of mine went at 25 weeks but I funnelled down to my stitch at that point so that was why then it just stopped 😬. @Sunshinemoom it definitely sounds like things are getting close had a growth scan yesterday and they couldn’t even see my stitch so not sure what that means lol. I’m just trying to be chilled it must be there somewhere lol. Had my growth scan went from 10th centile to 41st so was pretty chuffed with that. @TigerLily38 call triage sweet that’s what they are there for ans mine are always lovely I’ve been a few times as I get these horrific contractions in my bum honestly the pain has me on my knees I actually fainted in the car on the way to hospital and I have to be checked in case it’s labour we’ve now established it isn’t but no one knows what the heck it is they think my stitch may be on a nerve that relates to my bum hole 😂😂😂😬😬😬 only me could have that. Our tree is up the bloody thing keeps dropping pines everywhere. Have a health visitor appointment who wants to check every room in our house not looking forward to that since I’ve done no housework for the past 5 months 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ since was out on rest with my stitch 😬😬😬

@Gizmo1983i know it’s crazy. Ouch. Did you feel it funnelled down? I’m starting to think my cervix is changing that’s why I’m losing my mucus plug.

ive woken up with the worse backache taken so pain meds and got a hot water bottle on my back, I hope it helps.

great baby has jumped up. Must be a relief? Is that on the scan they can’t see it or speculum? They can’t see mine on a scan, but when they use a speculum they can see it thankfully!!

those pains sound so painful but would make sense if it’s on the nerve? Oh nightmare the tree is dropping the pines!

I didn’t realise health visitors wanted to see every room I haven’t had any contact with my health is are with my son last time. I think they got in contact when he was 10 days old. If they want to come see my house they’re gonna see that the baby’s nursery currently is Christmas present and food dumping ground 😂

@dubkittenyeah I think he wanting to see this Christmas tree for sure. Because I was nervous if him coming, I’ve ordered some Christmas outfits for the baby off Vinted 😅

@WanderWalker definitely need to be organised just in case 🤞🏾 xx

Never knew they done that! Suppose my first was in lockdown so health visitors was a no show. That would annoy me that. God if one come in mine currently they no dout would break a limb on a random toy lying about or see the babys next to me us used as a storage box hahaha. Probably moan about the prep machine aswell 🤣 ive not even heard from one tbh xxx

Jadeypie · 20/11/2025 07:25

@Sunshinemoom how's the back ache this morning? Xxx

Gizmo1983 · 20/11/2025 07:34

oooh @Sunshinemoom definately keep an eye on those back pains and yes the mucus plug I lost was when my cervix was opening the consultant printed me off a scan pic and showed me where the mucus had come from as he could see where it had opened and where it had come from.
it was on the scan they couldn’t see it they wanted to do a speculum but they had just lets say been investigating my bum and I didn’t want them up the other hole straight after I certainly have no dignity left😂😂.
I went to mamas and papas yesterday and they had the 1st Xmas stuff next to the born in 2026 stuff and I literally didn’t know what to do. I’m booked in to have my stitch removed in 22nd December so it’s anybody’s guess. I then looked at the prices and decided on neither 😂😂😂. I need to go and buy a car seat and a pushchair. 😬😬😬

@Gizmo1983yeah I’m thinking if still bad once I’ve done school run I’ll call triage. Oh this makes sense! I wonder if my cervix is opening hence the mucus plug!

oh I totally get that. I would be the same 😅 at that point I would want to go home and stop looking at me.

I haven’t brought any 2026 stuff just in case if he comes in 2025 😂😂 mamas and papas is expensive. I’m sure they didn’t have any black Friday deals on though to make it a little bit cheaper! Yes buy it soon 🙈

I got my pram from smyths super cheap its lovely aswell ideal, I drive everywhere so I hardly used a pram last time so learnt my lesson on not spending over bored. Maybe wait till the black friday? Xx

@Sunshinemoom oooo i agree with gizmo keep a eye on those could be back labour! Maybe take a trip up to triage to have a little check xxx

Gizmo1983 · 20/11/2025 07:47

@Jadeypie yeah I hope an appt in the phone so I rang and asked they said it’s voluntary apparently they didn’t used to inspect every room but then Infant deaths happened in the rooms they didn’t check. It does feel very intrusive and a bit offensive i don’t feel very comfortable with it not as I’m worried it’s a death trap but I don’t really want a stranger in every room if my house. My spare room is full of boxes from emptying my grandma who died house and the interior of our caravan that we empty over winter so technically that’s a massive hazard but baby won’t go in there so im
Not sure what she’ll say xx

Oh i totally get it! Its abit like a invasion of privacy feeling isnt it. Oh dont worry we all have junk rooms or draws hahah. They should only really want to see where baby is sleeping and if its set up safely ect. Xxx

@Jadeypie think it’s just hormone overload I’ll just show her round I’m sure it will be fine lol xxx I think I’d normally be fine it’s just with all this bedrest from having a stitch things aren’t as nice as I’d normally have for a visitor and hubby has worked such long hours to cover for me not working I think I am just feeling guilty and hormonal . 🤪🤪🤪.

dubkitten · 20/11/2025 08:51

All done, baby looking good with a strong heartbeat and has turned and is now head down.

Over here the health visitor doesn’t make any visits before the baby is born. Not sure if they come after it but I think it’s usually we go to them for appointments

OP posts:
Sunshinemoom · 20/11/2025 10:31

My cervix closed but got loads of discharge there! Which makes sense with eveything I’m losing. They swabbed again but they happy for me to go home they told me to keep an eye out as when I’ve wiped a couple times it’s slightly pink. So maybe my body just gearing for labour

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 20/11/2025 10:48

My section has been pencilled in for 30 December but with the caveat that it could be brought forward depending on what happens with growth scans and my glucose levels. Exciting and incredibly daunting at the same time!

Gizmo1983 · 20/11/2025 10:55

@Sunshinemoom definitely safest to get checked you’ve got us all on the edge of our seats lol. Is your back any better ? Good that they swabbed just to cover everything xx
