EmilyF88 · 11/08/2025 15:44

I’m so sorry for your loss @mumtrovertxx

Sydney1234567 · 11/08/2025 15:52

Hi , avid reader first time poster. Just wanted to send my love to mumtrovert.. have been watching and hoping for you xx

I am due 21st march with number 3. Had missed miscarriage in between my two boys after having scan at 7 weeks and all being fine and then no heart beat on scan at 10 weeks after loss of symptoms.. Feeling anxious ++ this time , have had scan at 7 weeks again and all looking spot on ( although did with m/c too) ..

No loss of symptoms over here so far though feeling nauseous ++ and havent made it into work as a prison nurse for over 2 weeks.. Signed off with anxiety as don't want to tell anyone there yet!..
Thinking of booking another scan at the end of next week when il be nearly 10 weeks. Wish first trimesters weren't so stressful!

Welcome and sorry about you loss that must have been awful 😢

it’s totally normal to have that anxiety, I too also had a scan at 7 weeks and everything is fine so far but 9 weeks now and currently booked a private scan for 10 weeks 5 days so next Friday. I still have symptoms but not half as bad as they where when I was 6-7 weeks so I am feeling the same but trying to stay positive 🙏🏻😔

Hey all 👋

Anxiously jumping in from the infertility thread.

Currently 7+6 with a baby that a previous clinic told me would never happen. So grateful I didn’t listen and went elsewhere!

Very very anxious!

Casper94 · 12/08/2025 11:54

All well on the scan, measuring 9 weeks exactly so EDD is now 17th March 🥰

TheFutureIs · 12/08/2025 12:06

Great news @Casper94must be such a relief

PickleThePenguin · 12/08/2025 13:32

@Casper94 Great news! What a relief 😊

@PlanBFertility Welcome! I am 7+4, so very close due dates, and am also feeling very anxious

Fallulah · 12/08/2025 17:06

@mumtrovert been thinking of you today. Completely understandable if you don’t want to come back to this.

I am being driven slowly mad by the slowness of time. I still have the slight pulling feelings, my nipples are ridiculously sore and I feel a bit sick - surely these are positive signs that there is actually a baby and not just stupid sacks! Absolutely no cramping, bleeding or pain. Do you think I really need to wait two weeks since the inconclusive scan? That would take me to 8+4 by my dates or just 8 according to what they thought on Friday. I almost regret getting the private scan - I could have just carried on in blissful ignorance! I’m off work because it’s the school holidays but don’t want to plan anything because I think well I might be being sick by then, or I might be bleeding by then. Hate not knowing!

Zephyr123 · 12/08/2025 17:39

I had my booking in appointment this morning and just had bloods come back as in range.

Keener to get my scan date though! EDD is 11th March at present.

mumtrovert · 12/08/2025 17:43

Thanks everyone for your lovely messages.

@Casper94 glad you had a good scan this morning. Everything will be OK 🤍

@Fallulah aw thank you. I had a D&C this morning. The care has been faultless but being a patient in the hospital I work at was interesting.
Considering I may have had an answer not long after my last scan, perhaps see if they’ll scan you any closer to the week mark? Prior to this I would’ve said try and wait the full fortnight. You’re in my thoughts and I hope you get to see your baby next time.

I’ll bob out now, good luck everyone xx

@fallulahit’s in their guidelines to wait 14 days between scans. If they scan you earlier, then you might end up having to wait even longer for a conclusive answer.
It is the absolute worst having to wait though! xxx

Orangelover · 13/08/2025 09:56

So sorry @mumtrovert this is so unfair for you. Really wishing you well onwards from here Flowers

Still well here although in bed at 9pm most nights and not sleeping great. However I'll take it in lieu of feeling sick!

Is anyone else looking at maternity clothes for autumn and hoping they've got a little bump to dress by then? Blush

CL05071998 · 13/08/2025 10:05

Has anyone tried Caraban for sickness and does it actually work?

I'm going to ask for a prescription tomorrow at my scan, the nausea is making me so miserable 🫠

Mushroo · 13/08/2025 10:08

@Orangelover i have a dress with a pumpkin on the bump from my last pregnancy! Hope I have enough of a bump to wear it!

Im feeling a bit down today. I had gestational diabetes last time, and I’m 99% sure I’ll get it again. So I should really be having a low carb diet, but I keep eating loads of crisps and chips because I’m thinking ‘what if i can’t have them after next week’ if I get diagnosed, and then feel guilty and that I should be doing more exercise. Sigh.

I’ve already bought some maternity dresses for work

CountingDownToAutumn · 13/08/2025 10:37

Is anyone else having a nightmare with food? All food is completely unappetising other than McDonald’s cheeseburgers. The first two weeks all I wanted was ramen and then one day I woke up and the thought of eating it was sickening. I imagine it will go the same way with cheeseburgers.

I am becoming very concerned with weight gain if it carries on like this. I could really do with salad being the next craving!

TheFutureIs · 13/08/2025 10:54

Not to that extent, but lots of things are tasting odd to me
