Just had a positive, faint line and a 1-2 on clear blue. This puts my due date as April 2nd. Anyone else??

i have a 1 year old but it doesn’t make this pregnancy any less anxiety inducing!

@Bibiddi i agree with @Mamajoojoo289936 here and with my first i had very minimal/ minor symptoms all throughout so not necessary that you will feel every symptom or for very long

Bibiddi · 01/08/2025 15:45

Im starting to panic I’m losing symptoms.
I know its still so early but the other day my breast were so swollen, heavy, hard like a rock and sensitive. (Literally a teashirt rubbing on them hurt like crazy)

They are still larger than normal, but no longer sensitive/ hard.

Its normal for symptoms to fluctuate. Easier said than done but try not too worry too much. My symptoms this time are completely different. Cramping has stopped for me and that made me worry however after looking on 'Dr Google' it said that symptoms come and go in the early stages.

Another5am · 01/08/2025 19:14

I’m the same, I swear my boobs were more sensitive yesterday! Took another test today and the line was strong though so hoping it’s just fluctuations like people are saying 🤞

So lovely to have so many of us already ❤️ is anyone setting up a Facebook group? I’ve joined the WhatsApp but can’t resist a Facebook page 😂 I’ve never done one before but happy to set up if anyone would like? Wishing everyone sticky little beans ✨

I’d love a fb group! My March 18 one was a god send and we still update now! 🥰

Mamajoojoo289936 · 01/08/2025 20:32

Does anyone else knit/crochet/cross stitch btw??
Trying to make a plan of projects I want done before baby arrives but knowing full well I won't finish any of them. Currently knitting a plain cardi! Interested if anyone else is knitting n they wanna make a chat and share updates!

hollyhocks2 · 02/08/2025 08:18

@Sez281 I'll be v interested in what your consultant says about bf and cyclogest. Hope it's ok as I've started it now! The logic that it's not orally absorbed by us and therefore not by the child either makes sense to me.

My line yesterday wasn't noticeably darker so that's got me down a little bit but will wait and see what tomorrows is like. I was 5 weeks yesterday so that's a milestone to get to with no spotting or bleeding. That's a little win. Spent the morning yesterday with newborn baby twins, they were so gorgeous. Their velvety heads ❤️

pistachiopastry · 03/08/2025 10:34

Morning all, how is everyone today? I vomited for the first time today - in my last pregnancies that didn’t start until week 8 or so, and I had it pretty bad for a few weeks. Hoping it’s not as bad this time but not counting on it!!

@Bibiddi - symptoms do come and go I think… especially early on. I’ve also been worried, as some days I’ve had cramping and some not. And even on the days I have cramping I then worry it’s too much and that it’ll mean a MC (that’s how my MC started - really bad cramping).

@Mamajoojoo289936- love that you do that! I wish I could knit or crochet. So cute and impressive to make your own baby clothes!!

Bibiddi · 03/08/2025 11:44

Thank you so much everyone for your replies! its such a stressful nerve wracking time. I had two miscarriages last year (and one earlier) and everytime they were threatened my dr would ask about my symptoms and if they were lessening so it is hard not to over analysing everything.

I’m taking comfort that they are still enlarged and have been on and off tender since. Not as tender as they were previously, but I’m hoping thats just because my body is adjusting to the size and the fact I’ve swapped my bra so there is less pressure on them,
i’ll book my scan tomorrow and then just have to wait for that.

when is everyone else booking theor first scan?

Mamajoojoo289936 · 03/08/2025 12:52

@Bibiddi where are you based? Do you book your own NHS one?? Or are you out of the UK?

Ive booked with a midwife for the booking in appointment which is on 19th August and I've booked a private scan for 21st August but I think my midwife books my 12 week nhs scan. [If Im remembering right!]

ekam · 03/08/2025 16:24

@Sez281 @Matildahoney @Charliepops80 I'm also in the 40s club. Will be 43 later this year. My first one (4 this year) was an IVF baby after 16 years of trying (second round of IVF). I've been doing progesteron pessaries for the last week or so. Too scared for an early scan but thinking I might go next week.

Another5am · 04/08/2025 07:02

Morning everyone. Does my latest test look lighter to you? I slept from 10pm to 6am so it should be strong urine. It’s like the top of the line is dark but bottom is lighter than yesterday. That’s 15dpo today.

