i have a 1 year old but it doesn’t make this pregnancy any less anxiety inducing!

oh yes please! I’m Wolverhampton so not far!

rainycoldboo · 06/08/2025 10:09

Anyone got somewhere in London?

magley · 06/08/2025 11:10

Can someone please reassure me that symptoms easing off is completely normal?

I am an anxious wreck since I found out I’m pregnant last week.. I’m nearly 6 weeks, the only symptoms I had were sore boobs, and the crampy feeling for nearly a week.. the cramps have stopped since yesterday and my boobs are nowhere near as sore as they first were ..

I have been googling constantly and have read that it’s normal, but would love to hear others experiences of symptoms coming and going … my last positive test was Monday and that was a clearblue 2-3 weeks

I have booked a private viability scan where I will be 8 weeks by then

Hey,

it is cherished moments, and they have 5 stars on Google

pistachiopastry · 06/08/2025 16:31

Congratulations to all the new joiners!

@magley- I think symptoms can come and go, and even if symptoms stay it’s no guarantee all is well either. It’s a really tough time - mentally and physically - as there is so much unknown!

I‘ve already started chugging the full fat coke 🙈. Had 1 bottle (500ml) a day in the first trimester of both previous pregnancies to help with nausea. Know it’s not good for you (sugar and caffeine etc etc), but it’s one of the few things that helps. Although my nausea isn’t actually that bad or that frequent…. yet!!!

Another5am · 06/08/2025 17:45

@pistachiopastry thanks for the full fat coke tip. I’ve had a couple of High5 electrolyte drinks today in flavour ‘berry’ and they’ve helped the nausea. I hate being sick 🤢 I know it’s a good sign but it’s actually really worrying me, like how I’ll cope if I vomit a lot.

100% normal I think. My boobs were sooo sore even loose clothing brushing over them was hurting me now they dont hurt at all. I get on and off cramps not constant

I have read a lot that symptoms can be so on and off at this stage and kick in more after 6 weeks but some people are lucky and dont have a lot! I barely had any in my 1st pregnancy x

bumbling · 07/08/2025 18:35

Hi all, cautiously joining. I have been trying for 18 months. I have had 2 losses in that time one at 8 weeks and one at 5, I'm hoping it's 3rd time lucky for me. I have had positive lines since 13DPO, I'm currently 17DPO but I have been worried they are a bit light. I'm learned today that my SMU gives better results so I will test with that over the next few days.

FarAwayBird · 09/08/2025 00:34

Hi @bumbling Welcome! I’m so sorry for your losses. Hope this is your rainbow 🌈❤️

CinnamonBuns67 · 09/08/2025 07:46

I'm joining here too. My due date is 17th April :)

hollyhocks2 · 09/08/2025 23:16

@CinnamonBuns67 ❤️ welcome and congrats!

Lavenderkitty · 10/08/2025 10:04

Congratulations all. I'm cautiously joining you all if that's ok. I had a MMC and a D&C on the 19th of June. I'm so shocked I'm pregnant again and I'm really hoping this one will make it. I'm due the 16th April.

Agirlnamedlink · 10/08/2025 15:32

Hey all,

First time MN poster, long time lurker 😅

Im here after finding out last week, also cautiously joining after ttc baby no.1 for the past 7 months after a mmc last December. The anxiety is REAL right now, but I've decided to try and lean towards optimism as much as my anxious brain will allow! Having a bit of a clear out and deep clean with a few walks here and there this weekend is really helping me look to the future. Pysically making space for a baby in my home seems to be soothing.

All going well I'd be due 16th April

Hope everyone is feeling as well as they can be and enjoying the sunshine today. Congrats to all!

pistachiopastry · 10/08/2025 19:50

Congratulations on the new joiners! Really sorry to hear about the MMCs @Lavenderkittyand @Agirlnamedlink, and sending you lots of positivity.
@Agirlnamedlink- good idea about the clear out etc and physically making space for baby!

