I have found out VERY early that I am pregnant and due early June (I am only 10dpo today) and found out yesterday I am pregnant (22 Sept)

Wanted to start this thread for those of you who have also just found out :) I found the thread when I was pregnant with my son super helpful!

I'm Lexie, 32, have a 14 month old son so am just squeezing in 2 under 2 :)

Anyone feel down & almost depressed?
Should feel excited but I just feel sad at the moment 😔

Bewildened · 21/10/2024 14:52

@bananapancake0 sorry to hear it.

I’ve been all over the place wondering if I’m even doing the right thing having this baby and worrying about the impact on my kids who are 6 and nearly 4. The fact I feel so ill isn’t really helping either!

I think it’s totally normal for emotions to be all over the place in early pregnancy. Have you talked to anyone IRL about how you feel?

Oh god yes, I'm either angry sad or worried 🙈 iv had a few losses so it's the anxiety in me I think, hopefully be better after 12 weeks!

bananapancake0 · 21/10/2024 14:57

@Bewildened @Daniki
Yeah hopefully it’s just a bad few days & it’s the hormones ramping up. I’m a cryer at the best of times! 😵‍💫😆

Me 😩 I'm so up and down at the moment, I've cried every day over the last few days. The anxiety is really getting to me, never experienced anything like it.

Lucky that I have the support of my family and husband, but thinking I'm going to mention it to my midwife as I'm not sure if I need more support.

Hope you're doing OK, make sure you look after yourself xx

Hey everyone

It has been confirmed today my hcg levels are declining once again, I was just wondering if anyone has any info/suggestions for me regarding IVF or IUI. I have one child age 15 but since that I’ve had 10 loses most being chemical pregnancies, 1 ectopic 1 molar. I’m under recurrent miscarriage I’ve had scans and bloods done, they came back normal but my scan did find an anterior wall fibroid but they are adamant that’s not causing miscarriage, they just tell me to call when I’m pregnant to get progesterone prescribed but obviously that isn’t working for me. I can get pregnant I just can’t stay pregnant so I’m all out of ideas! I’m not sure IVF would be suitable for me for that reason, I was wondering if anyone is in a similar position and gone on to have successful pregnancy? Sorry for the long post I’ve been on google but not really getting anywhere xxx

I'm sorry you have to go through this again.

I hope you don't feel this is prying, but is your 15yo from the same partner? Just wondering if there might a genetic reason that you didn't have before?

Re IVF: I did mine for a very different reason, so I can't really comment on the suitability for you. Can your recurrent miscarriage team not advise?

Sending love x

CM123baby · 21/10/2024 20:53

@PlanABC Thankyou for replying ❤️ I have a follow up telephone appointment tomorrow so I’ve got a lot of questions, I’ve wrote them down because my mind goes blank when I speak to them. My child is from a previous partner, my now partner doesn’t have any children but because I’m getting pregnant they don’t think he could be the problem, that is definitely one of my questions tomorrow, I find myself agreeing with them instead of being persistent! But I need some answers now! It gets tougher every time I really thought this was going to be the one ☹️

Stef92 · 21/10/2024 21:09

I had some brown discharge tonight and I'm cramping again. I fear this only ends in one way 😭 6+3 with flo, 6+2 with nhs

i hope your ok, try to rest and relax it might be ok yet x

Stef92 · 21/10/2024 21:51

@Kels21 I'm ok, I've had nothing on the loo roll to worry about for a few hours so I'm hoping whatever it was has passed. Still cramping though, if I have anymore discharge overnight I'll ring GP/EPU. Thank you for checking in Smile

I'm so sorry you're going through this.
I'm under a private consultant for recurrent miscarriage and have been prescribed clexane blood thinners and steroids as well as progesterone despite tests coming back normal. It may be worth exploring private recurrent miscarriage support before IVF just in terms of cost. I think IVF can be good if it's an egg quality issue. Xxx

CM123baby · 21/10/2024 22:13

@HystericalDinosaur Thankyou ❤️ I am going to look into it because I think it’s an issue with implantation, they did say after a viability scan I would get aspirin and steroids I just never get that far xx

