I have just had a positive result! Looks like I’m due early March 2026.
Second baby for me, eldest is 9 in September.

Thought it would be lovely to have somewhere to share our progress

@Orangelover welcome 💕 I appreciate it must've not been easy when it's taken a while to conceive. How are you feeling??
@worldwidetravel2017 oh lovely news 💕

I'm well thank you. Was feeling pretty chilled up until last night when I had some rather intense cramping that unnerved me. Literally felt like AF was about to start and had to have a word with myself to calm down. No bleeding or spotting yet though. This is such a worrying time I wish we could fast forward a few weeks.

Other than that I've had sore boobs all week, and every morning I wake up and grab them to make sure they're still tender. No nausea yet but I don't feel quite right either? But we continue!

I wish I had a job where I could just "take it easy" but I'm a nurse and that just doesn't exist. I keep worrying about doing too much physically which is insane because I know that will realistically have no bearing on whether the outcome of this is good or not.

5+5 and still 2-3.. I know these things are the devil but 😣

I did one this morning too. 5+1 and 2-3. Was really hoping it would say 3+ by now! The 2-3 apparently has the biggest range, so it seems that's what people will get for the longest.. but it's really not reassuring when it's stayed the same for a week!

I literally daren't buy one because I know I'll be having a menty b over it....

mumtrovert · 17/07/2025 07:55

You’re still early @Baby26 plenty of time yet. I first tested at 4+6 and had 2-3. Almost a week too. I think if it’s not 3+ by Saturday at 6 weeks I might bite the bullet and book a private scan.. this whole thing from start to finish has been such limbo. My lines started out really faint when everyone else’s were pretty dark. So I just don’t feel like I can get excited yet.

@Orangelover yeah that’ll be me on Saturday if still no 3+ 😂😂 although I know these tests are apparently really inaccurate for some.

Mountainview8 · 17/07/2025 07:59

@LevelOneAgain flying isn't a problem, especially in the first trimester, as long as you're feeling well.

I've got my booking appointment at 9 weeks, I think they're stopped to be 8-10 weeks.

Everythingisokay · 17/07/2025 08:28

Had a terrible nightmare about a m/c last night 😬

Everythingisokay · 17/07/2025 08:30

@Baby26 I think it's normal?
Maybe depends where you are but where I am, they want you to be 9 weeks for the booking appointment.

Everythingisokay · 17/07/2025 08:32

@PickleThePenguin brown spotting will be from implantation.

I had three chemicals and no spotting with either so it's not always a sign, however, brown or pink ish blood is a sign for implantation.

FiveXthechaos · 17/07/2025 08:38

@PickleThePenguin brown spotting is normal, I'm on #5 and had brown spotting with all so don't worry, its fresh blood id be more concerned about x

Casper94 · 17/07/2025 08:41

@Orangelover also a nurse here so feel your pain! No rest at work for us 😅

@mumtrovert I did mine this morning as well and it was also 2-3 so I think we're okay ❤️ I'll do another at the weekend as well to see!

I've got myself in a bit of a panic this morning as I slipped and fell and smashed my stomach into the side of my kitchen counter 😭 gonna be worrying and overanalyzing everything today now.

mumtrovert · 17/07/2025 08:44

Ah that makes me a bit more reassured @Casper94 sorry if I’m freaking you out 😂
They’re well protected in there and usually lower pelvis so I’m sure everything is OK x

LevelOneAgain · 17/07/2025 08:53

Thanks, it's just I've got 3/4 trips so 6/8 flights before 20 weeks which seems a lot. I do try to think flight attendants must do far more and must be ok, but do they fly or are they like nurses, lab techs etc who tell work early & change roles early, I just don't know.

Oh, @Casper94they should still be down in your pelvis so they're very well protected especially so early on, try not to worry (I say as one worrier to another!). But maybe it's an excuse to sit down!

Everythingisokay · 17/07/2025 08:57

@Orangelover I think it's not bad to be busy at work to take your mind off things but also totally get wanting to take things easy.

When you're ready to tell your manager, they'll do a risk assessment and might make some adjustments to your role, e.g. give you a bit more desk time if you aren't feeling too well.

Hope work isn't too busy!

Everythingisokay · 17/07/2025 09:01

@LevelOneAgain you can consult with a midwife for reassurance but if it is a low risk pregnancy, they will be okay with you flying in the first trimester.

Peanutbutterjelly123 · 17/07/2025 09:01

I have had more than one nightmare about MC, it’s so awful and realistic.

Haven’t had my booking apt through yet, but expecting it anytime and imagine it will be sometime before the 9 week mark.

@Scribblespree i hope your doing okay today. I have had brown spotting this pregnancy on two occasions but a scan showed all okay for now.
However I did have it before my MC. Had consistent brown spotting for 5 days before I miscarried.
So can be normal and signs something is amiss. Hope all works out for you; and I hope this doesn’t scare you. Xxx

Everythingisokay · 17/07/2025 10:24

I think I'll be coming off Mumsnet and it's really affecting me, as crazy as it sounds.

I can't help but go over to other thread from time to time and I'm appealed with things I read!
Some people are so cruel, demeaning etc. it's like they come on here just to insult others to feel better about themselves?

This thread is, of course, very lovely and full of nice people 💓

Everythingisokay · 17/07/2025 10:41

Sorry, autocorrect changed multiple words and I can't edit now.

peanutForever · 17/07/2025 11:50

@Everythingisokayfair enough i dont really use mums net for any other threads and dont actually have fb anymore!

6 weeks on the dot today and symptoms have hit me like a ton of bricks 😫 feel so nauseous and tired

peanutForever · 17/07/2025 11:51

@mumtroverti was the same got 3+ at 5w2days but was panicking, with my son i got it at 5w5d i think!

mummymanic · 17/07/2025 11:56

I know I’m only 4+2 but im just really hoping for some symptoms soon. Something in me feels like I’ve made this pregnancy up 🥹

worldwidetravel2017 · 17/07/2025 12:34

Bleeding again here

Wish i didnt have a hematoma

Hopeloveandkindness · 17/07/2025 13:02

Hi all il join in this thread currently 5 weeks 4days and have my first scan on Tuesday 🤞🙏🏻✨

yayimallama · 17/07/2025 13:27

6 weeks today, been feeling pretty sick since the beginning of the week, last pregnancy I think I had mild HG, so feeling a bit anxious that this might be how I feel for the next 34 weeks.... on the plus side when I had a MMC I didnt have any nausea symptoms, so I guess feeling sick is a good sign

Hopeloveandkindness · 17/07/2025 14:14

I’ve had really light brown discharge this afternoon and mild cramps before this so I’m trying to to spiral. Felt very sick this morning and throughout the day esp if I let myself get hungry. However boobs seem to only be really sore on a morning then pain drops throughout the day 😩
