@Sunshinemoom im 27 weeks will be so glad when I hit 28. Have u rested much or just lived life as normal I havent done heavy lifting and trying to avoid stairs. Xxx

Not long now until your 28 weeks! I’ve been resting pretty much. Done the odd thing like my baby shower etc but overall resting. I didn’t realise how hard it is to avoid stairs! 😩 are you resting or just taking it easy?xx

Gizmo1983 · 26/10/2025 13:17

@Sunshinemoom yes I’ve been resting as well some days I find it ok others I’d love to be out and about. Haven’t been and looked at car seats and pushchairs yet there’s no where close that u can just park up and walk in so bit worried about that don’t know how late I dare leave it x

Yeah that’s exactly how I feel. The most thing I miss is a bath, I can’t wait to have one again. Yeah and they definitely something you need to try in shop. I went to John Lewis to test different pushchairs out then you get money off if you order from there again. Think I saved £100-200. Yeah as got to make sure they also both in stock when your order them x

Gizmo1983 · 26/10/2025 15:16

@Sunshinemoom omg a bath would be heaven at the minute mine has clean laundry in lol. And never thought I’d say it but I’d love to do more housework lol xxx

As soon as I’m healed after birth I’m going to have a nice long hot bath. Yeah just to be doing more around the house would be good. I did 3 loads of washing the other day to help my partner out and I felt joy 😅 XXX

Hi ladies

If any of you are suffering with pgp make sure your midwives refer you too physio. Ive been today and she was so helpful. Gave me all kinds of tips and exercises I didnt even no about. Also been given crutches and wow the difference it makes when walking is amazing already. Dont get me wrong felt abit of a tit at first, I have zero coordination hahs. Also got a ball to do some stretches on too

Hope everyone is doing as well as they can. Xx

Cannot believe how shattered I am these days (hopefully a combination of 30 weeks and half term so it’ll ease off a bit when the kids are back next week). It’s like first trimester times a bunch - definitely don’t remember being this bad in my previous pregnancies.

Finally got around to having the doctor prescribe omeprazole and looking forward to that being available at the chemist more than I probably should…

I am exhausted every day now too (I’m 31+1). Can’t seem to shake the tiredness. I think it’s just the third trimester 😫 I feel the same re previous pregnancies although I was younger with my other pregnancies though and this one is fully kicking my butt!

I hope the omeprazole gives you some relief. Pregnancy heartburn is a whole other level!

@Jadeypie glad you’re doing a bit better!

My hip and coccyx pain has been getting a bit worse and midwife said I could self refer for physio if I needed to. Wasn’t sure if I was being over dramatic 😅 but it is impacting my sleep so I may submit it and see what happens.. ordered myself a ball though because sitting, lying or standing too long hurts so thought the ball might help with that.

Oh go sounds like you need too!! She really recommended the ball and she also said get those little bean bag things you can heat in the microwave to put on our achy hips. mines more my groins and pubic area and underneath. Sounds like you have pgp its awful and doesnt leave till after the baby. Its horrible of a night I sympathise l, I end up getting up and getting on the couch because just feel like the bed makes me worse. I would recommend the crutches too they really do take alot of pressure off x

Jadeypie · 29/10/2025 07:30

Morning 😊

Is it just me or does anyone els keep getting the "oh god the baby will be here soon?" Like im not scared of labour, actually looking forward to it. Im scared of what's life going to be like once hes here? Chaos, hectic hahs. Is going going from 1 to 2 harder than 0 to 1? Anyway thats what keeps popping into my mind. I do get overly excited feeling too like awww I crnt wait to see his little face and smell him ahhaha xxx

Personally I found going from 1-2 easier than going from 0-1. What will the age gap be? I have 2 boys who are 2 years apart and I found it really lovely. I know it’s easier said than done, but try not to panic or let anyone scare you because I found it really enjoyable.

I’ve noticed people like to be really negative! Random strangers too. I had a lady at a hotel reception (while on our baby moon might I add), sigh and say oh you’ve got it all to do again and then tell me how her grandson is a nightmare going through terrible twos, I’ve had people say I must be crazy having a new born again. I find it shocking that people never have anything nice to say. Yes it can be hard, but it’s also lovely. I’ve loved raising my other 2 children. I’ve found that super frustrating this time with how negative people can be about pregnancies and babies.

