I have just had a positive result! Looks like I’m due early March 2026.
Second baby for me, eldest is 9 in September.

Thought it would be lovely to have somewhere to share our progress

@Emilyj13 exactly the same as me! I should be 7 weeks on Saturday when I’m going for my scan.

From what I’ve read they should be able to find a heartbeat. I was actually supposed to get the scan today, but pushed it back so it should be definitive either way.

Emilyj13 · 29/07/2025 10:08

@Ginnygi thank you. I have had 2 losses and 1 successful pregnancy but we were in hospital every other day from 25 weeks due to no movement so it was an anxious pregnancy. Almost put me off having another because the worry is so hard sometimes so I am driving myself crazy!!

Emilyj13 · 29/07/2025 10:12

@Mushroo will be exactly the same then. I will keep everything crossed for you. I get worried of scans too early as my first loss I went at 6 weeks and everything looked okay other than didn’t see visible heartbeat but could have been too early and then 7 weeks went again and I was miscarrying so I really wanted to wait until 7 1/2 weeks but I’m just too anxious and would rather know.

I totally get it. I waited until 8 weeks with my first because it felt more definitive either way, but I’m just too impatient!

Keeping fingers crossed for us both to get good news!

TheFutureIs · 29/07/2025 10:39

Seeing my parents today, but don’t want to say anything until after my scan on Friday. Bump/bloat is hard to disguise though 🤣

Can’t stop watching the video of my bean’s little heartbeat today. I’m just ignoring the fact I’m behind, it doesn’t exist to me 😂

Good luck to all those with upcoming scans.

@TheFutureIs my mum asked me if I’d eaten a big lunch on Sunday! Charming 😂 and my MIL the day before said my boobs looked big. They’re definitely picking up on signs. Wear something loose!

This happened to me too. The anxiety is huge and I spend most of the day trying not to cry, especially as my symptoms seem to have disappeared. Sending you positive thoughts and luck ❤️

MummyV2021 · 29/07/2025 11:17

Good luck to all with scans today! And sending positive vibes to anyone worrying. We all know that strengths of test lines, symptoms and everything else don't really indicate what's going on in there but it's so hard not to read too much into it. I had a good scan at 6+1 almost 2 weeks ago now, with the heartbeat there and measuring exactly my dates, 8 weeks today and symptoms are definitely giving me reassurance but in the back of my head I know something might already be wrong but my body not know it. Symptoms can come and go and not be there at all. From someone who had ZERO symptoms with her first pregnancy (and I mean zero, and also didn't show until I was about 23 weeks - thanks tilted uterus) and wouldn't have known I was pregnant unless I was trying (I totally get how people can have no idea now) then please don't worry if you don't have any/many symptoms or they're coming and going - your hormones are doing weird and wonderful things right now. Kinda wishing this pregnancy was the same right now... this nausea is RELENTLESS!

I also have really bad toothache, which the paracetamol is barely touching the sides of! Got a dentist appointment in an hour and hoping they can help! I suspect I need a filling, but slightly stressing about what is and isn't safe in first trimester! Anyone had any experience of tooth related issues early days? I think generally they can make adaptions to make sure the xray and numbing is safe but I think they tend to avoid first trimester if they can... but I cannot put up with this for another 4/5 weeks - it's torture!

MI55BumbleBea · 29/07/2025 11:51

Just had my early scan. Midwife sonographer seemed really pleased so I’m delighted too. I had my dates at 7 + 5 with due date on 13th March 26 but she said baby is measuring 8 weeks plus 0 days, due 10th March 2026. Heard the heart beat and it sounded like loud train!

Really hope everyone else having scans today gets good news.

LevelOneAgain · 29/07/2025 12:01

Congrats to all with good news from early scans!! Also got fingers crossed for those yet to happen. I've got my 12wk scan booked for 22nd August, a date we conveniently and by fluke have booked off already!

I'm so nauseous all the time it's horrible. I'm 8+2, bloated and feeling awful. I've got a full time desk job, with evening work on top and really not looking forward to it as that's when the nausea really ramps up. I've not been sick yet, but it would be awful for it to happen in front of colleagues. I'm also worried my thermal clothes won't fit due to the bloat. (I stand still, outside for 2.5-3 hours about 9-11pm for work.) Cannot tell you how much I'm dreading this evening, or from here to the middle of September to be honest.

CL05071998 · 29/07/2025 12:37

I've just got my first scan app, for 14th Aug when I will be 8 weeks. They wanted me in next week due to my prwvious miscarraiges but I am away. I'm actually happier to wait as hopefully they can see more then anyways.
Anyone else feel like they are showing, its prob just bloat and the increase in calories ive been consuming the last two weeks but my lower belly is certainly more rounded looking and I'm only 6 week

Casper94 · 29/07/2025 12:41

Just had my scan! All is looking good and saw the little heartbeat 🥰 I think I'm 7+3 but measuring 6+6 but I'm not reading too much into that as it's still early! Want one every week now 🤣❤️

PickleThePenguin · 29/07/2025 13:58

Back at work after finding out I'm pregnant and I'm finding it so difficult. I've had to tell two colleagues as I can't currently do my job properly so had had to explain why I was being weird. But at least they can help me out now. Probably will end telling the rest of the team if we get a good news scan as it's so much effort to hide it. But not planning to get one for another 2.5 weeks, which feels like ages.

Really anxious and emotional at the moment, just want to be at home. Also look so bloated, look like I'm fairly pregnant already!

Mushroo · 29/07/2025 14:01

@PickleThePenguin I’m struggling at work. I have a fairly easy desk job but I’m just so tired and finding it really hard to actually get started with what I need to do.

Casper94 · 29/07/2025 14:01

@worldwidetravel2017 they weren't concerned at all, said it's very common in the early weeks for dates to be out by a bit! I've got everything crossed for you for your scan ❤️

DobryWieczor · 29/07/2025 14:38

@Mushroo @PickleThePenguin also struggling on the work front! Also my boss knows but keeps putting me on the spot and telling people which is slightly mortifying. I’m so exhausted and just want to spend my time sleeping

LevelOneAgain · 29/07/2025 15:39

I'm secretly glad so many are also struggling at work and that it's not just me!! Thank you, although I wish we weren't. I wish this was so much easier... It really should be given how small the jelly beans are at this stage!!!

TheFutureIs · 29/07/2025 15:46

I’m so lucky, no work until Sept (well apart from results morning)

Bumblebee1984 · 29/07/2025 16:00

I’m also really struggling on the work front. Have done barely anything this afternoon. The nausea, feeling exhausted and to add to this feeling eye strain and headaches when using a screen means I just have no desire to do any work. And just cannot focus. Glad it’s not just me struggling

PickleThePenguin · 29/07/2025 16:40

I'm going to try and WFH a bit more, I think that will help as will mean I'm not having to worry about keeping up appearances.

I work in a food company so normally in a lab tasting and making things most the day, so it's quite hard to suddenly not be able to do that properly. I had to tell my colleague earlier after she was trying to get me to try an energy drink!! We also do a lot of work with alcohol so have got that to avoid too!

That is a very cool job @PickleThePenguin!
