Hey!

I am 4 weeks 6 days today and wondering if anyone out there is of similar gestation or has similar due date to me! Feeling quite lonely in this pregnancy (last pregnancy my best friend was pregnant at the same time so we always had each other!) and just wondered if there was anyone else feeling the same and wanted to share experiences 😊

I’ve had mild symptoms come and go and got my dye stealer on cheapie yesterday at 21dpo 💖

Been panicking about miscarriage as I’m sure lots of people do, but feeling a little better since I got my dye stealer.

fingers crossed for a healthy 9 months ❤️

I hope you’re all feeling okay today.
I’ve had some nausea and I’m feeling really emotional, my DD has recently started nursery because I’ve gone back to work and she cried going in this morning which then meant I spent most of my day trying not to cry😂.

@RozzieRoo that’s interesting, do you have any inkling of what you might be having this time around? I’m convinced I’m having another little girl.

@CadoAvo I hope you and your pup are feeling better now💖.

@Eirlys75 love your username! It was a name I considered for DD. Good luck with your scan, such an exciting and nerve wracking time.

@mummasoph congratulations! I’m one of 3 and absolutely loved it growing up!.

Eirlys75 · 12/11/2024 06:49

@CadoAvo @RozzieRoo yes I feel that I should be grateful that I'm not too nauseous. My mum didn't have any morning sickness for both of her children. I wonder whether I'll be the same?

Although I did finally do a second clearblue test and have a +3 this morning, so that's my reassurance sorted 😁.

@mummasoph congratulations! I've always wanted 3 babies, I think it's a lovely amount 🥰. How are you feeling?

@usunderthemoon ahh, it must be difficult for you and your DD 😔. It's a bit step! Hopefully she'll ease into the transition before you know it. In relation to the name, I thank you I also love it! I named my dog Eirlys (snowdrop in Welsh), because they found her half frozen in -18°. We live in a welsh speaking community (we're fluent welsh), so having a very wlesh name was a must! We're planning to do the same if all goes well with the pregnancy 🥰

MaltipooMama · 12/11/2024 11:02

How's everyone feeling today? I had my 12 week scan appointment booked yesterday and it's on Christmas Eve yikes!! I'm also doing the sneak peak gender blood test at home tomorrow so weirdly we will already know the sex when we go for the scan haha! I'm just over six weeks now and my god my hormones are kicking in I'm being a right moody little so and so, please tell me I'm not the only one 😂

RozzieRoo · 12/11/2024 11:15

@usunderthemoon aw that’s really sweet why do you think that? I did think I was having a boy because nausea wasn’t that bad, today however I'm paralysed by it , keep wretching and the thought of eating anything makes me want to vom 🤢 .. I have had one of each so far and known what I’m having without shadow of a doubt both times. This one so far I’m not so sure now, way I’m feeling today another girl 🤢

@MaltipooMama awee that’s so sweet!! I’m praying for a 12 week before Xmas, I’m 12 weeks on Xmas day and we really want to tell everyone at Xmas. 🤞🏻 will you have a Christmas announcement?
and please let us know how you get on with the blood test! I am so tempted 😆
you’re not the only one. Nearly lost my job yesterday by shouting at all the customers 😅😂

I've had some brown spotting today. I'm trying to remind myself that I'm not in control of it all. I have a scan booked with EPU tomorrow morning. My husband is a doctor at the hospital, so he's trying to get one for tonight. Trying not to feel too overwhelmed, I know that it's very common in the first tri! But feeling a little down about it all 😔. Hope you're all ok X

MaltipooMama · 12/11/2024 11:23

@RozzieRoo Ooh I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! Tbh we'll probably tell family before then but maybe reveal the gender on Christmas Day! Will do, I actually did one in the scan place last time but this home one is the same company they use and £50 cheaper to do it at home so a no brainer 😅 thank you that's made me feel a lot better haha I was thinking how can I be so moody already this isn't right 😂 I feel so totally different this time round, I'm convinced this one is a girl!

Countrygirl300 · 12/11/2024 11:30

Hey girls! I’ve been off my phone for a bit as works been so busy!

I have slightly sore boobs but only really when I touch them, I’m sure one of them has grown quite a bit too!! (Only the one though!)

i haven’t had any nausea yet which is a bit worrying as I’ve heard it’s a good sign for your pregnancy all being ok!

