Just had a positive, faint line and a 1-2 on clear blue. This puts my due date as April 2nd. Anyone else??

i have a 1 year old but it doesn’t make this pregnancy any less anxiety inducing!

@swellkin congratulations. I've gained weight too but I'm guessing it's water retention and bloating. I get away with loose clothing but fitting in my fitted trousers is a struggle hahah.

Mamajoojoo289936 · 12/08/2025 06:09

@swellkin it does say your ribs expand during earlt pregnancy, to allow growth space inside. thats why bras and tops can feel tighter in the first few weeks.
Youre probably more conscious of your own body than anything though, any slight change or change in how clothes fit and it makes you look properly, or at least I know I am! Im into my 6th week and have ditched normal bras for stretchy sports bras 😅

Harbourmoon · 12/08/2025 06:44

Congratulations! Just had my first positive and due date for the 23rd of April!

Its normal for symptoms to fluctuate. Easier said than done but try not too worry too much. My symptoms this time are completely different. Cramping has stopped for me and that made me worry however after looking on 'Dr Google' it said that symptoms come and go in the early stages.

I just found out I'm pregnant with 1st. The cramping is freaking me out, I tested 2 days before my period was due so it feels similar to my period coming... Is that the same for you?

Another5am · 12/08/2025 07:38

@Harbourmoon i cramped so much around my period date that I was convinced I’d be bleeding when I checked. I’m still cramping now but not as frequently. Week 4, I cramped most of the day and was convinced I’d bleed. Good luck and congrats x

bumbling · 12/08/2025 07:38

Morning everyone. Is anyone still testing even though you already have a positive? My tests have been progressing but slowly. I am 5 weeks 2 days today and the test line still isn't as dark as the control line. It's getting there just not quite yet. I only have one test left so I am going to keep that for Sunday and then stop. I know that the testing is not good for me and can't tell me the future. I am really looking forward to getting passed the first 12 weeks.

Harbourmoon · 12/08/2025 07:40

@Another5am I feel like no one talks about this! This is totally new info to me, honestly took a pregnancy test thinking it would be another negative as I felt some cramps. Hopefully it all passes as normal

Hihi! I'm pregnant!
Feels so good to be able to join this thread and say that - keeping this secret is so hard and I agree with other comments here that it's stressful not to get hopes up while still feeling happy. I'm not in the UK, but am reading the hilarious Mumsnet Guide to Pregnancy and it left me longing to be part of th community.
My period tracker app, Clue, says I'm due on 6 April! My first scan is on 19 September - where I am now they don't scan earlier than 11 weeks unless the doctor explicitly asks for it.
Question to anybody - are you gaining weight already and showing signs of pregnancy bod?
A lot of what I'm reading about pregnancy says your body doesn't show until week 12 or even 20, but today, my colleague guessed I was pregnant.
She was so certain too, when I denied, she actually dug further to ask if I was lying! I caved, and she said she could tell from my belly and something overall different about my physique.

It's true, today I spent 10 seconds longer zipping up my dress I usually zip up really easily, and looking at my body, I just feel and look oversized somehow. My body looks.... different to me... like everything is slightly larger. I don't know if it's just my brain playing tricks on me, if I'm hypersensitive, or if like, overall this happens. I've gained 2lbs and my boobs have definitely gotten bigger (that's how I guessed!!!). But even staring at my limbs, they look just... the teensiest...larger?

I'm also feeling like I'm running hot - though that could be the heatwave in where I am in Canada now. I read our blood volume is increasing a lot now. So is this why my body looks and feels... Magnified? Am I the only one?

I definitely started wearing my pregnancy bra before I found out I was pregnant (and i found out at 3 weeks 5 days).

I told myself I wouldn't, but I'm gonna test tomorrow (a week after my first positive), just because my symptoms have been so up and down. I was told to only test if my symptoms changed. Had a few losses so I don't wanna wind myself up.

