Just had a positive, faint line and a 1-2 on clear blue. This puts my due date as April 2nd. Anyone else??

i have a 1 year old but it doesn’t make this pregnancy any less anxiety inducing!

Anyone else tracking progression? I used up my last few and had good progression around the 4wk mark. 5wk today and caved a couple days ago and bought a 2 pack of new tests. Both clear positives but they look the same as each other despite being a few days apart. Trying not to read too much into it 🤦‍♀️

Yes I am trying to, i also dont seem to be getting much darker. I read online about the levels increasing every 48-72 hours so im trying to space them 3 days apart at least. Going to retest tomorrow morning. Dunno why im so bothered but I remember getting such a strong positive with my first [my ex made my test once/twice every day, from first positive at 4wks to after 7 weeks when i said id book an early scan instead, so i remember them being darkkkk lines]

@MrsKirb I only got my positive on Monday so I’m doing tests daily at the moment to see progression, I need the reassurance! Hoping I can wean myself off soon though and do a couple of how many weeks tests which is what I did when I was pregnant with my toddler. I think it does get harder to compare tests when they are a bit darker as the difference is less noticeable.

Hi everyone!

got a positive yesterday. Due date I think is April 10th. I already have a 2 year old.

Same due date as me and I’ve got a 2 year old too!

I actually just did online calculator and it’s came up April 7th. Won’t know for sure until I get scan! My first child was two in June. Cautiously optimistic here and good luck for you too!!

Hello ladies! Another nervous joiner here 👋🏼 hope you're all keeping well. I tested positive 26/07 , 1-2wks on a CB digital. Est dd is 03/04 but I only had my IUD removed 4 weeks ago so that is very much a guess. Big shock after taking 2 years & a MC to conceive our first. A very happy shock though. Not sure I believe it yet! :)

pistachiopastry · 31/07/2025 13:01

@Sez281- congratulations! I am also still breastfeeding my just turned 10 month old so I sympathise re exhaustion. But I’m also excited!

Mamajoojoo289936 · 31/07/2025 14:00

@Sez281 @pistachiopastry how are you both finding bf when pregnant?
Have either of you got any plans if you'll tandem feed?

I have a 5 year old now but we only stopped bf at 2.5, im really hoping I can bf bump all going well, but dreading relearning it all!! I kinda wish I had a closer age gap so I wasnt having to redo it all. What breastpumps are even good anymore!

Another5am · 31/07/2025 14:17

I am tracking progression but they are all faint, top is 9dpo, middle is 10 and bottom is 11dpo

I have an 11yr old 😂😂 partner has 16 & 11 too 😂🤦🏻‍♀️
definitely relearning it all too, this time not doing it alone so very excited but also very nervous about doing it with someone else, but in a positive way 🫶🏼

pistachiopastry · 31/07/2025 19:33

@Mamajoojoo289936- not planning on tandem feeding but it’s so hard to wean so who knows! Breastfed my first baby until 17 months (until the beginning of my second trimester with baby 2). Aiming to wean baby 2 by 15 months latest as I don’t want to be breastfeeding in the third trimester in this pregnancy.

You’ll get back into it I’m sure. Especially if you fed your first for so long. Can’t advise on pumps unfortunately as mine never accepted bottles 🙈

Charliepops80 · 31/07/2025 20:58

Hi ladies, tentatively joining as I just got my BFP an hour ago! 😳
my bff is out and not answering her texts and my OH has a standing date with his mates on a Thursday!! Worse thing is we don’t live together (been together 6 years but it works for us) and he stays his after the pub so I won’t see him till tomorrow night!
we haven’t been actively trying but we also haven’t been being careful… but I am 44 and he is 47, I only have one fallopian tube and my DD (7) took 3 years to conceive so I honestly didn’t see it happening! I was even considering booking in for the coil to help with perimenopause symptoms 😳 so this is a big shock!
I only tested as I spotted on Friday and was due on on Sunday but it still hasn’t happened and before I jumped to menopause stuff I wanted to be sure…
my head is all over the place!!

@pistachiopastry Oh it's great to hear if somebody in a similar situation. It's so crazy to think that this time last year we were like 7 months along, I'm not due back to work until the end of September.. then I'll wait a few weeks before breaking the news to them!

