Hi
very random one. What’s everyone doing about clothes and pants?
I have some H&M maternity pants (underpants) in my usual size but suddenly feel very tight… any tips on how to get something which I won’t have to replace again before. I’ve had to buy a medium bra from H&M too whwn I’m usually a small. Gah shopping. x

I've just turned 40 so I have two growth scans booked too. Wow, yes 6'4", could well be a long baby! Is this your first? This one is mine and DHs first, so I'm finding these threads so helpful!

Snap! :-) I’ve also just turned 40 and this is our first. It’s very reassuring to hear everyone else’s stories and know I’m not the only one! :-)

Glad to hear she is doing ok. And exciting with the 4d scan. We are thinking of booking one too.

Same with the c section, weird to think she might be a January baby.

I'm alright thanks, I'm on iron tablets now. And I've had a heartbeat that I can feel in my neck sometimes when I lean back, which is a bit freaky, wondering if it's the low iron causing it.

Apart from that feeling ok, just massive 🤣

I've just gone with jogging bottoms with an elastic waist. I hate clothes shopping at the best of times as I'm 5ft so nothing ever fits anyway. So big waist means super long ridiculous leg length. Nightmare

Maybe get yourself measured for a bra, I thought I was a 34 d, turned out I was comfortable in a 36 G! And get some bigger underwear that's a bit baggy.

@BishopOakAntiques I've just had the GD test done on Monday and I have it 🙈 I'm also very slim (although my bump is huge) so was a big shock

If you have symptoms I'd be asking for the test asap and not waiting. After a positive result they bring you in to chat about it, give you your kit for pricking your finger and show you how to do it. I then had a scan later that day to check baby's growth. I have to go back 2 weeks later with my readings to see if I'm managing ok or need medication

Babies growth is fine

I cant have the test yet
Im on metformin for pcos

I have to come off metformin for 2weeks before the test

( cant do the test when on metformin )..

Doing the test when just over 26w

worldwidetravel2017 · 16/11/2025 18:50

I have pcos - - which is partly why I'm expecting to get diagnosed

Ahh ok that makes sense. Fingers crossed yours is negative

@Wrenseverywhere underwear wise I've sized up 2 or sizes in regular pants, I was wondering if id went too big until I tried them on and ...nope perfect fit. Just wear under my bump!

I did buy maternity tights from Boots because maternity jeans are a nightmare for me, cannot find a decent pair that's long enough with a decent band! So I'll be trying to brave this cold snap with some wooly dresses!

Pregnancy insomnia is still out to get me. Urgh.

Tofu35 · 24/11/2025 12:28

My moods are all over the place this week. 29 weeks but so far this week I've had a proper sobbing meltdown during my toddlers "dont want to wear a puddlesuit" tantrum, and had a rage at my husband for not getting the right storage containers in ikea.

Is anyone else on the hormone rollercoaster this week?

Mrs777 · 01/12/2025 17:30

Anyone had pink then brown spottin when wiping? Had this since Friday and triage said 3 times now monitor from home. I’ve had a horrific week, my dad suddenly passed away on Tuesday, and over the weekend I’ve caught sickness bug. It’s just been awful.

They should rule out thrush .

Maybe ask your midwife if you can drop in a,urine sample / have a speculum test

So sorry to hear re your dad
How far are you - gestation wise

Mrs777 · 01/12/2025 17:46

Thank you, I am 30 weeks. I called my own today and she said follow triage advise. Said the fact it’s now brown is a good sign.

How is everyone holding up with 3rd trimester aches and general energy? Iv started getting more and uncomfortable overnight no matter what position I sleep in. Also finding it harder being on my feet for lop long without just being sore then getting moody and snappy 😅 all I want to do all day is sit/lie/do yoga/nap and generally not have to rush around doing things!!

Yes I feel much the same lol. Think we're just at that stage now

Wrenseverywhere · 03/12/2025 00:41

Definitely feeling the same
way!

Hey, how is everyone getting on?
just wondering if anyone was unwell after the RSV vaccine. I’m feeling terrible today after having the vaccine yesterday, not sure if it’s a coincidence or not .

I felt a little offside, headache, cold symptoms and bones felt like they ached, just felt completely drained, but it didn’t last too long, hopefully the same for you🤞🏼

I have a growth scan on Friday and will get my RSV vaccination then so I hope I dont start feeling rubbish afterwards 🤞

Generally feeling more tired, achy and heavy now at 31.5 weeks I hope everyone else is doing alright!

littlebutton22 · 10/12/2025 17:23

I had my RSV yesterday and I feel absolutely fine, not even an achy arm. I am however suffering from sciatica down my left side. I’m fine when I’m sitting/lying down but walking is a total nightmare and paracetamol it’s touching it.

Eeebee14 · 11/12/2025 00:20

No side effects here from the RSV or flu jab. Had a very sore arm from the whooping cough as I had a tense arm. Learnt my lesson to relax the arm for further jabs, really stops the arm pain.

Tofu35 · 12/12/2025 05:40

This insomnia can get in the bin! Every night just randomly awake for a few hours, listening to my husband peacefully snore beside me ...
