@Sunshinemoom so far so good with the RSV. Not even an achey arm after laying on it all night

Thank you!! Hopefully stays the same for you

Just to update you.. I ended up doing my own research and saw an endocrinologist who confirmed that the GP and lab had failed to take into account that I was pregnant (even though it said it on the clinical request for the bloods) and you have a different normal range for thyroid blood tests during the first, second and third trimester. Bottom line is, my thyroid is ok and I don't have to go on Levothyroxine! I was on it for 4 days but luckily it won't have harmed baby. I had to pay for a private consultation to actually get any information. It's just ridiculous! I've been so anxious but I'm so relieved.

Wow that is actually appalling and caused you unnecessary stress!! It’s crazy how you had to go private to get anywhere.
I’m just relieved you and baby are okay and you got the answers in the end ❤️

dubkitten · 15/10/2025 14:44

I’m finding it so hard to concentrate in work, just can’t get into it as so tired. It doesn’t help that it is our busiest months and I still need to organise handovers for my work if they ever find someone for me to hand it over to

Well this is what I thought was the outcome, until I received the letter from the consultant this afternoon which seems to still be saying I have low thyroid and using big terms that have terrified me further, feel like I’ve been gas lit from the appointment! This has been such a stressful pregnancy 😔 Sorry to be ranting on!

WanderWalker · 15/10/2025 11:42

Hi all it’s so lovely to hear all your updates 😊 and see your scans ❤️

In terms of RSV, flu vac side affects…I had mine last week and I’ve been poorly since. Achy, full of cold and a cough. I did have 2 blood tests, two vaccines in one day and my son had his flu nasal vac at the same time so prob a mixture of all of the above! Hopefully you will all breeze it and not feel bad 😊

I’m also measuring ahead, but not surprised as I feel huge.

100% the same with the out breath thing. I’m actually relieved a few of you have mentioned it because I thought there was something wrong. My heart rate jumps right up and I’m so breathless when I do the simplest of activities!

I am also in the no sleep team… like a rotisserie chicken 🤣 a mixture of round ligament pain, hip pain and rib pain (which has really ramped up over the last week).

I can’t believe how quickly it is passing. Does everyone else feel like it’s flying by?

I’ll bear in mind just in case feel ill after RSV jab. I hope you feel better soon.

yeah I’ve brought a birthing ball as my hips are hurting so much atm!!

yes this pregnancy seems to be flying by!

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 16/10/2025 09:10

Agree that this pregnancy is flying and nice to know it is for others too so not just a result of two other DC that never sit down

GP has come back and confirmed that I have anaemia so prescribing me iron tablets. Very much hoping they put a stop to my asthmatic grandma impression

Don’t apologise rant away!
You would think rather than sending you a letter they would discuss it in person with you, explain it properly and give you the opportunity to ask any questions! So are they saying you do need the medication now? X

Jadeypie · 16/10/2025 09:49

Oh i agree with everyone with how quick this pregnancy is going!! Only seems like yesterday we found out.

I had a awful night once again with my legs! I didnt go asleep till 12 (shock) normally asleep at half 7 ahha and then just tossed all night dont think i got a solid hours sleep xx

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 16/10/2025 11:05

@Jadeypie here in solidarity with you with the lack of sleep last night. Very glad to be working at home and might pull a long lunch to try for a quick nap or something. Absolutely dead on my feet today

dubkitten · 16/10/2025 11:43

I found from when I found out in May until the end of August dragged but the last two months have flown by and usually November and December go really quick for me as I am so busy in work that we won't feel it now until January!

I also got a call yesterday to say I’m slightly anaemic. It’s just one thing after another! Third trimester for me today, according to my app. It’s all starting to feel a bit real, isn’t it?!

Apparently I don't need the medication so just have to hope that the consultant knows what he's talking about.. Feel like I've been on a ruddy rollercoaster! Just 14 more weeks to go!

dubkitten · 17/10/2025 11:31

Went to bed last night feeling totally fine - 15 minutes later I was committing 😩 these babies are really keeping us on our toes! Feel fine then again this morning

Jadeypie · 17/10/2025 18:08

Well im off to my neices 18th tonight!! Stuffing myself into a dress that just about fits ffs ha. Feel like ive had a fair few braxton hicks today or hes trying to turn coz his movemnt have been full on x

TigerLily38 · 18/10/2025 01:59

Thanks ladies, the pain eased off and baby was moving fine so think it was either digestion related or baby's position as you said @peps2917 & @Jadeypie ! 😊

Could I ask does anyone else have big movements in the 2nd trimester? I'm 26 weeks and baby has always been super active, but today when I got in bed (her most active time) it was like huge stretches and kicks, rolls etc! I don't necessarily think its a change in pattern as shes always active at night, but more change in how large the movements are! I'm thinking this is just because shes grown bigger now? What are you ladies all experiencing? X

Yeh your movements will get stronger and stronger! And depending on position too! Im 29+2 and omg some days I feel like hes trying to stick his foot out my cervix and og a night if feels like he either pushes his feet against the mattress or his hands and stretches haha 🤣🤣 god nos what he was doing yesterday but he was doing alot of big movements like rolling more than kicks and my belly was pure moving xxx

I’m almost 26 weeks and this last week my baby’s movements have been huge too. Just like you say, it’s more like rolls, stretches, twists etc. I think it must be as they’re starting to get bigger now and stronger too!

Confusedmermaid1 · 18/10/2025 07:17

@TigerLily38 yeah I’ve been having some really big movements the last few weeks too.. some of them can be quite painful even 😅 she especially likes dragging her limbs across my stomach or stretching out and pushing against it 😅 sometimes it can be quite sharp too
My SIL is also pregnant but she’s due Nov and she was saying about her baby’s movements and I said god can’t imagine these ones getting much bigger because she already hurts me and MIL said ‘oh it’s just a flutter at that stage’ 🙄😂 maybe I’ll eat my words in a few weeks but it does not feel like a flutter any more! 😂

WildFinch · 18/10/2025 09:38

@TigerLily38 same here at 25 weeks. The other evening I saw my belly move to one side as she moved. The.movements are definitely more purposeful than the earlier flutters. I do still get lighter flutters especially lower down and then bigger movements higher up. I guess it depends where she is.

curliegirlie · 18/10/2025 10:38

I’m definitely feeling a lot more movements this time round than with my previous pregnancies, which both had anterior placentas!

I’m also feeling silly things like doing the school run (a mile long walk, so not hugely far) is getting challenging as my bump just feels sore when I try to hurry. I’m only 25+3! So I’ve got over a trimester of this still!

Am amazed when thinking back to our last holiday when pregnant with DD1. I was about 28 weeks and we went to Istanbul - we did soooo much wandering around the city! I can’t imagine doing that sort of trip now 🤪

Sunshinemoom · 18/10/2025 11:50

Officially in the third trimester today!!

dubkitten · 18/10/2025 13:06
