@MyGardenDaisies i can only imagine! You’re doing amazing though. And little one has been growing well to now, so that is really reassuring

LimeStork · 18/03/2025 12:42

Hi everyone - my EDD is 30th Sept/ 1st Oct, will be finding out at my first proper scan this Friday!
However, just wanted to ask on here how was everyone’s symptoms when they were 12w? This is my first so unsure how normal it is to feel “not pregnant”? Except headaches, all my awful nausea/ vomiting has stopped and tiredness has been going down a little too🤔

Welcome 😊
The nausea etc stopping at 12ish weeks definitely seems to be pretty normal. Mine's still quite bad but I was told that it's very common for symptoms to subside right about now (which inevitably leaves us in a state of anxiety!)

Hi all, hope you don’t mind me joining the thread. I’m just 15 weeks after a long time trying and then our hopes dashed with a miscarriage last autumn. Second time incredibly lucky though and now with a healthy pregnancy with EDD 8th September.

It’s been a rough pregnancy so far, relentless nausea and vomiting, dehydration and punishing fatigue. Hoping to see the improvements everyone tells me are just around the corner!

Having a private scan next weekend and hopefully will find out what we’re expecting.

MyGardenDaisies · 19/03/2025 11:39

Hello! 14+5 today

how’s everyone doing? Anyone found out the gender yet?

I am impatiently waiting for my scan next week, really hoping the haematoma is smaller now, it’s been a month of bleeding on and off! I’m absolutely drained from it.

Also want to see baby to just be reassured they are growing all fine. It’s been nearly 2 weeks since last scan and feels like forever

Cherry1703 · 19/03/2025 16:16

Hello ladies! Hope you're all well.. has anybody had their 16 week midwife appt yet? Mine's next week when I'll be 17+1 weeks but she said over the phone that they don't listen for the heartbeat anymore on this appointment 🥺
I needed the reassurance because my 20 week scan isn't until mid April! 😭

MyGardenDaisies · 19/03/2025 18:33

@Cherry1703 with my 1st I didn’t have Doppler at all.
So I have booked a private scan between the NHS 12 and 20 w scans for peace of mind

My 16 week appointment is next week too (when I'll also be 17 weeks!) and I've been banking on them listening to the heartbeat 😩 I'm a bag of nerves not knowing if everything is OK. Next scan not till late April 🧐

Cherry1703 · 19/03/2025 19:08

@MyGardenDaisies let us know how the scan goes 🥰 i had a private scan at 6 weeks and had a subchorionic hematoma but i'm assuming mine got absorbed as she said I may have a small bleed or it'll just get absorbed, so I can't imagine how worrying the on and off bleeding is for you.. hopefully you receive the news that it's getting smaller! Will you be finding out the gender of bubba? X

@PurpleTurtleMoose i'm hoping you get to hear the heartbeat ❤️
Midwife said to me over the phone, 'i'll be checking in with you, your blood pressure and baby's heartbeat - actually not the heartbeat as we don't listen to that until the next midwife appointment at 25 weeks' arghhh 🫠
What's your expected due date? X

sunshineandrain82 · 19/03/2025 19:10

My 16 week appointment is next week but my midwife did say she will listen to heart beat.

im high risk though so may make a difference.

I have a private scan booked for just under 2 weeks. To find out the gender. But that’s mostly for our son, as he needs the visuals.

Aw man, that's so annoying! I'm tempted to get a private scan but not sure I can justify the cost!

I'm due 1st September, you must be around then too? 😀

Cherry1703 · 19/03/2025 19:24

@sunshineandrain82 how old is your son who needs the visuals? I have a 7 year old non verbal autistic daughter who hates babies! She has only just started acknowledging her 3 year old brother (who has been a major trigger for her) and here I am pregnant again - total surprise! So I'm trying to mentally prepare myself for a tough few years again!