I don't think I'll tandem feed.. I've already started weaning her, we're down to one feed in the morning and sometimes a couple overnight for comfort which I'm trying to stop too as I'm shattered 🫠 if I had known what was coming I might not have started weaning as I am doing it because of returning to work etc. I agree with @pistachiopastry that I'm sure it will be like second nature once this little one comes along. I have occasionally used a dupe of mom cozy S2 hands free pump, really easy to use on the go!

@Sez281 wow what a journey, congratulations ❤️ but it’s totally understandable to feel overwhelmed when you’d never have expected this to happen after the long journey for your lovely DD. Be kind to yourself. My sis is about 18 months older than me and we are lifelong friends, it is such a lovely, close gap for your kids to have. Good luck :) x

Aww thank you for that🥹. I have twin sisters that are 13 months younger than me and we're super close too.. I'm sure it will be fine, I'm just in the throes of sleep regression etc with the little one so everything feels super overwhelming... I'm so glad to see so many positive posts on here and can't wait to hear updates from everyone, it reminds me of how far we've come x

Sez281 · 31/07/2025 21:39

@Charliepops80 Oh wow tentative congratulations! Isn't it typical that your friend isn't answering and OH away... this is why I love MN lol... I'm in the over 40s club too and definitely feeling my age at the moment!

Hi @Sez281 thank you for the reply!

congratulations! Glad there’s someone else over 40 here as well! I’ve just seen you had your little one not so long ago so you must have some processing to do on the surprise!!

I need to stop googling pregnancy over 40 and perimenopause… I think I might see if my gp will do a blood test to confirm as now I’m doubting myself…

why oh why did I have to test in a Thursday!! 🙈

hollyhocks2 · 31/07/2025 23:18

Thanks @mmp22 you're right, it's unrealistic not to be nervous. Plus actually, being anxious or stressed doesn't mean I'm not grateful to have got this far. We're feeling it all at the same time.

Oof @Sez281 that's amazing, the universe really wanted your DD to have a sibling! Give it time to sink in 🩷

@MrsKirb I've done two digitals 8 days apart and was very glad to see it go from 1-2w to 2-3w. Would you consider that? Expensive mind you, even for the twin pack.

Hello new joiners, lovely to hear all the good news. Funny how we are all tentative and/or cautious - no-one is like 'hiiii I'm so totally PREGNANT let's do this!' Makes me feel a bit better knowing we are all highly suspicious at the beginning 😌

hollyhocks2 · 31/07/2025 23:23

Wow @Charliepops80 your story is amazing too- how do you think your DP will react when you can finally tell him?!

On the BF front, I'm still feeding my 3yo maybe 2-4 times a day, no plan and no idea what will happen or how to navigate it down the line. Will just play it by ear and do what feels right for me I think.

Did my first progesterone pessary tonight after researching if they were ok with breastfeeding (seems so). Easy enough, just got to get into the habit, I'm rubbish at remembering things like that.

Another5am · 01/08/2025 05:34

@Charliepops80 wow congratulations!!

MrsKirb · 01/08/2025 06:57

@hollyhocks2 yeah I've done the digitals, got 1-2 wk around 13dpo then 2-3wk 5 days after that but they only reassure me for a short while 🤦‍♀️😂 I'm gonna hold off testing if I can because it just doesn't tell me anything and ultimately doesn't change anything either.

mmp22 · 01/08/2025 07:16

when is everyone thinking of telling their families? i only found out I’m Wednesday and already want to tell everyone! i go to my mums twice a week as she looks after my little boy so i don’t think I’ll be able to keep it from her for longer than 8 weeks tbh but i would like to wait until 12 just because of our previous losses

SmartiesParty · 01/08/2025 07:34

@hollyhocks2sorry I’ve scrolled back but can’t see , have you tandem fed before? I only feed once a day at bedtime and my 1yo isn’t overly attached to breastfeeding so I’m leaning towards weaning just because I don’t think I can work out the logistics of feeding two kids. My arms were already tired holding one baby to feed!

I “think” he’ll be happy… we spoke about it maybe like 2 years ago and he genuinely wanted another (he has a 13 yr old too) but now we’re both older and we’ve had a really difficult 6 months (we lost one of his best friends suddenly and neither of us coped well) so am still really nervous about telling him