I have my scan at EPU on Friday morning because I was spotting brown, but it’s disappeared now for the last few days (hopefully that’s a good sign?)

I got my 12 week scan date for 30/12 which is a bit annoying as I really wanted it before Xmas! I might go for a private one just before so I have a nice photo to show people at Xmas!

usunderthemoon · 13/11/2024 00:19

My 12 week scan is booked in for the 23rd, I’m hoping all goes well and then we can announce at Christmas. It’s much easier announcing at this time of year as family are all together, it was a nightmare trying to do it with DD as we had to travel around to tell everyone.

@Eirlys75 I’m sure she will be fine, the staff say as soon as I’m gone she’s happy as larry, it’s only been a short time since I’ve gone back to work so I’m not stressing. I love the story of how your dog got her name, what a little miracle💫. I hope you managed to get seen by the doctor today and that all is well, I know that some spotting/light bleeding can be quite common this early on❤️

@MaltipooMama how exciting! I’m tempted to do the blood test for the gender, we didn’t find out with DD until she was born but I’d like to know this time I think.

@RozzieRoo it’s just a feeling, I had the same with DD. I also come from a family full of girls so I just imagine I will have another girl. Would be so happy either way though. So sorry that you’ve been feeling sick today, I hope you’ve managed to eat something💗.

@Countrygirl300 try not to worry too much about not having nausea, everyone’s symptoms are different, some people have no nausea at all.

MaltipooMama · 13/11/2024 07:34

@usunderthemoon aw my scan date is the same as yours! It was booked for Christmas Eve but I'd forgotten I have all my Christmas supermarket deliveries and food to go pick ups on the 24th 😅 so I rearranged it and now it's the 23rd. I am literally the world's most impatient person so I just can't help wanting to find out, if I had any patience I would so much rather wait though and have a lovely surprise!

Eirlys75 · 13/11/2024 11:57

Hello, quick update. I had a scan, they measured the sac at 5 weeks and 2 days (3 days earlier than we thought, but I guess it's all pretty subjective). They couldn't confirm anything yet, as it was too early. But, they could see the sac, so at least they know it's in the right place!! We have a follow up scan booked for next Wednesday.
You can't see much on the scan, but it's still very sweet of them to print it off! Hope everyone is okay x

luhby · 13/11/2024 15:19

Hi everyone!! I am glad to see so many of you with a due date close to mine :) My due date is 14th July 2025; I'm 36 years old and this is my first pregnancy.
Apart from a mild sore breast and having to wake up more at night to pee, I don't see much difference for now, I googled a couple of times to see if it was normal haha But apparently it is!
I don't want to create too many expectations for now, as it is so early and considering my age and so many close heartbreaking stories, but I can't wait to hear my baby's heartbeat!

Same due date as you 🥰 I also have minimal symptoms other than swollen boobs, some tiredness and peeing more! wishing you a healthy pregnancy.

Babydreamer123 · 14/11/2024 07:33

Hi ladies
I'm 5w 3days now and am still yet to get a 3+ on a clear blue. Have had 3x 2-3 weeks... I've also woken up with bad period like pains so I am really panicking. Has anyone else not had 3+ yet?

RozzieRoo · 14/11/2024 08:15

@Eirlys75 very sweet seeing your scans thank you for sharing them! I’m glad it went well 🥰🥰 hopefully you have lots to keep you busy this week so it flashes by, the waiting can be so painfully slow!

@luhby welcome and congratulations 🥳🥰👶🏼 many of the women on this thread have had barely any symptoms I believe, myself included, until sickness has kicked in around 6 weeks. Pregnancy anxiety is very real, it is all so consuming, but we are all here to support you 🥰

@Babydreamer123 I think there are so many variables for home testing results, please try not to worry, although I understand completely ❤️ I think all these home tests just cause more anxiety, which isn’t so good! I’ve seen lots of stories where women have got them a little later and everything has been fine. Maybe call your GP and explain your history, if you’ve had any accompanying spotting/one sided pain they may wish to do an HCG blood test xx

@Countrygirl300 how are you feeling? I think a couple of us have scans on Friday too so you’re not on your own! Glad the spotting has stopped ❤️