Hi, sorry to hear all the issues you’ve had. I’ve had 10 miscarriages / MMC / with surgical and medical management variations. Request a referral to a recurrent miscarriage clinic - I’m under the care of Tommys. For endometrial issues they do “womb prep” luteal phase progesterone from day 18 until your next period then increase progesterone dose if a positive test + clexane and aspirin from week 10. Early reassurance scans at 7 and 10 weeks etc. IVF isn’t the answer if you can conceive and have difficulty carrying. I’d defo look into recurrent miscarriage clinics.

im sorry you’re going through this, its hell and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.
here if you need a chat anytime.
take care

CM123baby · 22/10/2024 07:23

@MummyMammoth Thankyou so much! Sorry you have to go through this aswell it’s soul destroying! I’m going to ask my GP for a referral, the recurrent miscarriage I’m under now is not the best, I no it’s free so can’t complain but every phone call I have with them they ask is it my first pregnancy, I have to go through all my loses again and again, it’s frustrating because nobody seems to no my situation it’s like they ask every time but don’t make note of anything.

AmberM223 · 22/10/2024 09:18

@Stef92 how are you this morning? i’m 5+2 and been spotting pink or brown since last Thursday, also got cramps 😖 it’s such an awful time. Sending you lots of positive vibes x

Creepyoctopus · 22/10/2024 10:04

I've not had any further discharge but I am cramping. I just don't feel like I did with my son and the previous miscarriage last year is constantly making me anxious. It is an awful waiting game, isn't it? Hope you're feeling ok x

AmberM223 · 22/10/2024 10:25

@Stef92 atleast no spotting is a good sign! i’m cramping lots too! How quick did your last MC come on? You would like to think if something was going to happen it just would instead of taking days and dragging out, just feels cruel 😣 I don’t feel at all like i did with my little boy which is making me super anxious! It really is an awful time xx

mumofone1111 · 22/10/2024 10:30

Hi everyone :)
I'm going to try and keep up - we've just been away for a few days and been a manic few weeks 🙈

Sorry tmi
Is anyone else having lots of diarrhoea?? I don't remember it being this bad with my previous ..it's been over 1.5 weeks and my nipples are normally on fire and I can slap them 🫣 very odd for me 😂

How is everyone?

mumofone1111 · 22/10/2024 11:02

Ok I've gone back a good few messages and read as many as I can (trying to get in the loop :) )

@LacedBouquet that's interested about the hcg and sickness. I was more sick with my second and sooner than my first but weirdly only had waves here and there of nausea this time. This one feels so so different

@Bewildened that's interesting - tbh that's why I've been worried as also had multiple losses and this one I've got the 3+ on clear blue but feels so different - not much nausea at all, nipples normal, feel quite normal tbh apart from lots of bloating (look about 7 months!) and (sorry tmi) over a week of diarrhoea 🙈 so sorry for your losses ❤️

@CM123baby im so sorry to hear that ❤️ sending lots of love! I'm not sure in those option but was also under the recurrent miscarriage clinic previously. Have they suggested anything else? ❤️ as said it might be worth your partner getting checked - could maybe be a genetic marker? @HystericalDinosaur I was going to suggest blood thinners but couldn't be sure where I'd heard it so wasn't sure if was on the right track

@Stef92
🤞🏻 this can also be normal

Stef92 · 22/10/2024 11:09

@AmberM223 my miscarriage last year was a few days after I found out and it happened very quick. I'm heartened that I've got further than last time.

@mumofone1111 I had that not long after I got my positive test and it lasted a few days 🤢 I'm not sure if you're allowed to take anything to help ease it when pregnant so I just cracked on 🤮🫣

LJ08 · 22/10/2024 12:28

Hi again everyone! How are we all doing? I think I'm 8 weeks today, and feeling absolutely rotten 😅 the last week and a half has just been constant nausea, with the odd day of being sick too. Funny how we forget all this fun stuff isn't it?!

Firstly, what's opinions on having an early scan this week? I haven't even had my booking appointment through yet, so just feeling a bit like it's not quite real yet... Secondly, is anyone else feeling a bit fat and frumpy? My lower tummy is noticeably bigger, but not rounded just squishy 😂 I'm feeling very grateful it's autumn and I can hide away in nice big jumpers!

codemytea · 22/10/2024 12:57

@LJ08 I'm 8 weeks today as well! Are you due 3rd June? Almost not fitting into anything anymore around the waist. I've resigned myself to tracksuit bottoms I dug out the back of my wardrobe, but I've gotten some strange looks in work :D Looking forward to the bloating going down around week 12.
