@hotpotlover welcome! 🙂

MediterraneanHouse · 31/03/2025 16:10

Had my scan today am 14 weeks pregnant - baby’s due same week as my 30th birthday celebrations but a few weeks before my daughter turns 8 so really looking forward to Autumn 😊

MyGardenDaisies · 01/04/2025 07:44

Morning! 16+4, so close to the half way point already!
with a planned C section, suppose I will have baby at 39 weeks, so even closer!

How is everyone doing? ☺️
I’ve been buzzing since we found out
the gender, agreed on a name, I’ve sorted out baby clothes, planning things for nursery updates. 🥰

Cherry1703 · 01/04/2025 08:01

@MyGardenDaisies i'm 18 weeks today and after having an appt with the consultant yesterday, she's booked me in for a scan today due to my first being a c-section, just to check scarring tissue etc so I'm hoping to get a glance of baby too!!! I've had 2 successful VBAC's after, however, it's just something that the hospital offer, so I'll definitely be trying to look between the legs, although I never ever know what I'm looking for and we always opt for our babies being surprises and to find out at birth!
Just read you're expecting a boy 🩵 so exciting! Xx

PurpleTurtleMoose · 01/04/2025 08:20

@MyGardenDaisies
I just found out the gender too, which feels very surreal! My husband didn't want to know though so I'm having to avoid pronouns!! We've not started talking names yet but I'm making an internal list. Did you and your partner reach an agreement quite easily?

It's definitely feeling a bit real now: I'm noticeably bigger so considering telling family soon 😬

MrsH26 · 01/04/2025 19:19

14+3 here
nowhere near names yet, but we’re not finding out either, so loads of time!
been a few little outfits here and there though, but not quite relaxed into it yet. Still feels a bit surreal

sunshineandrain82 · 01/04/2025 19:26

I hate trying to come up with names. Every name I suggest my oh has to think he’s funny. Ie I’d suggest Freddie he would answer with Mercury.. you get the drift.

the only thing we agree on is our children all have Star Wars themed middle names.

I’ve been busy shopping this week. Starting to purchase all the big stuff we need to replace. We will get the pram down from loft next week so will know then if I need to replace. Hoping/praying it’s not damaged as it’s been stored in a container for a year before going into the loft.

Lou98x · 01/04/2025 20:09

15 and a bit weeks here and absolutely not started thinking about names, nursery, clothes, or getting anything out of the loft!

Toddler takes up far too much of my time and brain capacity at the minute! Don’t think it’s even hit me we’re having another child yet…

DS didn’t have a name until he was born, so should probably get on that soon! Hoping it’ll be easier once we find out the gender at 20 weeks (resisting the urge to get an early gender scan! £££!)

We are only searching for it because it was the first thing that went in when we moved in last year. So it’s buried at the back… right at the back to get to it the entire loft has to be emptied.

as it turns out 2 of our 4 children are not here next week which means I have 2 free bedrooms. And oh is home for the week. So he can empty the entire loft into the bedrooms. Not sure we will get another opportunity like this anytime soon so makes sense to empty then.

Lou98x · 01/04/2025 20:23

@sunshineandrain82 perfect opportunity for you to get things sorted then! I don’t blame you!

I’ll more than likely make it all a last minute job and be panicking at 36 weeks pregnant!😂

sunshineandrain82 · 01/04/2025 20:33

I don’t know what we was thinking putting that at the very back 😢 oh we didn’t plan to have a 5th.

i know there’s furniture in the middle. Plus god knows what else. The loft is full. I live with hoarders. So it’s going to take a bit to even get it partially emptied.

I’ve picked up a few things this week. I got a great deal on a maxi cosi seat and base from my local baby shop that’s closing down. Over 50% off. I’ve been price watching and definitely got it at a bargain. But mostly been concentrating on saving to be fair.

im quite relieved this baby is summer time. Our other children are November to February (1 a month) so gives us a bit of a break at least

sunshineandrain82 · 01/04/2025 20:36

I definitely can’t be panicking at 36 weeks.

my last baby my pram broke 2 days before she was due.. luckily she was 2 days late and I had a 2 day stay. as it took 7 days to get a new one delivered and that was the store chasing it and personally delivering it to us. I just remember the stress and worry about getting it in time for needing it.

MyGardenDaisies · 01/04/2025 20:49

We had boy name picket before we knew the gender of our first, and luckily the baby feels like that’s them :)

hotpotlover · 01/04/2025 21:02

Anyone feeling flutters yet?

I've felt flutters for a couple of days, then yesterday hardly anything and today nothing....I'm 14 + 1 days.

I know it's still really early, but I'm still worried xxx

It's such a worrying time, isn't it?

Is this your first pregnancy and do you have an anterior placenta ?

These two factors would make it more difficult to detect movement.

Don't worry, everything will be fine xxx

Thank you 🥰 Posterior placenta but it is my first baby so hopefully that's it. Xx

Hi again all!
@InvisibleDragon - congratulations! It's a lovely sound isn't it.

We paid for an early gender scan today (16W tomorrow) and found out we're having a girl 💜

Makes it all seem so much more real.

Hello mamas!

I had an anterior placenta with first and felt baby first only around 21 weeks.

this time it’s posterior placenta and I’ve felt flutters from 16w- it’s so cute!!🥰

17w today, bump is looking so big!! Definitely popped much quicker with 2nd than first!

I just look like I’ve packed a bit of weight on so far 😂
I’ve felt a few very light ‘pops’ but very sporadic and not confident enough to say it’s baby

sunshineandrain82 · 04/04/2025 19:23

Hello not long back from gender scan. Wellbeing check completed and all is looking good.
we are expecting our second boy.
so I now have one happy boy and one tearful girl. Older girls were not that bothered either way.

Lou98x · 08/04/2025 06:35

Anyone else starting to look a bit pregnant?! I’m 16 weeks now, but not sure I’m looking pregnant or a bit fat🤣🤣 didn’t show until way later with first so this is odd to me!
