@Sara1988 I do it after a warm bath or shower. Relax and massage the breast until I start to see the start of the droplet. Then kind of cup my boob and squeeze downwards towards the nipple. Then attempt to squeeze up the bead in the syringe before it drips off lol.

The first few times I tried I got nothing. It took a couple of days for my body to work out what was going on.

WeightoftheWorld · 26/09/2024 07:15

Best wishes to you @spudnik1 hope it all goes smoothly x

LuxeBiscuit · 26/09/2024 08:55

@spudnik1 all the best for your delivery today.

HotCrossBunnyInTheOven · 26/09/2024 12:20

Ooh how exciting, best of luck @spudnik1 I hope everything goes well ❤️😊

I've not posted here for ages but have been keeping up.

I'm 35 + 4 and feel so far behind everyone else. The insomnia is driving me crazy, awake every night from about 2.30-5.30, sleep for another hour if I'm lucky and that's it. As well as th SPD, breathlessness, general aches and pains and now I have a streaming cold on top of that 🤣

I have another growth scan on Monday as she's currently tiny and only measuring just below the 10th percentile. I'm hoping she has caught up a bit now 🤞

Good luck to everyone for straightforward, easy as possible births over the next few weeks!

mylittleitalianhome · 26/09/2024 12:48

@HotCrossBunnyInTheOven It’s miserable isn’t it? If it’s any consolation, the breathlessness, aches and pains etc have got better for me in the past few weeks (39 + 3 weeks here). I do have a streaming cold too though!

Im the same as you, I have two weeks at work left while some people in our baby group are already having theirs and I feel like I’m being left behind!

Found out yesterday it’s breech so it may end up being a c section for me as there’s no way I’m having manual rotation!

2doggos · 26/09/2024 13:20

@spudnik1 Hope everything went well for you x

@HotCrossBunnyInTheOven I'm a little ahead of you but I am the exact same, awake for a couple of hours in the middle of the night, so annoying!

Not long for us all now!

CluelessInLondon · 26/09/2024 13:30

@LuxeBiscuit@mylittleitalianhome @Oct24 Well you were all correct - it was labour and I was in denial! 😂 My beautiful little girl was born at 4.25 this morning in the birthing pool at the hospital. We went to hospital at about 8pm when I was having contractions every 3 minutes, but ended up being sent home because I was only 2cm dilated. After about an hour back at home I was contracting every minute and couldn't deal with the pain so we went back - fortunately the birth centre was quiet so they were happy to admit me. By 1am I was 8cm dilated and getting ready to get in the pool. It was a 3 hour slog from there, utterly exhausting and genuinely the worst physical experience of my entire life, but she is so gorgeous that it all feels worth it. Just waiting to hear if I'm going to be able to go home today - I lost more blood than they would have liked and had to have quite a few stitches so not sure yet if I have to stay in overnight.

@spudnik1 Hope the section went well today and you are enjoying snuggles with your little one right now!

Oct24 · 26/09/2024 13:53

@CluelessInLondon I called it! All of today (I'm on the other side of the world) I've been thinking of you and taking your silence as a good sign.

Many congratulations. Sounds like things went pretty well. Fingers crossed you can all get home soon but don't rush it. Be kind to yourself over the next few days and enjoy those gorgeous newborn cuddles.

Well done Mama!!!! Xx

Gamergirl86 · 26/09/2024 14:30

Congratulations 🎊 @CluelessInLondon ! How wonderful!

@sputnik Hope everything went to plan for you and baby.

My consultant brought my section forward to 2nd October so just a few days to go. DS has 4th birthday on Saturday and we're due to exchange on our house sale tomorrow. FiL had heart surgery yesterday and if anything else happens I swear my head will explode.

Oh its DH birthday today and our 12 Yr anniversary on Sunday 🫠🫠

Currently been admitted as contractions have started (although very early labour) might have my section brought forward to today or tomorrow morning.

Slightly annoyed as is DS 4th birthday party tomorrow! Can't be helped, baby comes when baby wants 😄

spudnik1 · 27/09/2024 13:51

congrats @CluelessInLondon and @spudnik1
I‘ve been in latent labour since Wednesday. It’s getting….tedious

Gamergirl86 · 28/09/2024 03:12

@spudnik1 big congratulations on your little boy! Hope the birth was smooth :)

Good news from me: My little girl was born via EMCS 27.9 after being in the early stages of labour all day. It was actually quite relaxed for a catagpry 2!

Can't believe my October 11th baby was born in September, 38 weeks on the dot!