Due April 2026
magley · 04/08/2025 07:15

Congrats everyone ☺️ also due beginning of April (9th!) I’m only 4-5 weeks so very early days.

I’ve honestly bought around 7 boxes of pregnancy tests and besides myself with worry as I thought I was further along than I’m meant to be and was only testing 1-2 weeks. I first tested positive on Tuesday and after a very stressful week I’ve finally got my 2-3 on the clearblue! Despite hearing horror stories about the reliability..

@Another5amdefinitely not lighter, I’d say it’s the same x

Another5am · 04/08/2025 07:26

Congrats @magley and thanks, I can’t wait until I’m hopefully past these early days. It’s so anxiety inducing.

Same, I wish I’d found out later because I feel like it’ll be the longest first trimester ever!

ekam · 04/08/2025 07:56

@Another5am not lighter. Also i've stopped testing as soon as I got a positive. With my first, I took a test at 7 or 8 week or so, and it came out super faint, I also had some spotting then - took myself to a Window to the Womp for a scan and everything was good, pregnancy carried on uneventfully. That was when I learnt the line's darkness don't really mean anything.

Sez281 · 04/08/2025 08:14

@ekam congratulations! Nice to hear of another nearly 43 year old 😂 I started the pessaries too.. @hollyhocks2 my consultant didn't get back to me but like you I did more research and I do think it's ok while BF.

@Another5am I don't think it's lighter.. I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry. I tested constantly on my LO including hcg bloods and it drove me mad. I'm not testing daily this time but will do another digital tomorrow just to see if the weeks have increased as I have no symptoms and last time I had loads at this stage but trying to tell myself that every pregnancy is different

PurpleSpottedLeopard · 04/08/2025 08:44

@Another5am they look the same to me too. I’m exactly the same but do try not to worry about it, tests can look different for all sorts of reasons.

Nausea kicked in properly yesterday. For a little bit I was relieved as it was nice to have a proper symptom but I’m struggling now. Trying to remember everything that helped last time but it’s definitely harder to deal with whilst looking after a 2 year old!

Another5am · 04/08/2025 10:52

Thanks ladies. I took another test and it was much darker again which made me feel better. Regardless I’m stepping away from the tests as didn’t realise they don’t actually tell you much after the first positive and could just worry me more.

I start every sentence with ‘if this works out…’ and when talking about it with DH. Think I’ll feel better when symptoms hopefully appear.

Ter355a · 04/08/2025 12:43

@Another5am definitely not lighter. Looks the same 😊. I have stopped testing. Last test I took was 31st which looked the same as the one i took 2 days before. I havent done a digital though.

Im the same especially after my last 2 losses i havent been able to be excited yet this time round. I have sore boobs and nausea that comes and goes(havent had it since Saturday) but other than that no other symptoms.

Another5am · 04/08/2025 18:15

@Ter355a yeah I’m the same and after a loss it’s so hard not to be anxious about every little thing. Sorry to hear of your losses, it’s so difficult.

Thanks, yeah my boobs seem to fluctuate a bit too!

Ter355a · 04/08/2025 19:42

@Another5am it is hard and it doesn't make the journey any easier too. Constantly thinking the worst but I am also holding onto hope......Im taking 1 day at a time

magley · 04/08/2025 20:48

Is it actually true that your first NHS scan isn’t until 12 weeks? How are we supposed to go a full 12 weeks to wait.. the anxiety is killing me! 🙈

i don’t think I’ll be able to resist booking a private scan at 7 weeks .. has anyone else done this and how did it go? Could you see clearly?

Ash2345f · 04/08/2025 21:10

@magley i booked a scan at around 7weeks during my last pregnancy you couldn’t see much it’s more a scan to confirm viability and heartbeat it’s worth it for piece of mind if you are a little anxious. I’m going to wait it out with this one to make it more special I think.

With my first I had a private scan at 8 weeks and it was lovely! Could see tiny baby (like a jelly bean!) with the heartbeat. If you can hold on until 8 weeks instead of 7 that would probably be better

Another5am · 05/08/2025 06:40

I think 8 weeks for me should be around Aug 30th so hopefully flies in as I’d like a private scan too!

@Ter355a me too, just trying to focus on today and not think too far ahead x

Ok, thank you. I may hold out until 8 weeks then… I’m just so worried as it’s my first and I don’t know what to expect
