Just seen you had your baby shower too @Sunshinemoom how are you feeling with everything thay went on with you?

@Confusedmermaid1 I think the side sleeping makes the achy hips ten times worse and if we could sleep on our backs would make a difference. Im not really a back sleeper anyway more of a one leg up and down on my belly hahah. Not long now anyway till we can sleep however we like hahah xxx

And she told me to rebook for 31 weeks. Xx

Haha! That’s great he measuring right on track.

Yeah baby shower went really well. Was nice to get out the house after being in for weeks, honestly grateful I’ve got this far. Just counting down the days until 30 weeks and I think the anxiety will calm down a lot more xx

We went for a fancy scan on Sunday. Baby spent the majority of it with his knee pressed against his face so she’s invited us back for another one to get more pictures but we got a few good ones. He’s measuring just slightly ahead by a few days but then he always was. We’re at the midwife again this afternoon so I hope she gets the Doppler out again - my husband is coming so it’d be nice for him to hear it. As for how I am, same as everyone else with the sleep - hips, leg cramps, lower back, usual stuff 😂

Love the photos!! At least offered to go back. So can see him again. I’ve just got out my midwife appointment and they got the Doppler out to listen so should be the same for you 🤞🏾 the joys of pregnancy!!

WildFinch · 14/10/2025 11:04

Glad to hear everyone's updates. I've got my 24 week midwife appointment later.
Very much the same with achey hips at night, I have to keep turning like a rotisserie chicken.
I had my first stranger comment at the weekend. After walking up the cliff path having eaten a huge bowl of soup a lady said I should take care of myself, asked when I was due, then told me I was big for 6 months 😭 I was only slightly out of breath!

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 14/10/2025 12:57

Had my 28 week midwife appointment today and my RSV jab. Bump is measuring ahead at 32 weeks so it’s no wonder I feel like I’m carting around a bowling ball. Next booked in to see her again at 34 weeks but thankfully have a consultant appointment at 32 so shouldn’t feel too long that I’m left to my own devices… hopefully.

midwife chased up my blood test from 16 weeks and baby has the same blood type as me so no anti-D needed. Hurray!

Sunshinemoom · 14/10/2025 14:09

Hope your 24 week appointment goes well @WildFinch

@Thegirlhasnamechangedlet me know how you feel after your RSV I’m due mine in a couple of weeks. No wonder felt like that. At least got a consultant appointment between so not a long period between

Sunshinemoom · 14/10/2025 15:50

Had my 28 week midwife appointment today, was measuring 2 weeks behind so had a growth scan this afternoon, all good. Baby measuring on 53rd percentile he’s laying in a awkward position that’s why my bump is small 😅

WildFinch · 14/10/2025 16:00

Thanks @Sunshinemoom!

@Thegirlhasnamechanged I'm 24 weeks and measuring ahead to 28 weeks. Although the midwife said she couldn't quite tell where the top of my uterus was. I've got to have a scan in the next 2 weeks to check. She didn't seem concerned and said it might just be my anatomy. Did yours book you an extra scan to check baby's size?

I got really dizzy lying on my back. I wonder if it's because my uterus is retroverted when I'm on my back it tilts backwards into me more. She couldn't find the baby's heartbeat either until I sat up.

TigerLily38 · 14/10/2025 17:02

Hi, hope everyone is doing well! ❤️

I'm 26 weeks today and had a period pain type cramp all afternoon in the right lower part of my bump, sort of above my groin. Anyone else had this? I think its only on one side, I'm hoping it's just round ligament pain but I'm terrified of brushing things off in case it's pre-term labour or something! (Stay off google if you want to save your sanity, too late for mine 😅) x

dubkitten · 14/10/2025 18:49

Hi all - struggling with the tiredness here - just constantly feel wrecked. Suppose it’s getting me used to the sleepless nights to come 😂

anyone else finding they are getting out of breath very easily?

If you are concerned I would call triage. They rather people call than spend the time stressed

OP posts:
peps2917 · 14/10/2025 18:56

@TigerLily38 could it be (sorry if too much) that you need a number 2 or maybe just related to digestion? Sometimes I have that! Defo call triage to check though - I’m sure it will be ok.

I had my GTT today and my god it was awful! That drink was disgusting! I had an awful night sleep as I got woken up by sudden sharp leg cramps to the point that I was screaming (!!!) and my husband had to rub it to make it go away but it was still quite sore after and I couldn’t get back to sleep. Then no coffee allowed before the test and it was just sooo long! But it was productive as I had my flu and whooping cough jabs - just not the most pleasant morning 😂

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 14/10/2025 19:57

@WildFinch I already have a growth scan booked at 32 weeks (due to being on blood thinners since the first trimester) so she didn’t book anything extra in. The bigger bump is on trend with where I was at in my first two pregnancies though

@dubkitten very out of breath very easily. I’m hoping one of today’s blood tests come back as low iron because I’m sounding like an asthmatic old lady whenever I walk up the stairs 😂

27+6 today. He’s a boy!

I’vw been short of breath for about three months now. On our dog walk there’s this little part where we have to walk up what used to be a railway embankment. My heart rate gets up to about 150 every single time. Faster than baby’s! 🤣 I had a man in his sixties a couple of weeks ago encouraging me on. I was wearing a coat though so I don’t think he could tell the reason I was struggling!

I can understand how you feel, I’ve been feeling the same, but it’s definitely not your fault! Yes Google is defo the enemy when pregnant, it always shows worst case scenario. I hope you are okay. Sending you a big hug! ❤️

Just to update you.. I ended up doing my own research and saw an endocrinologist who confirmed that the GP and lab had failed to take into account that I was pregnant (even though it said it on the clinical request for the bloods) and you have a different normal range for thyroid blood tests during the first, second and third trimester. Bottom line is, my thyroid is ok and I don't have to go on Levothyroxine! I was on it for 4 days but luckily it won't have harmed baby. I had to pay for a private consultation to actually get any information. It's just ridiculous! I've been so anxious but I'm so relieved.

WanderWalker · 15/10/2025 11:42

Hi all it’s so lovely to hear all your updates 😊 and see your scans ❤️

In terms of RSV, flu vac side affects…I had mine last week and I’ve been poorly since. Achy, full of cold and a cough. I did have 2 blood tests, two vaccines in one day and my son had his flu nasal vac at the same time so prob a mixture of all of the above! Hopefully you will all breeze it and not feel bad 😊

I’m also measuring ahead, but not surprised as I feel huge.

100% the same with the out breath thing. I’m actually relieved a few of you have mentioned it because I thought there was something wrong. My heart rate jumps right up and I’m so breathless when I do the simplest of activities!

I am also in the no sleep team… like a rotisserie chicken 🤣 a mixture of round ligament pain, hip pain and rib pain (which has really ramped up over the last week).

I can’t believe how quickly it is passing. Does everyone else feel like it’s flying by?
