That's really good advice Charlotte121 actually. I'll try and remember my body was designed for this.

Am trying to relax and seding DP off on missions to look after me.

sounds good. Im nesting at the moment... cant stop cleaning but im going to take advantage of it... Im normally not this bothered about housework so might as well get on with it. Have decided to treat myself to a dvd tonight if i get it all done and if ds goes down to sleep ok.
You'll love being a mummy... its the best thing in the world... just savour every moment bcoz it does go so quickly. There are so many moments that will make you smile and bring you to tears because their magical. Its hard work but totally worth every moment!!!

good luck @newishbad for tomorrow (today now)...

it's 5.45 and i've been up since 3am reading mumsnet. i've basically given up on sleep - am not even trying really as my boyfriend has to get up really early for work and i'll keep him awake with my fidgeting / trips to the bathroom. due on wednesday but no BH or anything really. sigh. sick and tired of feeling sick and tired!

ampster · 26/05/2008 04:49

newbishad · 26/05/2008 07:31

I was 5 days early with ds... so heres to hoping this one will pop out soon (which would be today) however im under strict instructions from my mum that i have to have the baby on friday to avoid her having too much time off from work. 10 days left and counting!! I really can't imagine how this LO is gonna come out... She seems pretty comfy in there! Aaah well I have an appointment tomorrow AM so hopefully they'll tell me she's engaged! I should be so lucky!

I hope everything went OK Newbishad. Anyone else getting twinges? I haven't had a single Braxton Hick yet xx

vicsta · 28/05/2008 11:02

Hello all. Me & bump still here, 5 days & counting. Starting to feel a bit of discomfort with the BH now, bit period painy, but nothing that painful or regular. I'm feeling a bit fed up, doing very little but am soooo tired coz I can't sleep. I am feeling strangely jealous of all you nesters, have no instinct to clean at all, tho God knows the house could do with it. Have had supreme instinct to make cakes though, yum! Am putting my lack of sleep to good use tomorrow by driving DP to the airport at 5am as he has to go away to work. He'll be back Friday, so not too bad. But, you can never trust Sods law can you! Keeping everything crossed till friday night. Hoping you are all well and we'll have some announcements soon. Best not be from me though!

Becky77 · 28/05/2008 12:46

My partner has an assessment next Wednesday so am holding out until then... We'll be going out for a hot curry straight afterwards to celebrate and I've booked an acupuncture session for the following morning! I'm already on the raspberry leaf capsules... I can't wait to get the birth out of the way and meet our chubby little bundle

Didylicious · 28/05/2008 13:07

I'm 39 weeks - due 1st week in June....
I'm tired and grumpy!

I'm absolutely huge this time around (4th baby) 53" waist now!!!

Also the baby isn't head down yet - so I'm off for a scan tomorrow to see what's to be done - baby has been in "an unstable lie" for a few weeks now - meaning he's still summersaulting and not stuck head down. (my womb is obviously quite roomy having been used a few times before!)

I'm so preoccupied with how or when this baby is coming out - it's hard to concentrate on anything else - have packed my hospital bag several times already.

I'm drinking the raspberry leaf tea - it's quite nice and gives more BH's for sure.

Hi all,

Emily Miriam was born at 2.53am Tuesday 27th May weighing 8lbs 7oz.

I am exhausted. She is doing well and feeding non stop.

Lots of love,

gingerwench · 31/05/2008 11:43

Congratulations Newbishad!

Becky77 · 31/05/2008 18:16

Congratulations! Hope you're both well... How was the labour?

shabster · 31/05/2008 18:22

My DS's partner is due on the 10th June with my FIRST granbaby!! She says she has now officially had enough

mum2bx3 · 01/06/2008 10:30

Hi all.

I know this should be in a different place really but thought would add here.

Monday 26th May at 14.26 Harry Benjamin arrived weighing 9lb. 4 hours in labour with just gas and air makes my eyes water just remembering it but very proud at the same time.

All is good, he's feeding every 3 hours ish and sleeping in between!

Swnding lots of good luck and positive vibes to those left to pop.

mum2bx3 · 01/06/2008 10:31

Swnding = sending DOH!!

vicsta · 02/06/2008 17:27

EDD tomorrow. Bump still here. Sulking. Sleep impossible now, keep waking up with really sore hip/back area. Bit of a problem if i need the loo as I am completely frozen for a bit! Feeling a bit of pressure when I walk now, but not really sure if bump has dropped at all. Don't know how things are as MW had to cancel appointment on Saturday due to some selfish very lucky lady going into labour. Won't see her till Thurs now when she will do a sweep. Hopefully that will get things moving as I am thoroughly fed up now. Hope you're all feeling better than me

Orissiah · 03/06/2008 11:46

Hi, My EDD is finally here today but though baby is fully engaged am feeling nothing - no twinges or pain and am actually feeling rather energetic if bored and impatient. Will see MW tomorrow. I want her to check baby and also cervix to see if anything is actually happening. If not I will have to assess my options. xx O (40 weeks today!)

Becky77 · 04/06/2008 09:34

3 days until my due date and not a twinge! Anyone else not felt any Braxton Hicks?

gingerwench · 04/06/2008 10:34

I'm 40+5 no real signs of action despite the same BH tightenings every so often that I've had for a couple of weeks now. V Bored and will ask for a sweep when I see the midwife in 2 days.

vicsta · 04/06/2008 14:45

Still fecking here! Can't wait for MW appt tomorrow. I got no sleep at all last night, my hips are just sooooooo painful, I can't lie down. Becky, I really didn't feel any BH till very recently, though I could see my bump tightening & softening. Now a little bit period painy, but nothing worse. I have been feeling a bit of pressure today, at what I imagine is top of cervix, enough to stop me in my tracks once or twice. But no real signs of movement and no pain. hopefully will be favourable for a sweep tomorrow. I just want to be able to lie down again! Hope you are all well, if a bit bored and fed up

Becky77 · 05/06/2008 11:25

@ Vicsta - I so know what you mean... I can't wait to sleep on my front again or be able to lie on my back! My hips are really painful too... bed time is no fun

I'll keep an eye out for my bump tightening... But not sure how I can differentiate between that and baby stretching.

I think I felt a BH in the night last night though... So I guess that's progress!

How many days over are you?

newbishad · 05/06/2008 11:54

Hi all,

Congratulations to Mum2bex3. Enjoy! I am envious of your labour. Mine was complicated at the end. I needed a ventouse and then I got an infection in the wound and I have been in hospital with high fever and pain in the area for the last 3 days. Think I am on the mend now.

Hope the rest of you don't have long to wait! It's great to be the other side of labour.

Lots of love,

NS XXXX
