Congratulations to everyone whose little ones hav arrived.

My girl was born at midday on the 17th after a long old induction, thankfully we got home yesterday.
I'm a bit worried about feeding as she's not had a poo since Friday morning and wees are still a bit concentrated. I don't think my milk is fully in yet. I'll speak to the infant feeding team on Monday and hope we can muddle through for now

sending love to anyone up all night, either because they're still pregnant and uncomfortable or because of feeding!

How is everyone getting on with their little ones?

Is there anyone still waiting? I'm nearly a week overdue now and definitely feeling it. I've had a few signs over the last 10 days but nothing has ever gone anywhere, feeling vey emotional. I've got an induction booked but hoping something will happen before then.

Hopefully things come soon for you! I thought I'd be heading for my booked induction too but without any sign etc it all started overnight at 41+1.

Those pesky period type cramps turned into contractions and we went from there.

2doggos · 22/10/2024 18:44

@Kate9423 thank you, I really hope so. I'm trying to stay positive but I don't want to leave the house as I can't face anyone and the questions as I just feel emotional about it all

My DC2 wasn't born until 41+4, labour started overnight at 41+3. I was offered induction from 41 but declined that and settled on 41+5, and he was born the day before anyway. He was much larger than my other babies too having had that extra time to cook! Which I liked as he felt more robust haha was less worried about him.

Urgh the thing I wanted least has happened - I’m gowned up waiting for a planned c section for a breech baby and just been scanned and we’re now head down.

I really really don’t know what to do!

rachisamumtobe · 25/10/2024 18:04

@Mitsky goodness what a hard decision! What happened? X you ok?

Mitsky · 25/10/2024 22:59

We went ahead as were very much in the we’re having a baby today frame of mind.

And after being convinced our surprise was going to be a boy and calling it he for the majority of the pregnancy we’ve had a little nameless girl!

rachisamumtobe · 26/10/2024 11:04

@Mitsky congratulations! What a lovely surprise

2doggos · 26/10/2024 12:29

@Mitsky congratulations! What a lovely surprise for you x

WeightoftheWorld · 26/10/2024 12:41

Congrats @Mitsky ! What an unexpected situation for you but sounds like you made the right decision for your family.

2doggos · 28/10/2024 18:49

Well I managed to beat my induction date and went into labour the night before! I found labour really tough and ended up having an epidural. The birth went well and ended up with a couple of grazes but no stitches. Unfortunately my little girl is poorly and has to stay in the special care unit for a little bit but she is improving so fingers crossed she will be out soon.

Hope everyone else is enjoying their little ones xx

WeightoftheWorld · 28/10/2024 21:21

Congrats @2doggos and glad you got to avoid induction. Sorry to hear your little one is unwell and hoping that she makes a speedy recovery.

HotCrossBunnyInTheOven · 01/11/2024 22:07

Hello ladies, haven't posted in a while but today I gave birth to my tiny girl, 5 days late weighing 6lb 10oz!

My waters broke at 4.45am, no real contractions until about 7.30, checked at 9.30 and was 4cms and she was born in the birthing pool at 10.48!

I hope you and all your lovely babies are doing well 😊

rachisamumtobe · 02/11/2024 22:41

@HotCrossBunnyInTheOven congratulations to you!!! Xxxx
