I have found out VERY early that I am pregnant and due early June (I am only 10dpo today) and found out yesterday I am pregnant (22 Sept)

Wanted to start this thread for those of you who have also just found out :) I found the thread when I was pregnant with my son super helpful!

I'm Lexie, 32, have a 14 month old son so am just squeezing in 2 under 2 :)

@ThisElatedMintDreamer thinking of you, I hope you've been able to get an appointment today. ❤️

CAM8891 · 01/11/2024 11:54

@ThisElatedMintDreamer hope you're ok? You're on my mind. X

Hi all,
I have a scan for 8am tomorrow. The spotting has stopped, and the midwife said it’s reassuring that I have no cramping. Praying I just have a trapped nerve in my shoulder but also don’t want to give myself false hope. They’ve given me open access to the ward so if I start to get pains/heavy bleeding I can go straight in x

LS888 · 01/11/2024 12:36

@ThisElatedMintDreamer hope your scan goes well tomorrow 🤞🏻

@MummyMammoth oh it’s awful i have really suffered today, struggling to look after my toddler!

I feel you! I can't believe how much I took my first pregnancy for granted. I have a needy toddler today so I've had her swinging off my hip while I've been swallowing my nausea between loads of washing 🤣 Sleep/rest is for the wicked! The nausea is awful regardless but so hard when you can't give into it

Stef92 · 01/11/2024 20:52

Been cramping again today, hopefully this will rest up soon as I don't remember it being this constant in my first pregnancy.

I have my booking in appointment on thurs next week - I remember them really struggling to get blood out of me last time.. any tips on making it easier to get blood out of you? One appointment late on (I think it was to confirm I needed the anti-D jab) they nearly had to get blood out of my foot which I don't want to happen again

MittensForKittens123 · 01/11/2024 21:00

@Stef92 make sure you’re really well hydrated, it makes a big difference!

AmberM223 · 01/11/2024 21:12

@embomumof1 its awful isn’t it, i cried this aft to my partner saying how i just felt like i couldn’t parent already how am i going to cope if this carrys on!! Just wish the headache would go atleast and i could deal with either the sickness or a headache! Can’t cope with both 😂 Hope yours let’s up soon!

LS888 · 02/11/2024 07:52

@Stef92 well hydrated and walk around for a bit to keep the blood flowing. If I have bloods taken at the doctors I try to walk there. They have difficulty taking mine too and I hate needles so not looking forward to this blood tests again. With my last pregnancy they couldn’t get any and sent me to the doctors to do it instead.

Hi everyone and congrats on the many babies due in June ! I’ve been lurking for a while , had an early miscarriage beginning of September then didn’t get a period… got a positive pregnancy test 7th October , strong bfp’s not faint at all ! Went to EPU on 14th October for bloods because they thought could be retained products from miscarriage. Scan showed a very small 5mm gestational sac and hcg levels were over 2000 , progesterone 40 so definitely a new pregnancy ! Just no idea on dates as didn’t have a period inbetween. Going by the dates I started bleeding with the miscarriage I’d be 8 weeks now but the scan dated me at 4-5 weeks. Went back for a repeat scan on 24th October and saw the little heartbeat but they said measuring very small 5-6 weeks. So think I’m around 7 weeks now , have a private scan booked for 15th November when I’ll hopefully get better measurements and an accurate dating. Booking in app is 17th November and 12 week scan is already booked for 12th December. My concerns are why were my tests such strong dye stealers when I would have only been like 3 weeks pregnant and high hcg at such an early stage ? Im now concerned for chromosomal abnormalities im 40 years old . Will be having the Nipt once I know accurate dates from private scan. So by that last scan I’m estimating my due date will be around 19th-22nd June xx

ThisElatedMintDreamer · 02/11/2024 11:08

Hi everyone,
just to update from yesterday I’ve had my scan this morning and everything is fine! Baby is measuring at 6+5 so only two days behind what I originally thought. Also saw the little heartbeat and got given a few photos to swoon over. Hope everybody is doing well x

Congratulations and sorry to hear about your previous mc.
Is it possible that you still had hcg left over from your miscarriage and now more hcg is being added due to the new pregnancy? I think that’s why the advise to wait for periods to restart before trying again as it can confuse dates/hcg levels although I understand being told to wait is a lot easier said than done when you’re wanting a little one! X

I don’t think the hcg was from previous pregnancy because I’d had bloods done and it was very low and very slow rising so sort of indicated miscarriage before it happened plus I had a negative pregnancy test 3 weeks after miscarriage then positive tests 2 weeks after ! Wasn’t trying , I must have ovulated really late into that cycle , I’d actually started the pill but must have already happened , obviously stopped taking it as soon as I had that positive test.

Lovely news @ThisElatedMintDreamer, what a relief!

HystericalDinosaur · 02/11/2024 14:12

@38startingagain wow you've been through an awful lot. Good luck, hope the scans come round quickly xx

Had my scan today. All is well with baby, strong heartbeat.
Measuring 8w5d and the sonographer said you could see that the placenta formed/attached (think that’s the right terminology), which explains the drop in symptoms. 😅

Congrats! Do you know what it looked like the placenta?

I had my scan today too and measuring 8w exactly with a strong heartbeat! She pointed out the yolk sac for us but I couldn’t work out if that was where the placenta forms

Congratulations!! I’m actually not too sure, she did point it out but I was having a real Rachel from friends moment.. “I don’t see it!” 😂
It didn’t look like much but I could see the chord though! Yolk sack was still there but this is normal at this stage apparently. It’s all very new for me so learning each day!

YorkshirePeridot · 02/11/2024 19:23

Yay for positive scans @SaturnSpark and @LacedBouquet, congrats!

Mine is on Wednesday. Hopefully they're able to find a reason for this spotting that still won't stop.
