I have just had a positive result! Looks like I’m due early March 2026.
Second baby for me, eldest is 9 in September.

Thought it would be lovely to have somewhere to share our progress

6 weeks tomorrow and I'm now starting to get some waves of nausea, mainly in the morning from waking, through the school run, luckily subsides by the time I get to work!

Do the nhs offer earlier reassurance scans if you've previously experienced a loss or do you have to book privately?

BeastAngelMadwoman · 02/07/2025 20:47

MummyV2021 · 02/07/2025 18:28

@Renee33 hello cycle twin!! Exciting you're getting dye stealers - which strip tests have you been using?? Our tests were very similar early days and I got a 2-3 on the digital on Monday so I imagine you definitely would by now!

I've booked a scan with window to the womb for 6+1 (2 weeks today). We used them for my little boy and they were amazing! I would rather wait til 7 weeks but am literally going away for a family holiday for my mum's 60th that day and want a bit of reassurance/definitive evidence there is an actual pregnancy before I have to half announce it to everyone as there is a hot tub and there'll be drinking... so if I'm doing neither it will be super obvious! They all know we're trying and about the losses, so they would definitely suspect. I really want to tell my mum anyway, but so nervous to tell anyone yet!

Window to the womb have actually tried to call me today and left a voicemail wanting to discuss my booking. I have a suspicion they're going to try and convince me to wait until 7 weeks (although why they offer scans from 6 weeks when they'd rather you wait until 7 I have no idea!!)

I think I must be a cycle twin (triplet?) too! I'm 4+1 today

MummyV2021 · 02/07/2025 20:49

@Peanutbutterjelly123sounds like we’re on the same timescales - I have one 2 weeks today. Is yours private?

@Ohwelldonei think it varies by trust/hospital and whether you’re actually under the care of the recurrent MC clinic or not. I’m still waiting for my date through for my consultant appointment with the RMC so I asked my bereavement midwife if I could get an early scan and she said she wished it’s something they could offer but they only do when you’re experiencing pain or bleeding sadly

MummyV2021 · 02/07/2025 20:50

@BeastAngelMadwomanhello cycle triplet!! 🥳

Renee33 · 02/07/2025 20:51

👋 Hii @MummyV2021☺️. Scan in Two weeks, how exciting! Would you have to have an internal scan becuase it’s early? Where are you off to in your holiday? I was thinking about when the best time was to announce also now that my 4 year old told all his friends in Nursery and the key workers 😩. Think I will save it to 12 weeks.

I was using the FRER and Easy at home will definitely take a digital tommorow. @Ohwelldonehkad your nausea is not too bad, I’m not looking forward to that at all, my nausea is soooo bad but I’m hoping that 3 pregnancy will be different ☺️

Anyone else bloating so much that it looks like their 8 weeks preggers 😅 hoping it subside by morning becuase this is the first time I’ll be in the office since finding out.

Hi all!

I've been stalking this thread, worried to post because of a few concerns firstly regarding dates and a (too) strong positive (dye stealer at 7dpo!) and secondly due to some spotting and pain.

But the hospital have confirmed this morning all is well and I am 5 to 6 weeks, healthy pregnancy as it stands with a good heartbeat.

So I finally feel confident enough to join in. Star

That's so reassuring to hear you've seen a healthy pregnancy and heartbeat on the scan

I had some cramping and then one episode of bright red bleeding yesterday and panicked and have been referred to EPU, but they can't see me until Friday. The bleed turned to brown spotting and has now stopped, but the wait is so difficult. I've been frantically searching positive stories after cramping and bleeding.

Peanutbutterjelly123 · 02/07/2025 21:00

@MummyV2021 my scan is with the NHS as I need to go on blood thinners but they won’t prescribe until they have confirmed it is a viable pregnancy ☺️

@PBandJellySandwich i really hope it all works out for you xx

Bumblebee1984 · 02/07/2025 21:49

@PBandJellySandwichi hope all is ok. The waiting must be tough.

@Renee33I’ve had bloating this week too and definitely looked pretty pregnant 😂 oh no he told them all. My 2 year old is too young and I won’t be telling my 8 year old until after the 12 week scan.

@Ohwelldoneoh no sorry to hear the nausea has kicked in already. Glad it’s not too bad though

Hi congratulations to everyone on here. I would like to join too please. Am due on the 10th of March and had a positive on Friday a digital today 😊 this is my 4th but am a bit older this time as just turned 42. My other 3 dcs are 23,19,15. This is a planned pregnancy and has taken about 3 months of trying.

Also due on 10th March! According to my ovulation date. Will be interesting to see if and how our due dates change following scans etc or if we’ll stay the same 😊

Yes I’m with you on the bloating! Due to constipation which is Very unusual for me! Been taking fish oil tablets to try and help with that.

Have seeen some of you talking about early scans. Out closest one offers then from 7 weeks onwards so will probably get one there as soon as I can for reassurance.