It's so hard to not wind yourself up this early on. I'm sorry to hear about your losses. I had 2 as well and it has changed how I view these first few weeks. It's harder to relax I think. My symptoms have been up and down as well. My boobs are sore but some days more than others l. I have felt dizzy only twice. I feel nauseous but only at random times that definitely comes snf goes. Some days I'm exhausted and others I'm full of energy. I'm just all over the place really.

It is, I am just constantly trying to distract myself. Have you got an early scan booked? I've got one for 7 weeks due to my past losses (and also due to the medicine I used to conceive I am more likely to have an ectopic).

TruthUnwinding · 12/08/2025 09:55

I just found out that Bettina Rae is doing a yoga series every week until 40 weeks. She's just started, so there are weeks 4 and 5 available. I'm between week 4 and 5 so this is perfect for me!

I did week 4 this morning and it was very relaxing.
She also has many videos about loss and pregnancy after loss, so I highly recommend her. Tried to post a link but the website wouldn't let me.

I don't have anything booked yet. I will be 40 next week so I am going on holidays just after that. When I get home I will have hit the 8 week mark and I can make my first GP appointment then. I hope everything goes well for you at your scan.

Have a nice holiday! :) That makes sense to wait until after you have been away.

JJHN22 · 12/08/2025 17:56

I had an early scan yesterday after 4 years ttc & 2 miscarriages. Expected to be due 4th April – my birthday! 🎂 All being well 🤞🏻

Funny coincidence: my daughter, who’s turning 6 this December, shares her birthday with her Dad 🎂😅

Aw congratulations, sounds like the scan went well! :)

Bibiddi · 13/08/2025 12:13

@JJHN22 so glad youre scan went well.
i could have went this week too but was too nervous as my last two pregnancies the scan wasnt good news.
I booked in next week on Wednesday instead

Katied1991 · 13/08/2025 15:36

Hey, new here due 14th of April as long as everything goes well currently 5 weeks 1 day. I have 2 older children a 10yo and a 5yo will be 11 and 6 when baby comes along. Wishing everyone a happy and healthy pregnancy.

OpalOcean · 13/08/2025 16:46

Congratulations everyone. I’m due 13th April - have a 3 year old already ☺️
Thinking of booking an early scan when I’m around 8 weeks.
Has anyone thought about telling work yet? I’m really anxious about it!

Harbourmoon · 13/08/2025 21:30

@OpalOcean due on the 23rd with first! I think I am going to wait until I'm 12-14 weeks before I say to work. Considering an 8 week scan, did you have one with your first?

eekness · 14/08/2025 11:27

Hi, new to the group :) tested positive with a very strong line (not sure if that’s good or bad) and due all being well 18th April.

I have had lower back pain/similar to lead up to period for last 5 days and not sure if that’s normal…it’s not cramps just pressure if anyone knows what I mean? With the last pregnancy it was sore boobs but this time nothing other than back pain

marlibs3 · 14/08/2025 11:37

Hi all! I'm pregnant due 28th March, but my first baby was two weeks late so I'm fully expecting an April baby :D I'm 7w 5d and so excited. We have two children already and this is going to be our last baby so we're just soaking every moment in! I found a great community on mumsnet with my first so I thought I'd come back and say hi :)

My symptoms are a bit less extreme today, just tired and nauseous haha, how's everyone feeling? :)

marlibs3 · 14/08/2025 11:39

@OpalOcean @Harbourmoon I haven't told work yet because my manager is off, but I probably will when he's back!
I had a scan at 7w and saw a heartbeat so in my mind that's it fairly certain of progressing but you can never know of course! I had an early scan for both of my previous children, I don't know how I could have coped waiting til 12 weeks!

Ahhh exciting! We had an 8 week scan with our first and found it really reassuring - he even looked like a tiny baby ☺️

I feel exactly the same! The waiting at the start is the worst. My midwife has booked us in really early this time though - there on Monday at 6 weeks ☺️
