Tentatively making this bus, as I don’t think there is one yet. Got the start of my BFP yesterday, and I can see the line developing today. Going to continue to test until AF is due. So far due 2nd Feb 😬 Anyone with me?

@Wednesdayonlineive noticed that I tend to feel certain symptoms at certain times of the day. Most nauseous in the morning and evening. Same for cramps.
sense of smell is much better than normal but I don’t think I really have any symptoms other than that.
Not got cravings per se - I think it’s more that because of the nausea I don’t fancy certain things and other things seem more appealing?

@Bas27 im glad it's not just me then! Keep panicking every time symptoms go down a bit and then feel silly when they come back 😂 really struggling with not being able to control the outcome of this pregnancy it's much more stressful than I thought it would be! Focused all my attention on just getting pregnant not then staying pregnant 😂

LavenderHaze04 · 27/05/2025 12:21

Hi all! Yes I am still testing every day - I just can't help it!! 😭 It does seem to be getting darker which is promising...
Honestly not really any symptoms for me! I had a few leading up to my BFP (feeling run down, extra moody), but nothing else really right now except I have officially missed my AF. First pregnancy so honestly no idea what I should b expecting, all reassurance welcome! Haha. I am 15dpo today 😊

Wednesdayonline · 27/05/2025 12:29

@LavenderHaze04 they look good! I tested 10dpo to 17dpo then forced myself to stop!

Wednesdayonline · 27/05/2025 12:30

I'm also ftm, how is the pregnancy dated? Is it first day of last period? I ovulate on day 16 instead of day 14 so don't know if that matters for dating?

LavenderHaze04 · 27/05/2025 12:35

@Wednesdayonlinethank you! I don't blame you for stopping, I think I will too this week! Yes from the first day of your last period, I think that's all you need for dating/weeks. Your average cycle length will impact your due date I believe, if you Google 'due date calculator' and put in that info it will will give you an estimate 😊

LavenderHaze04 · 27/05/2025 12:37

@Wednesdayonlineno I don't think when you ovulate matters, you're still in the what's considered 'normal range' 😊

Wednesdayonline · 27/05/2025 12:39

@LavenderHaze04 thank you! :) we are going on holiday for a week on the 7th June so I was going to have an early scan next week to check everything is in the right place for my peace of mind (terrified of it being ectopic and me needing surgery in Greece!). They only do an early scan from 6 weeks though so just wanted to be sure of dates. From my period I'm 5 weeks today so should be ok for next week 🤞

LavenderHaze04 · 27/05/2025 12:57

@Wednesdayonlineno problem at all, and an early scan, how exciting! And gosh you have just reminded me that we are travelling end of June! Are you in the UK if you don't mind me asking? If so is that early scan through the NHS? I have completed an online self-referral form for my local maternity services but still waiting to hear back from them so feeling a bit lost! I was told I don't need to get in touch with a GP x

Wednesdayonline · 27/05/2025 13:08

@LavenderHaze04 yes in the UK :) but the scan is through a private company. It's about £70 but I'm willing to pay it for peace of mind just to know I'll be okay on holiday. Obviously a loss could still happen while away but more likely to be a straightforward loss if I know the little bean is in the right place :) fingers crossed it'll all be fine!

LavenderHaze04 · 27/05/2025 13:10

@Wednesdayonlineahhh I see, I'll have to look into some services near me! Won't be hitting the 12 week mark end of June so I think I'll want to do the same before we travel x

BGxxx · 27/05/2025 14:30

I’ve booked my 5 week scan, just hoping and praying I see the sac in the correct place! I did my last tests last night, I’ve got loads left but it seems silly to keep doing them now

Beautiful tests @BGxxx !
When is your scan? Wishing you all the luck in the world 🍀

HannahTheBanana · 27/05/2025 16:22

Hey, I’d like to join please. Tested positive on Friday evening (the first cheapie), my cheapie lines are pretty faint but progressing, I think. I just tried FRER because that’s what I used with my two previous pregnancies. In 2019 I had a MMC followed by a healthy daughter born in 2020. I turned 39 in March and we have been trying for about 10 months… this month weirdly my OPKS didn’t detect the ovulation so I gave up and we ended up having sex twice… according to Flo I am 14DPO. I’m feeling pressure in my lower abdomen, some pulling (might be me just thinking about it too much),had a tiny bit of brown discharge when I wiped today (had the same with my last pregnancy), and I keep being very hungry.. and also having some sore boobs… I actually had an usual almost shooting pain in my left breast, I noticed that before I tested…
Due on 4th Feb!
maybe a personal question, but are you going to be sharing your news about pregnancy with your closest loved ones (apart from the partners) any time soon?
anyways… all the best to you ladies!!

Welcome @HannahTheBanana! Congratulations! It's our first pregnancy so we have no idea what to expect. In the same boat as you with cheapies slowly progressing and very minimal symptoms but things looking okay. No sign of any bleeding. We're thinking of telling our parents later this week, just because as it's our first time we really need to share this with someone and have some external support! If anything does go wrong we know they'll be there for us. Everyone else much later I think providing things go well!

Congratulations to you! It’s very exciting!
I decided with my partner to share the news with my parents and sister after 12 weeks scan but not sure if I can hold it that long. I speak to my mum every day… 😮‍💨

HellsBellsTrudy · 27/05/2025 16:36

Welcome @HannahTheBanana ! And congratulations!
We’re currently (hopefully) moving house so going to wait until that’s all sorted before we tell immediate family, we’ll defo need their support and would tell them if anything went wrong anyway, that’s my thinking!

@HellsBellsTrudy friday evening! We’re taking our toddler to soft play and then going there after, im
hoping she’ll be tired so she’ll sleep while I go in🤣🤣

Ive told my mum and dad, I told them with each of my pregnancy’s. We don’t tell any other family till after 12 weeks!

G0ldfinch · 27/05/2025 17:47

Hi everyone, joining this tentatively as I got a BFP recently but anything can happen! All being well I should be due 2nd Feb, same as you @Bas27 but my first was 5 weeks early so I don’t necessarily trust that. Congratulations all

Bas27 · 27/05/2025 19:24

Welcome @HannahTheBananaand @G0ldfinchI have already told key people at work for risk assessment reasons. Holding off (weirdly?) telling parents yet even though we live very close. 😬 I was so ill last time (2021) I scared my mum half to death. She’s a worrier so I want to hopefully be far enough along that she can see it’s not the same as before. With my daughter I had been hospitalised 5 times before 9 weeks and on one occasion carted off in an ambulance. If I can make it at least a few more weeks then I don’t think she’ll worry as much after that.is anyone interests in a Facebook group?
I'm thinking of making one. 😬

Wednesdayonline · 27/05/2025 20:35

I've told my best friend and my husband has told his. One person each for support! I've had the worst indigestion today, why are the symptoms so glamorous 😅

Butterflysunshine01 · 28/05/2025 07:54
