@CountingDownToAutumn yes the only thing I could stomach for a while was Chinese chips, rice and curry sauce! But after bringing it back up last week I have now gone off it! Every day I have a cheese sandwich and salt and vinegar crisps for lunch and I hate it as it feels so unhealthy 😞 but it's literally all I can manage at the moment!

Mummysparrow · 13/08/2025 11:04

What I can stomach seems to chabge quite often. At the moment I am finding it hard to stomach vegetables which is great when I am also having constipation from the progesterone and need fibre, not just a lot of carbs. Currently at home (off sick) fancying a Starbucks and Doritos. Hubby forgot to buy salted Doritos on the food shop yesterday and all I want is Doritos and houmous 🤣

TheFutureIs · 13/08/2025 11:15

I find dried fruit really helps with constipation, I always have a few dates/apricots/prunes each day.

Bumblebee1984 · 13/08/2025 11:24

@TheFutureIsI has this the other week. Nothing tasted right or nice.
@CountingDownToAutumni also has a short phase where nothing was appealing. It’s gotten a bit better although all I wanted for dinner last night was toast lol

@Orangeloveri already have a bit of a bump that I’m trying to hide. I got down my maternity clothes from the loft the other day and am in the process of washing it all. Need some new things though especially jumpers and a jacket. Have been favouriting some things on Vinted and will buy after my scan in a week and a half

Casper94 · 13/08/2025 11:28

@TheFutureIs I'm similar, so many things just taste "chemically" to me now - apples, vinegar, ready salted crisps, wotsits - it's very annoying! 🤣

9+1 now and the sickness finally seems to be easing - typically the doctor rang me today about prescribing something now that it's stopping!

Just had 12 week scan letter through for 5th September so can't wait for that now 🥰

Fallulah · 13/08/2025 11:44

EmilyF88 · 13/08/2025 09:23

@fallulahit’s in their guidelines to wait 14 days between scans. If they scan you earlier, then you might end up having to wait even longer for a conclusive answer.
It is the absolute worst having to wait though! xxx

I know you are being completely logical, thank you. I had a proper snotty cry about it yesterday but am feeling a bit more resolute today. If I hadn’t had the stupid early scan I would be progressing in blissful ignorance until I see the midwife next week. It’s the not being able to control any of it that is so annoying. If it’s going to be fine, I want to know… if there’s something wrong I want it to hurry up and let me know!

EmilyF88 · 13/08/2025 12:33

It’s so hard isn’t it. I did exactly the same went for a scan (thought I was 6 weeks but it turned out I was 5 weeks 4 days) then had to wait the two weeks. It was awful. In fact I have done this with two of my previous pregnancies too… so I definitely know what it’s like. I think the whole time before you can feel movement is terrifying!! xxx

Fullrecoveryispossible · 13/08/2025 14:55

I had a scan on Friday measuring 7+2 which fits my dates exactly, but symptoms have massively reduced since then. Hoping it’s normal…!

Ahh we're 1 day apart I think and same scan date 😎

My main issue atm is horrible taste in my mouth so I'm constantly snacking or drinking to get rid- I'm going to be size of a house if I dont quit it 😩

Had a work function too recently & BOY was that tough to get through to avoid the not drinking questions

LevelOneAgain · 13/08/2025 17:06

No food is appealing right now and many things turn my stomach. However I'm very nauseous if I don't eat and have realised some things are more tolerable than others so I've smacked constantly for the last 3 days. I was away with colleagues for 2 of those days, working most of the available hours, and they honestly must be judging me for my constant snacking. But it works as while I've food in my mouth, I'm not nauseous. I hate it. I'm a 3 meals a day type normally!

RiverThunder · 13/08/2025 18:32

Completely missed that there had been a new thread! Hope everyone is doing okay, and sending love to those who have had bad news ❤

I’ll be 11 weeks on Friday and scan is booked for the 26th! Booking appointment a few weeks ago was all good, no issues!

Feeling for everyone with bad nausea, mine is bearable on Cyclizine but smells are the worst thing now! The fridge and the dishwasher absolutely reek to me, I can’t stand being in the kitchen😅

FlossiePot91 · 13/08/2025 19:41

Ahhh I’m the same with the food, apart from oranges I can’t seem to find anything that sticks. Drinking is getting me down too, I need to find a nice juice / fizzy drink that tastes right 😭
Had my scan through, 29/08 just starting to feel so real now.
Hope you’re all doing ok xx

Zephyr123 · 13/08/2025 20:06

My current diet is houmous, pizza, cherry tomatoes, cucumber and crumpets.

and juice (which I never touch!)- specifically clementine or lilt.

Had my scan date come through- 3rd September.

Trying to sort a multi gen/family holiday for Christmas. The zika list shown to me at my booking in appointment is so much shorter than travelpro but can’t find it anywhere online. Even India isn’t listed…

Basically turning 10 weeks here tomorrow/ fri

kp94 · 13/08/2025 20:39

Hello everyone!

Feels so surreal posting here… 🥹 I found out on Tuesday that I am pregnant. I am having a private scan tomorrow so I can actually see it to believe it and hopefully get an idea of dates (I think I’m around 8 weeks) and booking appointment came through this morning for Friday!

Only symptom really is nausea. I can’t stomach much at all, have hardly eaten anything today.

It’s my first pregnancy and all a bit of a shock, have no idea what to expect (besides the obvious), but very happy to be riding the wave with you all 🥰

Wooo scan date twins 🥰😁

CL05071998 · 14/08/2025 09:11

Just out of my scan and all good, saw the heartbeat which was such a relief after a loss. Measuring 5 days behind? Although I am certain of my dates, but the same thing happened with my son and he caught up ( Although they never changed my dates which was annoying)
Getting prescription now for Cariban, praying it works 🙌

Mushroo · 14/08/2025 10:00

@CL05071998 that’s great news! Like you say I’m sure the dates will catch up.

MummyV2021 · 14/08/2025 14:12

Hey everyone! I’ve been so busy I’ve barely been on here! Still catching up but thought I’d post a new link to the FB group for anyone wanting to join. For newbies - the group is completely private and hidden and only accessible via link, so if you join nobody can see that you are part of it! It’s a completely safe space!

Baby26 · 14/08/2025 14:13

I haven't posted since the old thread.. went for an early scan today at 9 weeks. Baby measuring a week behind and no heartbeat. This is my 2nd loss (3rd including a chemical) this year.

SummerLover89 · 14/08/2025 14:17

@Baby26 I'm so sorry for your loss, look after yourself and take the time you need.
I was also in the other thread and never followed up, also had my second loss, measuring behind and no heartbeat. It's been a hard time but want to post now in case it helps any others in same position feel less alone.
Good wishes to all the mamas to be and all of us trying again, don't lose hope 💕💕

MummyV2021 · 14/08/2025 14:21
