Has anyone else’s symptoms started to ease around 8 weeks? I’ve only had mild symptoms anyway (I know I am lucky) but they definitely aren’t as frequent or as strong as they were.

Mike improved after about 9.5 weeks

9 weeks tomorrow and mine have been not as bad this week I asked my midwife about it yesterday and she said it can be totally normal for your body to start to get used to it around this time. I Still have sore boobs but I am on progesterone so …

Orangelover · 09/08/2025 13:24

Just back from my scan at 7+4 where they dated me a couple of days ahead and saw a baby with a heartbeat. Such a relief. Continuing to feel pretty well so now just going to take it as a blessing instead of worrying and at least I know that for now it's ok.

EmilyF88 · 09/08/2025 13:43

@Hopeloveandkindnessthat’s good to know. I’m on progesterone too but I guess everyone is different 🙂 xx

Mushroo · 09/08/2025 15:07

@Orangelover ive been pretty symptom free but my tiredness comes and goes. Shattered yesterday but fine today.
Im trying not to read into it too much and just waiting for my next scan (2 weeks!)

bookworm24 · 09/08/2025 15:46

@Casper94such a good idea. What sites did you use for this?

@Fallulahsorry to hear that and hope the two week wait goes over quickly.

@mumtrovertwill be thinking of you next week and have my fingers crossed for your scan.

@EmilyF88yes mine eased around 8 weeks but slightly returned at 9 weeks the exhaustion definitely comes and goes. And nausea has returned this week. It’s normal for symptoms to come and go so don’t worry.

EmilyF88 · 09/08/2025 16:05

Thank you @bookworm24 ❤️

I just keep thinking that if something goes wrong, this would be a 5th conception that led to nothing and I don't think I could do it again.
At the same time, it's looking really positive as out of those 4 times, it was only once I made it to the scan stage but the scan wasn't looking good.
And now, I've had 2 good scans so staying positive but time is going so super slow... Not helped by the fact I can't keep myself busy due to not having any energy.

Ginnygi · 09/08/2025 16:41

Wondering if I should book a scan for tomorrow 🙉

TheFutureIs · 09/08/2025 16:55

When are you due your 12 week scan? I think I’d stop at 2 private scans

The thing is that I don't know yet.

I only had one private scan for what it's worth, the first one was done at the EPU. I'm all for doing what feels right but might hold off until I get a date for the 12 week scan and, depending on when it is, will make my decision then.

TheFutureIs · 09/08/2025 17:32

How many weeks are you atm?

TheFutureIs · 09/08/2025 17:43

How are things with your husband @Ginnygi

Ginnygi · 09/08/2025 17:57

Although things are good and in a way, I think the fallout was very good for us, I'd still like some counselling I think. I think counselling is a good idea and could prevent/reduce the risk of any future fall outs.

DobryWieczor · 09/08/2025 20:55

I’m fuming because I caught up with a friend who proceeded to chain smoke in front of me at the pub - 9 cigarettes in 2 hours! She knows I’m expecting too. And the “alcohol free” beer - which I explicitly said to the barman I need something with no alcohol in - was 0.5%. I’m sure it’ll be ok on both counts and rationally trying not to worry too much but I really didn’t need either of these things today when I’m already worrying about the 12 week scan.

TheFutureIs · 09/08/2025 22:39

0.5% is the same as fresh orange juice, it’s absolutely fine!

EmilyF88 · 10/08/2025 06:58

Thank you @Bumblebee1984❤️ I didn’t spot your comment yesterday. How far are you now? xx

Bumblebee1984 · 10/08/2025 07:54

@EmilyF88I will be 11 weeks tomorrow

Is it?! I never knew that that's crazy haha!

TheFutureIs · 10/08/2025 09:51

Lots of foods and drinks have a small amount of alcohol

Welp, I'm gonna be panicking for the rest of the day.
I'm at work and I was giving someone insulin, they grabbed me and the needle that had just been in them went into my hand. There is no cover for me to leave work until 5pm to go to a&e and get checked so now I'm just going to be sat here panicking for 2.5 hours.

TheFutureIs · 10/08/2025 15:21

Oh @Casper94thats awful! Hope everything is ok, is that usual protocol that you can’t get checked immediately? And do they know you’re pregnant?

CountingDownToAutumn · 10/08/2025 17:36

Hi everyone, can I join?

According to my dates I am 7+3 but I had a scan this afternoon that put me measuring a bit ahead at 7+6. Either way it will be a towards the later end of March baby all going well!

This will be my fourth but dp’s first. He’s already so excited about everything. It’s really nice because he’s an only child. His family are/will be so excited which will counteract nicely to my family’s attitude of it’s your fourth so no big deal!

Hope everyone is getting on well and having a lovely Sunday!

Casper94 · 10/08/2025 18:05

@TheFutureIs yes ideally I should've gone to a&e straight away but tbh now I'm here I don't think it would make much of a difference - they've basically said they can take my blood and keep it in storage but my occupational health person at work needs to call them to approve them to test it, which won't happen until at least tomorrow. So, although it's the absolute tiniest chance, if I have contracted anything I've basically just got to wait now. Feel like screaming. Still here as now have to wait to see a doctor because I'm pregnant.
