How long did it take you to fall pregnant in your mid 30's?

I had 2 children before the age of 30 and conceived first time with my eldest, and then around 3 months with my youngest.

Wondering how much my age might affect my chances of conceiving quickly.

Had my first at 33, second at 36, conceived both first month of trying. So it can happen!

EcoCustard · 31/10/2024 22:35

I had my first at 34 & my fourth at 38. All conceived very quickly. Dc1 was immediately after a miscarriage & Dc4 was after a vasectomy.

DelurkingAJ · 31/10/2024 22:39

First at 32, first month, second at 35, six months.

Moonshiners · 31/10/2024 22:41

Aged 30 2years
Aged 31 1 shag (oops)
Aged 35 1 month of shagging every day!

Almostwelsh · 31/10/2024 22:41

A single act of unprotected sex was enough

Mumoftwo2022 · 31/10/2024 22:45

First month @32 and @35

NoCarbsForMe · 31/10/2024 22:48

DTD once.

BecksStory · 31/10/2024 23:08

33 - approx 5 months (most likely only 2 where we properly tried)

Currently 36 - 7 months of properly trying so far and nothing.

Babbahabba · 31/10/2024 23:13

First month- planned- just as easily/quickly as I did at 25 (unplanned).

river29 · 31/10/2024 23:14

First month. Bit of a shock after 18 months at 29/30 and 5 months at 32!

Switcher · 31/10/2024 23:16

Err, 10 seconds? This was also the case when I was 40 though, so if I'd been alive before contraception I'd have been in trouble!

MyOtherCarisAVauxhallZafira · 31/10/2024 23:17

I was 34 almost 35 have severe PCOS told I didn't ovulate, 5 weeks after I came off the pill I conceived, no ovulation/temperature testing or even sex to schedule.
You can't predict these things.

romdowa · 31/10/2024 23:18

It took me 12 months at 35 but only because dhs sperm results were shockingly bad , 3 months of taking a preconception multivitamin for him and we finally got a bfp. So I'd definitely reccomend both taking the supplements

TheNumberfaker · 31/10/2024 23:19

At 35 it took 9 months. At 37 it took 16 months.

Sandwichgen · 31/10/2024 23:19

I was 39 and it took a month.

CosmicLove · 31/10/2024 23:21

First pregnancy conceived at 35 without actively "trying". Just not not trying and having sex semi regularly.
Second pregnancy conceived at 37 on second month of trying. Sadly ended in MMC.
Waited one period before having sex again. Had sex once and conceived immediately (still aged 37). Currently 23 weeks into third pregnancy.
Good luck! Xx

LolleePop · 31/10/2024 23:25

I started trying aged 35 and didn't stop trying every night until I conceived over 1 year later. Eventually had DC1 aged 37. Couldn't believe it took me 2 years ftom TTC to eventually having my DC. Still can't believe it. It had a knock on effect in that I ended up having DC2 way older than I'd ever wanted to have kids.

Gingerisgoodforyou · 31/10/2024 23:36

37 - 2 months but mc
37 - 6 months then another mc
38 - 2 months (dc1)
39 - 1 month but mc
39 - 2 months (dc2)

So took a while, but mainly due to mc rather than problems conceiving

Unexpectedlysinglemum · 31/10/2024 23:40

First month of trying at 35

Losingit2024 · 31/10/2024 23:46

sel2223 · 01/11/2024 00:09