@Another5am- if High5 works for you then do it! Definitely healthier than Coke!! I’ll have to give it a go sometime. Hope you’ve not been too sick.

kel1909 · 10/08/2025 21:20

Hey ladies

cautiously joining also. I’ve had a strong positive today at 10 dpo, I’m over the moon but the fact it’s so strong is also worrying me a little too.
we've been trying for a few years now with 1 ectopic, 1 mmc and 1 chemical just a couple of months ago….prior to the chemical we hadn’t conceived for 2 years and had had a failed round of IVF earlier this year also. This pregnancy is natural and I can’t believe it.
going by the calculator we would be due the end of April.
what do you guys think of the line? I took 2 at the same time as I couldn’t believe how dark it was for 10DPO. I had some implantation bleeding at 5&6 DPO too.

good lucky to everyone with their pregnancies ❤️

I'm joining here too. My due date is 17th April :)

Congrats! I'm due 17th April too :)

TruthUnwinding · 11/08/2025 07:54

I'm sorry to hear about those of you who have had previous losses. I have had quite a few losses, and have been on the 'worst girl gang ever' 'pregnancy after loss group' on whatsapp which has been really helpful. I recommend it for anyone who has had losses before. <3

hollyhocks2 · 11/08/2025 15:13

@kel1909 congrats! That is a really really strong line for 10dpo but why does that worry you exactly? What could explain it? Are you worried about a multiple pregnancy? Is it possible your dates are different than what you thought (sorry I'm sure you've analysed your calendar looking for an explanation but is it possible?)

kel1909 · 11/08/2025 16:41

@hollyhocks2thank you! I’m not actually sure, i think I’m just shocked at how strong it looks for 10DPO and maybe protecting myself from being excited after previous losses. I did read a molar pregnancy can have high HCG but I know they aren't common. I would be delighted with twins although it would be tough. My mum and my sister both had twins actually.
I was charting BBT and also digital ovulation test and both would confirmed ovulation on day 11 so I think my dates are spot on. I’m now scared to do another test though 🤣. I think I’ll wait a few days and do a clear blue with the weeks just to confirm x

Another5am · 11/08/2025 18:05

@kel1909 it does look strong but as you say maybe you implanted early or maybe it’s multiples 🤞 I always think twins would be tough as little ones but then grow into brilliant friends for life and hopefully play and entertain each other! Sorry to hear about your tough TTC journey ❤️ it’s no wonder you’re anxious! Be kind to yourself x

There should be a post in here with a link to a WhatsApp group. It’s quite active so might be worth joining if you fancy.

I had a faint line at 9dpo and only have a 9 day luteal phase so I’m thinking I implanted early too. Does that affect app and scan dates do you know? I’m due 12th April according to my app!

kel1909 · 11/08/2025 19:41

@Another5amthank you so much ❤️.

congratulations on your pregnancy I hope you are feeling ok.

I don’t think it does as my previous pregnancies that I’ve gotten further with they’ve never changed the dates of my appointments due to early ovulation and implantation, they just gave me 6 weeks from my last period (because of prev ectopic) and then another 6 weeks from that date for my 12 week. It’s so hard waiting isn’t it. I’ve tested early as well so even longer to wait as I’m only 3 plus 2 due to early ovulation and implantation.

I’ll search back for the watsapp group to join too thanks.

my app is saying 27th April I’m due 🥰🤞🏻 x

Another5am · 11/08/2025 20:02

No worries @kel1909. Thanks, I’m doing okay - just bloated! I have very few symptoms but I’m only 5 weeks and 1 day I think.

The waiting is horrible. It’s such a ‘nothingy’ time even though you have this big news. X

swellkin · 12/08/2025 04:18

Hihi! I'm pregnant!
Feels so good to be able to join this thread and say that - keeping this secret is so hard and I agree with other comments here that it's stressful not to get hopes up while still feeling happy. I'm not in the UK, but am reading the hilarious Mumsnet Guide to Pregnancy and it left me longing to be part of th community.
My period tracker app, Clue, says I'm due on 6 April! My first scan is on 19 September - where I am now they don't scan earlier than 11 weeks unless the doctor explicitly asks for it.
Question to anybody - are you gaining weight already and showing signs of pregnancy bod?
A lot of what I'm reading about pregnancy says your body doesn't show until week 12 or even 20, but today, my colleague guessed I was pregnant.
She was so certain too, when I denied, she actually dug further to ask if I was lying! I caved, and she said she could tell from my belly and something overall different about my physique.

It's true, today I spent 10 seconds longer zipping up my dress I usually zip up really easily, and looking at my body, I just feel and look oversized somehow. My body looks.... different to me... like everything is slightly larger. I don't know if it's just my brain playing tricks on me, if I'm hypersensitive, or if like, overall this happens. I've gained 2lbs and my boobs have definitely gotten bigger (that's how I guessed!!!). But even staring at my limbs, they look just... the teensiest...larger?

I'm also feeling like I'm running hot - though that could be the heatwave in where I am in Canada now. I read our blood volume is increasing a lot now. So is this why my body looks and feels... Magnified? Am I the only one?