Hope you’re not feeling so lonely like you were before. I’ve told my husband, my best friend guessed , and so did someone at work 🙄 but other than that it is TOP secret. So hard to hide it, I don’t think I’ll be able to hide it from my boss for much longer. They saw me pregnant with my daughter and know what it means when I can only eat crackers 😅😂

OP posts:
Countrygirl300 · 14/11/2024 08:47

@RozzieRoo yes im really pleased the spotting has stopped and I got a 3+ digital yesterday when it was 2-3 last week so that made me feel good! I also had nausea yesterday too…..

so excited for the scan tomorrow, it’s my first pregnancy so no idea what to expect. I’m also either 5w6d based on when I ovulated or 6w4d on last period… hopefully we’ll be able to see a little bit and it’s not too early🤞🏻

How are you feeling?

RozzieRoo · 14/11/2024 08:59

@Countrygirl300 ah it’s so nerve wracking isn’t it, I’m so worried I’ll get there and there will be no heartbeat but like you I’m not sure on dates, could either be 6+2 LMP or 6+4 going by when I ovulated (I ovulated early this month 🥴) so will be interesting to know where I really am! Trying not to think about it 😂😂 kind of don’t want to go if I’m honest, ignorance is bliss.

Yeah that’s really good must have been implantation! Feeling quite sickly all day now tbh, it’s not unbearable but basically all foods and smells make me feel sick to the stomach, and I’m getting pretty tired. Other than that it’s business as usual 😂 my 2yo doesn’t care how sick I am so just have to get on with it, not sure if that’s why it doesn’t feel as bad this time 🤔 😂 is this your first?

OP posts:
Countrygirl300 · 14/11/2024 09:47

@RozzieRoo yes it’s my first, I’m going to be 32 next week (hopefully my scan is an early birthday present!!)

Mine is at 10am so luckily I don’t have to wait all day for it!

Do you know what date they can usually see a heartbeat? I think I’ll either be just a bit too early or hopefully maybe there will be one. That would be amazing!!

RozzieRoo · 14/11/2024 10:22

@Countrygirl300 aww that is so sweet ☺️ and happy birthday for next week! Mines not until 1:30, i’ll be very distracted at work! You’ll have to let me know how it goes I’ll be thinking of you ☺️

Well I saw my first (who is now 11) on an early scan and saw a heart beat. He was just a dot flickering 😂 I was just over 6 weeks. Dating at this time is pretty much guess work at this stage I think, anyway xx

CadoAvo · 14/11/2024 15:36

I've really been struggling with all day nausea. The only time I get a break from it is when I'm asleep and I'm now on my third day off work as can't cope with it. I haven't actually been sick though. I permanently feel full and sicky. I can still eat and drink although completely gone off anything sweet and currently living off crackers and babybels. I've just been prescribed prochlorperazine and taken my first dose, anyone have any experience with this? Really hoping the nausea will go away as it's really getting me down.

usunderthemoon · 14/11/2024 18:15

Well the nausea has finally hit😣. I forgot how tough the first trimester is, it’s been a day of crazy emotions, tiredness and nausea, very excited to go to bed.

@MaltipooMama how exciting! I’m usually so impatient and hate surprises but it was honestly the best surprise ever I’m really glad I waited to find out with DD. I probably won’t wait this time though because I think it would be nice for DD to know whether she’s having a brother or sister.

@Eirlys75 Lovely photos, I’m glad the scan went well. Keep us updated with how Wednesdays goes🩷

@luhby congratulations!💖 I also have minimal symptoms, just sleepy and emotional, although nausea started today.

@Babydreamer123 I hope everything is okay and the cramping has stopped❤️

@Countrygirl300 and @RozzieRoo good luck tomorrow! I good everything goes well for you both 🤞🏻.

@CadoAvo I have no experience with prochlorperazine, but I hope it helps you feel a bit better. Nausea is so awful.

RozzieRoo · 15/11/2024 16:21

Heartbeat seen thumping away and measuring 7mm ❤️🥰

The woman was so rough with the scanner though 🥴😂

@Countrygirl300 hope you got on well 💖

OP posts:
Countrygirl300 · 15/11/2024 17:19

@RozzieRoo awwww so pleased it went well!!

Mine was good too, I’m 5w5d measuring 2.2mm which is what I thought I was based on ovulation rather than my last period!

There was a little flickering heart beat too, so it was very early, but reassuring to see that even this early as it’s not always possible apparently!! 🥺