My god PGP is kicking my ass (literally)
It has gone from slightly achy hips and coccyx when sitting/standing/lying in one place too long to being unable to walk properly in the space of a week or so! How have you ladies been doing it, the thought of another 11 weeks of this is terrifying!!
Glad I mentioned it to the midwife though as I’m already booked in for physio, was expecting a longer wait to be honest.
I’m still working because it’s mainly affecting my walking in the evening and I think being home will not be much better because I’m less likely to walk around during the day so I’ll still have the same level of pain at the end of the day, if not more maybe, but DH thinks I should go sick.. we will see how physio goes and go from there I think!

Im not going to sugar coat it but it gets worse! Mine has anyway. It was just a night thing to a all day thing. My left leg, groin and pubic area is my worst. Ive kissed good bye to sleep its impossible with the pain. I have found sleeping on the couch is the best place to get some sleep (dont no why)
Im absolutely misreble with it and it makes me feel so useless im just like 8 ½ weeks to go ha. The only think Ive been recommended is managing it the best I can which is getting in and out the car with knees together, standing from a sitting positin correctly turning in bed ect. Hip exercises on a yoga ball and those bean bag things you heat in the microwave. Plevic floor exercises and hip thrusts every 20 mins. Tbh im not the best at the hip thrusts bump just feels in the way and awkward doing it ha. I also am at the point of needing crutches to walk, which are a godsend tbh.

You need to take time off work and rest! You dont want to make it worse and then be stuck with it after baby is born. Managing it now gives you a better chance for it to disappear after birth xxx

pussinboots28 · 01/11/2025 07:36

Hi! I’m due Jan 17th. First time mum. Was expecting to have a c-section due to heart condition (have always been told it would be a section), then found out obstetrics and cardio are happy for me to have a vaginal birth - now I’m petrified 😔

Im 29 weeks today, starting to feel pretty overwhelmed with how close to the end I am!

curliegirlie · 01/11/2025 07:56

Ahh don’t be petrified. Third time mum here and I’d be much more scared about the prospect of a c section than a vaginal birth…it’s just the idea of having to recover from a major op with a newborn and two others! I’ve managed to avoid csections so far, so keeping fingers tightly crossed for this one too. I’m 27.5 weeks and can’t believe I’ve got another nearly 3 months of feeling this heavy and tired (and will only get heavier!) 🤪

TigerLily38 · 01/11/2025 10:12

@pussinboots28 can you not request an elective one? I believe the NICE guidance has changed now to state women can request electives, although hospitals don't HAVE to follow this I think most now do! All of my friends have had elective sections in the past 5ish years and I'm booked for one in January due to other issues...if you're really worried I would ask and see what they say ❤️❤️ my consultant was so lovely and said that an elective section definitely sounded like it would be best for my circumstances and physically/mentally, just depends on the person as some mums would do better with vaginal but worth having a discussion if you can 😊 xx

How everyone doing?

i ended up in triage again saturday for abdominal pain and reduced movements, they found im measuring 3 weeks behind so waiting for another growth scan. I honestly think its how baby is laying!

they also found protein and leukocytes in my wee so waiting for results back if I’ve got uti, I have no symptoms of uti though.

however, I’ve woken up with lower back pain and now I’m not sure if I should call triage again?

Better to go back than not. I’d call them. You’re not wasting their time. They want to see you if you’re worried. X

Due 25th of Jan and was also in triage yesterday for back pain and side/pelvic pain. Feel your pain. I think it was the way baby was lying but still feeling the pain today.

I ended up having a growth scan today, so popped into triage to explain the new back pain symptom. They said they still waiting for my results back, if not better in a couple days to go back.

I am starting to wonder if it’s pelvic girdle pain! It’s not nice at all is it feeling this pain and not having a reason what is causing it!

Yeah I’ve had lots of pelvic pain too and I know I read before PGP can be felt in the back. The midwif etoday said she thinks baby has moved head down so maybe that’s it!! How did the growth scan go? I have one Thursday.

do you sleep with a pregnancy pillow? I’ve not got one but think I might cave.

Ah that would makes sense! My baby is head down as well. Yeah good. Bump measuring 3 weeks behind but he’s on 37 centile got another growth scan in 2 weeks. Hope yours goes well Thursday.

yes I have one. Helped so much!

Jadeypie · 03/11/2025 19:05

@Sunshinemoom your just not having a break are you! Could possible be pgp! Or could be a uti hopfully results come bk soon. My backs gone tonight I had crazy pressure and lightening crotch going the school and my back and hips have not been the same since so think hes lying funny. Been midwife today and hes head down too so could be that playing a factor. I have my consultant wed with the prem team and midwife wants me to mention about a growth scan too them. Im the opposite hes measuring big. But I take them with a pinch of salt they had me down with ds being small and behind and he wasnt xx

We havnt got long! Hang in there xxx
