Hey!

I am 4 weeks 6 days today and wondering if anyone out there is of similar gestation or has similar due date to me! Feeling quite lonely in this pregnancy (last pregnancy my best friend was pregnant at the same time so we always had each other!) and just wondered if there was anyone else feeling the same and wanted to share experiences 😊

I’ve had mild symptoms come and go and got my dye stealer on cheapie yesterday at 21dpo 💖

Been panicking about miscarriage as I’m sure lots of people do, but feeling a little better since I got my dye stealer.

fingers crossed for a healthy 9 months ❤️

@Duckwars thanks. I'm being seen on Wednesday.

CadoAvo · 26/11/2024 11:43

Had my EPU scan today. LMP puts me at 8+0, baby is measuring 7+6, looking good with a wee heartbeat 💓 🥰

This is my third pregnancy and first time seeing a heartbeat so I'm super happy 🥰

Duckwars · 25/11/2024 21:00

@Babydreamer123 your uterus is expanding to its quite common to get period type cramps. If you're getting any type of blood, it's always best to get it checked at your nearest EPU.

@mummasoph tell them when you're ready but it's good you have atleast his side to speak to if you need to. Hahaha you'll just have to hide the bank card so he can't! We've always waited until I've given birth and my husband tells me what we have but when we had ds, instead of we've got a boy, it was IVE GOT A BOY 😂
Do you not have a date for your first scan? Be good if it was Christmas eve be very special for you both.

Yeah it's not so much there has been any fall out it's just a change in dynamic and people no longer being here so I almost feel guilty in being pregnant which is making it difficult for me to make the announcement but I'll have to tell them all at some point 😂 hahaha that's exactly what my partner would be like if we had a boy, it would be his boy not ours 😂😂

No scan booked yet they usually book it once you've had the midwife appointment so I guess next Tuesday when I have my appt they'll book me in I'm hoping for before Xmas rather than after as it will be nice to just know all is ok before 🥰 have you got your scan booked in yet?

Glad all went well with your scan 😊 this is my third too! What are your age gaps? X

Thank you 😊 sorry, I mean my first 2 ended in mc before we even got to see a heartbeat. So this is my first baby 🥰

The woman who did my scan said that as I will be 12w on Christmas day then my scan will likely be 30th/31st Dec so think ill book on for a private scan before Christmas to make sure everything is okay before we tell family on Christmas day 😀

Duckwars · 26/11/2024 16:27

@Babydreamer123 hope everything goes well tomorrow.

@CadoAvo aww that's lovely you got to see the heartbeat.

@mummasoph ah OK, can understand that. Where I am, as soon as you find out your pregnant you call the midwife and get your booking in appointment along with your scan date so mines is hogmanay. Got private one booked for Friday though so just a few more days.

RozzieRoo · 27/11/2024 10:51

@CadoAvo massive congratulations on your scan ❤️❤️❤️ so happy for you!!

@Babydreamer123 i hope everything goes well for you today ❤️

@Duckwars @mummasoph i would love to find out at the birth! But husband is too impatient 😂 I think that’s the only thing he really gets the chance to have a say in so I chose to find out again this time (although it’s potentially my last baby and I’ve never had the surprise, I’d love it, jealous 😂)

hey girls, sorry for being a bit quiet, been feeling shattered and not sure if I’ve got a bug or not but full on vomiting today 😭 sorry if TMI. my scan went well, they dated me ahead of my LMP? So I’d be 8+5 according to them today. I did ovulate early but doesn’t make sense 🙈 but it’s a good thing! Baby’s hear thumping away and all good, I’m just a pile of rubbish. Feel so tired Xx

@CadoAvo aww I'm so sorry I just assumed third pregnancy meant third child - I shouldn't have been so presumptuous, I'm sorry. So glad you heard the heartbeat and everything is well 🤍

@Duckwars I hope all goes well with your scan on Friday and you get a good picture 🥰

@RozzieRoo i 100% believe my partner will cave and demand a private scan at 16 weeks to find out so not sure I'll get the surprise either 😂 sorry to hear you've not been well but amazing news about the scan. It's so reassuring seeing/hearing the heartbeat isn't it. Hope you feel better soon, my nausea has completely eased off lately and finally getting over my illnesses so starting to feel a little more me again now, back to work on Friday after being signed off for 2 weeks.

sellingupslow · 27/11/2024 13:43

Hi everyone!

Hope it's ok to join 😊

I'm 6+5 today, saw a heartbeat at 6+1! I have another scan on Monday 2nd with the EPU, feeling really anxious and hoping everything is fine!

Due July 18, I have a little girl already who will be 5 on June 14 🥹

Eirlys75 · 27/11/2024 14:16

Hello everyone,

It's so, so lovely to see so many positive stories on here. It's actually helped me process everything.

