Oo looks sore and maybe infected a little bit xx

It’s more itchy than sore. Went to the chemist and they gave me a cream but was looking at the cream last night and it seems to be an antihistamine cream for bites but I don’t think it’s a bite. Gonna try some Sudocrem on it over the weekend and contact the GP Monday if no improvement

@TigerLily38 for sure!! I’m 26 weeks today and I can really feel the movements! All sorts too - turning, kicking etc. and I have an anterior placenta!!!

We bought the buggy and car seat today - feels like a milestone! Going to start doing the nursery soon :)

So have developed this over the last couple of days. Any ideas?

This looks a bit like acne but I would say slightly infected. See if sudocream helps but if not call gp Monday

Oh this is lovely ❤️❤️ and soon you’ll be holding your little baby. What a year it’s been for you 🥺 congrats and happy 26 weeks! Xxx

Confusedmermaid1 · 19/10/2025 21:09

We had a spontaneous 4D scan yesterday because there was a last min offer on and baby didn’t really want to play ball, spent the whole time like this 🙈😂
We did get a few half face pictures but I probably wouldn’t bother next time, seems baby has to be perfect position to get the good ones! Was lovely to see her again though. She yawned and it was very cute.

Look at her little ear and fingers though!!! 😍 We’re going back for another one tonight - the sonographer wasn’t happy with the pics we got at our last appointment so invited us back. Let’s hope baby puts his knee down this time!

Jadeypie · 20/10/2025 07:30

Aww love these 4d scans. They amaze me!! I was thinking of getting one but dp wants to keep his little fsce a suprise concidering i forced him into finding out the gender this time, so only fair haha.

Hows everyone feeling? I didnt last long in work yesterday, i managed 5 hours and was in agony with this pelvic girdle pain. Had horrendous sleep so think my days are number3d in work. Looks like i will have to go on the sick once again and then i have annual leave in dec xx

I think I’ve pgp also, physio tomorrow to confirm, but it’s making sleep even impossible. Can I ask what kind of job you do! ? Are you on your feet or desk based? I feel super guilty for even considering taking time off as I’m home and office based but if my sleep is in anyway affected I don’t function (hello ADHD) so find work extremely challenging as it’s a thinking job.

Confusedmermaid1 · 20/10/2025 08:31

@RealTealQueen awh glad you get to go back!
It’s so funny watching them, feel like you get to know their little personalities! She swerved the Doppler at the midwife appointment too so clearly she’s stubborn and doesn’t like strangers like her mother.. 😅😂
Hope you get some lovely pics!

@Jadeypie sorry to hear you’re still struggling! Definitely take the time you need off. I’ve saved nearly all my leave to finish in December too, it’s getting closer!

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 20/10/2025 08:37

First day of our half term and DS got up at something past 5 (compared to his usual school wake up of closer to 7) so I’m very much feeling it. Have a growth scan today so hoping that provides a much needed boost since it’s frowned upon to neck a red bull whilst pregnant

Nynm23 · 20/10/2025 08:49

@Thegirlhasnamechanged I’d give a limb for a tin of pink monster. I don’t even particularly drink it non pregnant, but I think it would really hit the spot!

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 20/10/2025 09:24

@Nynm23 same! Don’t normally drink energy drinks as they give me headaches but my husband had a Monster Lemonade yesterday that I wanted to get down my neck 😂

Should probably start a new thread but wanted to ask the hive mind here first.
We've just been for our first nursery visit to get an idea of our options when I go back to work. Wondering if there is anything specific people think we should prioritise? It's hard without knowing our baby at all yet!

do they provide formula, nappies etc or do you need to provide it?

What is Staff to child ratios?

is there a app where meals, naps etc get uploaded.

is there available funding places?

do you pay a consumable fee?

if I think of anymore I’ll let you know

I made sure to ask what kind of outdoor provision that they had (so they showed the outdoor space for the kids but how often do they get to use it) and staff retention info

PinkFlamingo888 · 20/10/2025 11:01

Hello ladies, how is everyone getting on?
I’m 27 weeks tomorrow, but I don’t understand how that isn’t 3rd trimester??
I’ve had leaky boobs over the weekend but from googling I can’t start expressing colostrum just yet!
Overall I’m still feeling pretty well and know I’ve been lucky throughout the pregnancy but I cried at work today anyway, and am just so ready to be done now!
Have a growth scan later which I’m looking forward to!

Sickness policies - how long do they need to be out for different illnesses. Really varies across nursery’s here, luckily ours are pretty good but I’ve a friend who’s toddler is chucked home at the sign of a sniffle, which are many once they are up and about.

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 20/10/2025 11:09

@WildFinch oh and if they are registered for the tax free childcare scheme alongside the funded hours.

God I couldn’t do retail with this, you’ve been a trooper! I’m finishing on the 8th - counting down the minutes!

WildFinch · 20/10/2025 12:40

Thanks so much @Sunshinemoom @Thegirlhasnamechanged and @Nynm23 this is really helpful! Some of those questions she did answer but I'll email her the others. Got two more visits booked so will go armed with the questions then.

The trimesters are not even, are they? I think they start the third at 28 because that then leaves 12 till 40 weeks. But it doesn’t add up! 😂 Did you have some nipple pads in? Seems a bit early, doesn’t it? Baby doesn’t need it yet! Good luck with your scan. I had one this morning too. All looking OK.