@PurpleTurtleMoose same!! I'd rather save that money and put it towards bubba's stuff as we got rid of everything after our last baby 3 years ago assuming he was our last 🤦🏻‍♀️

Cherry1703 · 19/03/2025 19:25

@PurpleTurtleMoose I'm due on 2nd September but I have a feeling baby will come at the end of August! Xx

sunshineandrain82 · 19/03/2025 19:28

He’s 8.
I’ve 4 children
girl 17 autistic
girl 11 autistic
boy 8 autistic adhd
girl 5 autistic global development delay she’s non verbal

my son when my youngest was born hated her. But now he’s her biggest protector. He’s high needs, needs a lot visuals, preparation, routine etc.

we wasn’t planning another with youngest being 5. Complete surprise as I had an implant in.

we also got rid of everything… though part of me couldn’t part with my beloved bugaboo fox. It’s boxed in my loft. So I’m glad there. But everything else is gone.

MyGardenDaisies · 19/03/2025 19:53

@Cherry1703 thank you x glad yours has absorbed!
Yes, will find out what we are having too

MrsH26 · 19/03/2025 20:20

I’ve had my dating scan and was moved a day ahead. NT was normal, thank fully, given my age (42) I was so worried. So nervously waiting, for what I expect will be a high risk, combined screening.
But the first hurdle with a normal NT has been passed, which was such a relief

Superscientist · 22/03/2025 14:08

Hey, I had my dating scan this week and got a due date of 28th September. I have been on the October thread as I didn't know my due date as I hadn't had a period after my last miscarriage but it looks like I conceived quite quickly after the loss.

This is my third pregnancy since June last year and I had a 4 year old too. I'm feeling a bit odd with pretty much no pregnancy symptoms. In all my previous pregnancies I had hyperemesis and fatigue resulting in sick leave. I found out I was pregnant the same day I lost my job this time maybe my body thinks I have enough to deal with without sickness and fatigue being thrown in!

MrsH26 · 22/03/2025 15:26

Welcome to the September board @Superscientist sounds like a stressful start for you. Wishing you a more settled second trimester!

Melusina123 · 22/03/2025 19:30

Welcome @Superscientist , congrats! Nice to see you here. ❤

InvisibleDragon · 23/03/2025 10:40

Can I also join this thread a bit late?

I had a MMC at 10 weeks in August, followed by another MC in December.

I'm now pregnant again with a due date in the middle of September.

Haven't felt like I wanted to join a pregnancy thread yet because everything felt so tentative and unreal. I kept thinking when I get to this stage, or that stage, I'll feel less anxious - but now coming to the realisation that I'm going to feel anxious and tentative all the way through and that that can be ok too.

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the start of the second trimester!

Welcome 😊 I totally relate to everything feeling so tentative: I'm pregnant after losses too and just can't bring myself to think that things could be ok this time. I thought I'd relax after the 12 week scan but that didn't happen. You're not alone in feeling like this 💕

Superscientist · 23/03/2025 11:57

@InvisibleDragon I'm exactly the same! Miscarriage in August at 10 weeks and my second miscarriage was in December also at 10 weeks and I'm now due at the end of September!

gtx1797h · 23/03/2025 12:56

Yes gender scan yesterday 16weeks what’s the gender does anyone want to take a guess?!

Due September 2025 part 2
Melusina123 · 23/03/2025 15:00

Welcome new joiners, as someone who has done pregnancy after loss, I can tell you that you may never not feel tentative about it, until BB is actually here. But acting like it's going to happen does actually help. ❤️

Superscientist · 23/03/2025 15:12

Thanks @Melusina123 I've been oddly relaxed this time around, slightly apprehensive as my symptoms are so much less than usual but less fretful than the last two pregnancies. Not finding out until I was over 7 weeks helped with the early week anxiety!
Oddly losing my job has put me into a place a zen! We are in the fortunate position that we can manage for a 12-18 months on my redundancy and my partners wage. I'm just enjoying life at a slower pace for now!