Unfortunately today they confirmed the miscarriage, which we were expecting. I've decided to take the medication, which has already started working. I noticed blood in my underwear just as I was going to the loo before my transvaginal exam today. So my body is also processing it before the meds. That's good to know.

I just thought that I'd pop on here to let you all know the outcome of it all. I had a couple of sessions with clients this morning before and after the scan, naively thinking that I'd be okay. But I've now decided to take the rest of the week off and hopefully start work on Monday.

All the best for every one of you. I'm keeping everything crossed for those who are still waiting on scans! Xx

RozzieRoo · 27/11/2024 19:45

@mummasoph glad you’re feeling better lovely, being pregnant AND ill is the worst!! I’m feeling so sorry for myself today. lol it’s so tempting I’ll admit!! Although I did hear someone local to me got told she was having a girl so bought everythingggg for a girl to later find out on a growth scan she’s having a boy 🙈😂 can you imagine. She was trying to flog all the pink stuff 😂

Hey @sellingupslow welcome and congratulations!! 🥳 👶🏼🍼 lots of positive energy to you, I’m sure everything will be okay ❤️ how are you finding looking after your DD and being pregnant? My little girl is 2 and I’m really struggling!

@Eirlys75 I am so sorry to hear my lovely, all the best for the future. I hope we see you back here very soon ❤️

This may be TMI (really sorry) but have any of you other ladies experienced the complete opposite of constipation 🙈😳 9 weeks today apparently, one day I’ll be rushing to the loo, the next I can’t go, and then the following day I’m back to it again - full on stomach cramps and running to the loo.

I just wondered if this is pregnancy hormone related as I don’t remember getting an upset stomach this bad with my other two babes. 🫣

Yes this is me in the mornings 😂 Been like it since a couple days before testing positive. I googled it and I think it has to do with the progesterone being a relaxant. I hope it stops soon! I’m only 5+2.

Countrygirl300 · 29/11/2024 21:31

@RozzieRoo you are not alone!! I’ve definitely not had constipation, especially first thing in the morning!!! Our hormones do wild things to our bodies!

Duckwars · 29/11/2024 21:40

Lovely to see people's scans are going well. Hopefully all your symptoms aren't too bad, mines are through the roof haha.

Had private scan today and there is definitely a baby in there with a fast heartbeat! They have put me at 8 weeks so due date is now 11th, only 2 days difference from lmp.

mummasoph · 30/11/2024 07:45

@RozzieRoo yep one day I wake up and can't go and it's like that for a few days then I'm waking up and it's just constant and like that for a few days and the cycle repeats there is no in between 😂

@Duckwars aww I was the opposite to you, I was due 11th according to LMP and then when I went for my scan they dated me 2 days further along. I'll be 9 weeks on Tuesday and assume that would bring my due date to the 9th July.

I don't know what others situations are but I'm all of the sudden getting really panicky about another even though we so badly wanted this I'm just a little scared I suppose about starting over again. My 2 daughters are 15 months apart one of them just turned 5 and the other will turn 4 in January. X

Duckwars · 01/12/2024 03:32

@mummasoph I booked a holiday the week before bfp which lands right in the middle of due date 😂 I'm planning home birth so definitely need to change it. Were your two children born anywhere near their due dates? My dd was a week early and ds was a week late.

My oldest just turned 10 and my youngest will be 9 in March but I always wanted one more but both kids have a mental age of roughly 5 and one of their issues is they don't sleep more than 4 hours. Recently I felt in a better place to go for the 3rd but now I'm pregnant I have those feelings too. I'm sure others are also. Once baby is here you'll get into a routine that works for you and it will turn out absolutely fine x

Omg I'm so glad I'm not the only one, that was going to be my next question. We booked a holiday in September for end of may im going to be heavily pregnant and not in the mood for being hot and getting into a bikini 😂 so we're changing ours but not sure when to maybe end of September. Has anyone travelled with a baby this young before? I'm really stuck with what to do. Yes so my first I was induced a week early but took me 4 days to have her, it was absolutely awful!!! Then my second came the day before my due date that was like a dream labour started contractions at midnight and had her at 04:46, 20 mins after arriving at the hospital 😂

Aww bless, sleeping no more thank 4 hours is tough for both you and them! Yes I'm sure it's a very natural feeling, I don't remember feeling it when I got pregnant with my second wondering how I'd manage with two but for some reason I am this time from two to three. Maybe because my girls seem to be going through a phase atm where I feel like I've lost full control and they don't listen to a damn thing I say 😂 like you say I'm sure it will fade away once the baby is here and you just get used to your new normal don't you. X

Countrygirl300 · 03/12/2024 11:16

Has anyone else experienced nausea disappearing?

I haven’t had bad nausea at all (thankfully) but it’s definitely been there mainly in the morning but the last 2 days I’ve felt loads better!! I’m 8w3d ish.

Is that normal? I also don’t feel as crampy as I was!

