@Lou98x I am, and it's disconcerting! I've had to move to maternity jeans and feel huge. Nobody's noticed though so I must just look like I've gained weight 😆

sunshineandrain82 · 08/04/2025 07:40

I’ve been wearing maternity jeans for a few weeks now. I usually size up slightly now but balloon around 32 weeks 🙈

I usually wear a baggy men’s jumper though so you can’t tell I’m pregnant

MrsH26 · 08/04/2025 08:37

I’m deffo just looking like I’ve just packed a bit of chub on 😂 🤣

I took poorly at work the other day and they admitted me onto the ward where I work. Pylonephritis. Ouch. Hoping they let me home today. I’ve been looked after very well, but my god. I hate being the patient!

ThatSnugSwan · 08/04/2025 11:03

I'm in maternity clothes since 12 weeks because my jeans wouldnt fit. 16 weeks now and look about 6 month's pregnant with a very round bump. Must be a 3rd baby thing

Hope you’re feeling better soon! Not what you need!

MrsH26 · 08/04/2025 19:01

@Lou98x thank you, miserable few days that’s for sure! But hopefully on the up now 🤞🏻

MyGardenDaisies · 08/04/2025 19:43

I’m also looking very pregnant, and it’s also not my first, so have definitely popped much sooner this time, even if I’ve gained less so far!

Superscientist · 08/04/2025 19:58

My bump his higher than I remember my daughters bump. I'm 15 weeks and still in jeans and depending on tops I either look quite pregnant or like I have a bad muffin top situation. I've switched to dresses as it's less obvious then

hotpotlover · 08/04/2025 19:58

I'm 15+1 weeks now and I look like I'm much further along.

It's my 4th baby.

Lou98x · 08/04/2025 20:44

Glad to hear we’re all on the same page then!

I’ve been struggling with what to wear in the heat these last few days, as I just feel frumpy! Hoping I look obviously pregnant by the time summer really hits and I can show off the bump.

Cherry1703 · 08/04/2025 20:59

I'm 19 weeks today and my bump looks like i've swallowed a whole watermelon! Everybody at work today kept asking if I'm expecting twins 🤦🏻‍♀️
I was on repeat saying there's definitely one bubba in there, however it's my 4th so maybe that's the reason why I'm looking around 6 months pregnant 🤷🏻‍♀️

Cherry1703 · 26/03/2025 15:28

@sunshineandrain82 I've just had my 16 week appt too.. mine was quite underwhelming! My community midwife was very cold! Unfortunately I'm stuck with her for the rest of my pregnancy - great 🙄
I'm glad you had a lovely experience and keep us updated once you find out the gender of the baby 🥰 xx

You're not stuck! Request another one if you're struggling with her.

how is everyone with feeling bubbles/flutters?

I’m feeling them mostly at night when I’m lay down. How about you? I’m 17 wks btw

OP posts:
MrsH26 · 10/04/2025 08:09

The occasional little pop/bubble, but not quite 16wks and nothing I’d definitely say is little one. Again mostly at night at laying on my right.

When they did a quick scan on the ward to check for an FH when I was poorly consultant did say I’ve got an anterior placenta, frustratingly. So as soon as it’s big enough to really move out the pelvis, I’m not holding out much hope for good movements!

InvisibleDragon · 10/04/2025 17:19

I've had some little bits of movement over the past few weeks - mostly little tiny scrabbles really low down in my pelvic region.

I thought it would be lovely to start getting movements, but it's so intermittent that it's actually making me quite anxious.

I had a scan at 15 weeks and the sonographer was fairly confident my placenta was anterior, which is disappointing - I had the same with DS and it was very difficult to notice any movement patterns because so much is just cushioned by the placenta.

Scarftown · 10/04/2025 19:19

I'm huge. There better be a healthy big baby in there. I popped really early but it's my third pregnancy. 20 week scan tomorrow. Very anxious about it (mmc at last 20 week scan) but feeling some little kicks this time so im cautiously optimistic

MyGardenDaisies · 10/04/2025 21:54

I had the same with anterior placenta but it’s much more obvious movements in 3rd trimester, like you’ll see your belly move.

this time luckily posterior placenta

Cherry1703 · 11/04/2025 21:29

Just wondering what's everyone's thoughts on the RSV vaccination? Will you mama's be getting it or not? My midwife said she'll be offering it at the 28 week check and the whooping cough vaccination on the 25 week check..
I can't believe i'm going to be 20 weeks pregnant next week, i've got my scan on Wednesday! Nervous and excited 😬 xx

Superscientist · 11/04/2025 22:20

@Cherry1703 I'll be getting both vaccines. Rsv is one of the main causes of newborns being admitted to hospital. I possibly had whooping cough last month and it was awful, coughing repeatedly to the point of vomiting, coughed one night continuously for nearly 3h before finally falling asleep. I think I managed an hour before waking up coughing.

Me too. I was listening on Radio 4 from a paediatric doctor about the huge uptick in admissions because uptake for the vaccines is so low.

I haven't felt anything yet. 17w5. I can't wait to feel something for reassurance.

Superscientist · 15/04/2025 16:22

I think I may have felt a few movements but hard to determine whether it's baby or digestion....I thought I'd notice it more with it being my second but it's been 5 years and I can't remember what it was like last time!

hotpotlover · 15/04/2025 17:14

I feel movement every other day.

But if I feel movement then it only happens 1 to 3 times a day.

This morning I felt something that felt like a tiny kick. Nothing since.

MyGardenDaisies · 16/04/2025 07:24

@hotpotlover same! But they are still so little in weight that it’s normal
