Just had a positive, faint line and a 1-2 on clear blue. This puts my due date as April 2nd. Anyone else??

i have a 1 year old but it doesn’t make this pregnancy any less anxiety inducing!

With my first I had a private scan at 8 weeks and it was lovely! Could see tiny baby (like a jelly bean!) with the heartbeat. If you can hold on until 8 weeks instead of 7 that would probably be better

That’s reassuring ☺️ I will try to wait until then

Ash2345f · 05/08/2025 07:57

If it’s your first it’s definitely worth going but I would wait until around 8 weeks so you can see a little more :)

magley · 05/08/2025 07:59

Another5am · 05/08/2025 06:40

I think 8 weeks for me should be around Aug 30th so hopefully flies in as I’d like a private scan too!

@Ter355a me too, just trying to focus on today and not think too far ahead x

Exactly 8 weeks for me according to the Flo app would be Aug 29th so same time ☺️

Mamajoojoo289936 · 03/08/2025 12:52

@Bibiddi where are you based? Do you book your own NHS one?? Or are you out of the UK?

Ive booked with a midwife for the booking in appointment which is on 19th August and I've booked a private scan for 21st August but I think my midwife books my 12 week nhs scan. [If Im remembering right!]

@Mamajoojoo289936 no I’m in Australia.
we normally get a dating scan around 7-8 weeks.
I have booked mine on the 18th and then will see my OB during the first week of September.

when do you first see your Ob

lalalalalala2024 · 05/08/2025 08:37

I have booked a scan for 7 weeks, only because the Sonographer doing it has her shop closed for two weeks after, I’ll go back to her for 10 week scan also. A couple of my work colleagues have been to her and she’s only £40 which is reasonable compared to others.

rainycoldboo · 05/08/2025 09:01

Can I tentatively join? I tested positive yesterday at 9dpo and stronger tests today at 10dpo. Period not due until Saturday and I'm really scared it’ll go wrong! Im 37 so worried about the increased risk at my age!

Any tips for the first few weeks? What vitamins is everyone taking? Anything else anyone would recommend to eat/drink? I feel like I did loads of research about ttc but now I’m here I feel a bit clueless (have 10 year old DS from previous relationship but can’t remember anything)

Congratulations @rainycoldbooI’m 38 so a bit worried about my age too, but plenty of women have no problems at this age so keeping my fingers crossed. I’m taking Proceive vitamins and omega 3. I’ve not really made many changes aside from switching to half caff coffee.

@lalalalalala2024thats a really good price. They’re all around £100 ish here, so I’m trying to hold off as long as I can. I will be booking an early scan before the NHS 12 week scan though, I can’t wait that long!

snowyowl10 · 05/08/2025 10:14

Congratulations@rainycoldboo that's a very strong line for an early test! ☺️ I'm taking the vitabiotics pregnacare tablets. Upped my fruit & veg intake a bit but my main change is cutting down on tomato-based foods as this was a big trigger for heartburn & sickness for me last time 🤢 It's the acidity apparently.

rainycoldboo · 05/08/2025 10:19

Thanks @GrapefruitZestand @snowyowl10- I saw the pregnacare ones were recommended! I was taking Proceive max and then ovum when ttc. When did you make the switch - I’ve just forked out for 3 months supply of ovum….
Is anyone having a NIPT and have any recommendations?

Miffy1994 · 05/08/2025 13:40

Hi all,
tentatively joining you all too! Got my bfp today at 12dpo! This will be #2, I have a 1yo daughter already. Very excited!

DoubleDandelion · 05/08/2025 14:56

Hey everyone 👋🏼 Please may I nervously join too? I’m the same as you @Miffy1994 12DPO and a nice strong line- I think it puts us as due on 16th April? I recognise a few names here from the TTC thread too.

This will hopefully be baby number 3 for us with the first two being ID twins who are now 3. I’m still breastfeeding them like I’ve read a few of you here are too. I go back and forth in my head all the time about weaning them but I think I’m just going to go with the flow and see what happens!

Another5am · 05/08/2025 19:48

Congrats ladies! I am taking folic acid and vit D. Taking 25mg B6 too as it’s supposed to help with nausea.

I’ve stopped my multivitamin as it has vit A in it. Will buy some pregnacare although I’ve heard the iron can make sickness worse. I’ve felt sick today which worries me as I’m not even 5 weeks yet! I’ll avoid tomatoes.

I’m 28 and this will hopefully be first baby x

rainycoldboo · 05/08/2025 21:56

@Another5ampregnacare max is what ChatGPT said was the best 😂! I’m still taking my preconception ovum ones at the moment and will do until I miss my period which is due Saturday - I don’t know why, just seems right in my mind (probably mad)

Charliepops80 · 05/08/2025 22:37

Hey all, for those not on the WhatsApp group I’ve created a fb group. Once we think we have no more joiners I can make it a hidden group and not just private

Hello! Room for one more? Somewhat nervously joining at 12dpo. Got a faint positive on Saturday and peer pressured @DoubleDandelion to test 🤪

Hoping for sticky babies for all of us! I haven’t told anyone except my husband. Feeling shy to even go to the docs which is so silly! I already have a 3 year old ☀️

rainycoldboo · 06/08/2025 04:29

@Charliepops80ah thanks - I don’t have fb, please can you reshare the WhatsApp?

Anyone got weird sleep already - I’m so tired but woken at 2.30am to pee and then not got back to sleep the last 3 nights #Argh

This made me laugh @FarAwayBird let’s be honest I didn’t take much convincing 😂

So glad to see you here 🥰

Woooo, been TTC for 2 years with multiple losses, and just had a BFP on a FRER. Despite everything I'm feeling quite positive and happy! Last time I had a BFP was May 2024.

Apparently I'm 3 weeks 5 days, but I'm 14DPO as I took letrozole from the fertility clinic and it makes you ovulate quicker than you usually would. I've got progesterone pessaries to take as well.

I've definitely been having the symptoms but have been trying to ignore them until I could take a test. Congratulations everyone, I'm happy to finally join the group. Hoping this is my rainbow finally...

GrapefruitZest · 06/08/2025 07:59

@SmartiesPartyThanks! I thought I’d already checked ultrasound direct, but obviously hadn’t. The one near me is £85, so not the worst but quite expensive still. I’ve done more looking and found somewhere not too far from my office for £60 so might book there in a few weeks

@rainycoldboohere’s the WhatsApp link https://chat.whatsapp.com/JBcL92H6ges1UXKxOzm9AG?mode=ac_t

I’ve been having awful sleep this week, really bad trapped wind and heartburn keeping me up half the night. I don’t remember this with my first (well not this early on) so hoping it passes quickly!

Ash2345f · 06/08/2025 08:56

Hey ladies have you cut coffee out completely? I did with my 1st but struggling this time round x

ekam · 06/08/2025 09:28

@Ash2345f I tried then immediately had a massive migraine for 2 days straight - not sure if it was caffeine withdrawal or just a coincidence but I then took coffee again and the migraine went away. So now I allow my self a tiny amount each day.