Question to everybody as am curious - do you drink coffee and will you continue to do so throughout pregnancy? I’ve heard limiting to one cup of coffee per day is perfectly safe, and I’ve weaned myself down to just 1 in the months it took to conceive. Just curious what those of you who’ve already got kids did before and what you’ll be doing now?
I really need that cup of coffee in the morning to wake up haha 😅 and can only imagine when the pregnancy fatigue kicks in I’ll need it even more!! But may consider also buying so half caffeinated pods from nespresso, maybe for weekends/less intense days?

TheFutureIs · 03/07/2025 07:17

I’ve been having an espresso at home and a drip brew at work. I had similar last time too

OP posts:
Bumblebee1984 · 03/07/2025 07:44

@Scribblespreeomg yes always still had a cup of coffee with both pregnancies and same this time. Always have a cup first thing and also some tea during the day. I have just bought some decaf and half calf capsules though for if I want another. I fully expect my date of 4th March to be earlier as it was both times previously. Last time moved 2 days and time before was around 4/5 days earlier I think

Scribblespree · 03/07/2025 07:55

Thanks @TheFutureIs and @Bumblebee1984 for confirming, that’s reassuring. Interesting to hear about your dates changing - was that your due dates changing to an earlier sys or you giving birth earlier than your expected due date?
I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m later simply because if nhs calculate my dates based on the date of my last period, it suggest I’m further along that I actually am because I ovulated so much later last cycle which meant my cycle was actually longer than usual. That and because it’ll be my first, plus my mum was so crazy overdue with me (which I know technically is no bearing on my experience but has still influenced what I’ve come to expect for when it’s my turn).

TheFutureIs · 03/07/2025 08:00

Last pregnancy I was 11 days overdue based on NHS dates, but spot on for when I knew conception happened as we’d only dtd once that cycle 🤣
Wouldnt be able to be so certain this time round

Bumblebee1984 · 03/07/2025 08:07

I weren’t over both times @Scribblespree10 days over with my daughter and 8 days with my son. Although went into labour the day before with both. This time I’ll be going for an elective c section though so I’ll most likely end up having baby a little early as they generally don’t want you to go over

Sounds like could very well end up being me! My mum had the opposite experience, she had really short cycles (21 days) and knew when she’d conceived as they’d also only dtd (haha probably a bit strange I know all this but my parents are very open!), so they dated her based on a typical 4 week cycle and deemed her less further along that she was. In the end she was grateful for though. as she really didn’t want to be induced, and only narrowly avoided in the end by like a day, as officially she was approaching the 2 week overdue mark by like a day, but in actual fact she was nearly 3 weeks overdue!

Will be interesting to compare the emprevius experiences with an elective this time. I hope whatever’s made you go for elective means you have an even better experience this time round than before ♥️ I’ve heard anecdotally that elective c-sections usually seem to lead to a really good birth experience overall.

Peanutbutterjelly123 · 03/07/2025 08:18

I also drink coffee, try have just one a day occasionally 2. Switched to decaffeinated tea & don’t drink fizzy pop anyway.

I have no idea on dates, or when I ovulated.
i just know my test was negative Monday last week (I just felt pregnant) and then it was positive on Wednesday. So guessing I’ll be due around 7/8 March. Baby will be early though so will technically be a Feb baby I think xx

TheFutureIs · 03/07/2025 08:31

I also got my positive last Weds and I’m due 12 March according to last period

@Peanutbutterjelly123are you also going to have an elective section? I think I’ll also end up having an end Feb baby

Peanutbutterjelly123 · 03/07/2025 09:18

@Bumblebee1984 i don’t know. I think it will depend when they want to bring baby. If they let me go to near 38 weeks I’ll try induction but if it’s much earlier than that will just have an elective section as the chance of induction working is a lot lower xx

HennyPenny27 · 03/07/2025 10:13

Hallo Ladies 😊
Hope you don’t mind if I join?
Tested positive yesterday and today - nice strong lines and period due on Sunday (which hopefully won’t come). Have a Tommy’s calculated due date of mid March. All very exciting!
I’m about to turn 38, this will be first bubba 🥰
Currently researching next steps and fun books to buy, would love some recs.
DH and I are currently enjoying this lil secret!
Nice to meet you all x

I’m currently weighing up how to cut down on caffeine :/

I’ve gone the other way round, switched to decaf coffee so I can still have a cup or two of tea plus something cold and fizzy in the heat 🥵

Hitting the 5 week mark tomorrow and still basically symptomless, minus the occasional waves of nausea.

Congratulations @HennyPenny27! Good idea on the books, would love some recs too!

MummyV2021 · 03/07/2025 12:57

@HennyPenny27and @RiverThunderI read hypnobirthing - practical ways to make your birth better by Siobhan miller. The positive birth book by Milli Hill and the positive breastfeeding book by Amy Brown whilst pregnant with my first. Found them really good. I also did the positive birth company digital hypnobirthing course which I really enjoyed and found really informative. They also provide templates for birth plans and things like that too