Duckwars · 03/12/2024 16:44

@mummasoph I'm assuming you've booked abroad? Just remember you'll need passport for baby and summer time there is always a long wait so just bear that in mind. Fingers crossed for you that this one is another dream labour.

There's a good possibility it's due to that, kids love to act up and stress you out 😂 x

@Countrygirl300 symptoms can come and go so try not to worry too much. My sickness was really bad at the start, it calmed down for a few days and then came back with a vengeance. I got in touch with Dr yesterday for anti sickness tablets (didnt pick them up until today) and this morning I woke up feeling fine.

So had my booking in appointment today and got my folic tablets which are a lot better than the ones I've been taken (they are huge) but I was also given iron tablets and told it was what they do now, give everyone them as a precaution. Was also told I will be given 2 extra scans at 30 weeks and 32 weeks. Can't remember the reason why as I was too busy worrying about my bloods being taken (absolutely dread getting those done). Apart from that just the usual information and will see her again end of January as long as all keeps going well 🤞

Hope everyone is doing OK and for those with scans coming up I wish you all the best ❤️

RozzieRoo · 03/12/2024 18:55

@mummasoph @Duckwars im so glad you’re both saying the same things as I’m thinking!! I have had a few ‘aahhh!!’ Moments when I think about having an additional babe but like you both say we just to the new normal ❤️ I have a couple of friends who have had 6 kids! And they both say transition from 1 to 2 was the hardest and then extras don’t make much difference after that 😂

@Countrygirl300 yes my symptoms definitely come and go in severity ❤️ but I’ll always be fatigued or something. I threw up the other day and thankfully haven’t since. Apparently the placenta takes over between 8-12 weeks ❤️

I’m feeling so guilty that I can’t be as present for my toddler at the moment 😭 is anyone else feeling similar as I feel like the worst mum ever, haven’t taken her out properly because I’ve felt so rubbish.

mummasoph · 03/12/2024 19:07

@Duckwars yeah to Mallorca we were all so excited but it doesn't feel realistic. Ahh yes that's true I didn't even think about the passport I thought a baby would just go on the mums passport 😂😂

@Countrygirl300 yes exactly the same happened with me at the exact same time I felt sick all day every day then it just stopped. I got so anxious but have been so bloody tired still I'm like everything must be fine. My acne breakouts have calmed down and I feel like I'm not peeing as much but I'm definitely still exhausted and I've had no other symptoms of anything being wrong so my midwife said pregnancy symptoms stopping just on their own isn't usually cause for concern but if you have tummy pains or bleeding along side the loss of symptoms then they'd ask you to go to EPU.

@RozzieRoo were speaking your language 😂 it's so hard! I don't know how people have so many kids I really don't, I truly think I'll feel done after this one but who knows 😂😂 I'm also feeling super guilty I feel so short fused atm when we all get back from school nursery and work because I'm so wiped and so much needs to get done but in reality they won't remember and the guilt is something we'll always carry as mums but try not to be too hard on yourself. Just do what you can on the days you feel better 😊

I had my booking appointment today, I'm classed as high risk, under midwife, consultant and obstetrician care 😩 found out my first scan is on Christmas Eve morning 🎄 can't wait I was hoping for a Christmas Eve one so very happy with that 😊😊 xx

RozzieRoo · 04/12/2024 13:02

@mummasoph You’re so right, I try but it’s so hard. Feel sorry for her being stuck indoors but I’m literally paralysed to the sofa today so not much choice.

Ahhh how lovely!🥰 what a lovely Christmas present. Ours is 30th December, so we got a private scan booked on 17th (my husbands birthday) so we can announce at Christmas 🥰 I’ve seen the little bubba on EPU scans but it will be the first time he’s seen them 🥰 so I will have had a total of 4 scans by the end of the first trimester 🙈😂 and I have to have extra growth scans at 32, 36 and 38 weeks!

oh dear, high risk means lots of appointments I bet 🙈😂, I hope everything is okay?

Thankfully, I’ve got a pretty straight forward pregnancy this time fingers crossed, other than IV antibiotics for group B strep in labour, I should be able to have another VBAC, this time in the pool 🤞🏻 never been able to have a pool birth and always wanted one, third time lucky 🤞🏻

Aww how come you have to have the growth scans? If you don't mind me asking 😊 I have had a biopsy on my cervix and then a blood clot many years ago as well as my dad having a blood clotting disorder which is genetic so I had to be on clexane for my last pregnancy and probably will again this time. The biopsy apparently puts you at increased risk throughout pregnancy too and puts you at risk of pre term labour so yes that's why I'm high risk apparently. I suppose it just means they'll keep a closer eye on me which isn't a bad thing, but yes lots of appointments.

I have always wanted a pool birth, I couldn't with my first and then my second came so fast I didn't get the chance 😂 so I'm hoping this time I might get one too 🤞🏽

Hope your sickness has settled a bit now, I had a good day yesterday but struggling again today 😩
