I have found out VERY early that I am pregnant and due early June (I am only 10dpo today) and found out yesterday I am pregnant (22 Sept)

Wanted to start this thread for those of you who have also just found out :) I found the thread when I was pregnant with my son super helpful!

I'm Lexie, 32, have a 14 month old son so am just squeezing in 2 under 2 :)

Welcome @Hellzbellz89!

I think 8-9 weeks is a good time to go for an early scan - the baby is baby shaped by then! (I’m pregnant with dc3 I hope, but have been pregnant 8 times in total, so had many many scans at different points).

LillB · 09/10/2024 20:34

Last time I had a scan at 7w1d. I could see a heartbeat but not much else. It was so sad then not seeing anything at week 11 when I had a mc.

I got booked in for an early NHS scan this Friday to confirm the location of the pregnancy before I get progesterone prescribed. I'm hopeful that all is well, but I'm dreading the appointment so much, as I think I'm still not quite over the last scan @😢

Sobersally · 09/10/2024 20:56

I’m only 10DPO today and LMP was 3 weeks 5 days ago so I’m super early but I know I’ll book a private scan at 6 weeks it’s like I can’t believe it’s happening until I see on a scan that there is something there! Although I had a scan at that date with a previous pregnancy and there wasn’t much to see.. maybe I’ll try and wait it out for a bit longer if I can control myself and then will see more on a scan 🤞🏻✨

allthingspinkx · 09/10/2024 21:36

@LillB thank you for your response and I'm so sorry to hear that. How far along will you be at this scan if you don't mind me asking?

@Sobersally I want to book a 6 week scan too but I'm going to try & hold off until at least 7 weeks 😅

Stef92 · 09/10/2024 22:29

👋🏻 found out yesterday. I have no idea when my due date will be as my cycles have been between 24 and 30 days since early miscarriage in Jul23. NHS say my estimated due date is 14th June so I’ll roll with that for now. I already have a 3.5 year old but if this pregnancy progresses I know things will be very different!

No worries. I'll be 6w exactly (well, if Flo is accurate). They just want to check the location. I might be bit of a wuss but I'm not even sure if I'll dare to look at the screen this time around. Just don't want to get my hopes up.

LacedBouquet · 10/10/2024 09:10

Feeling a tad more relieved this morning! I got my bloods back from two days ago (I was 4w4d at the time).
Beta HCG was 605 and progesterone was 47.3! I’m delighted with the HCG, and the progesterone is in range but I think I’ll maybe start my prog suppositories just to give it an extra chance as I’ve lost several pregnancies before. Anyone else had progesterone tested? x

CosmoMango · 10/10/2024 09:13

@LacedBouquet Great bloods! Mine were 2274 at 4+6. Are you going to have a second set? I'm waiting for mine and worried they will be lower

Bewildened · 10/10/2024 09:13

Hi @LacedBouquet congratulations! I’ve never had my progesterone tested but I take steroids for recurrent mcs and am also prescribed progesterone as a matter of course.

I used to have the suppositories but am now on oral tablets (ultragestan) and prefer taking it that way for obvious reasons!

I haven’t had my bloods done in this pregnancy but have a scan next week at 6+2 - in all of my pregnancies it’s been clear by this point whether things are going well or not.

LacedBouquet · 10/10/2024 09:20

@CosmoMango wow yours are so high! That’s a great sign! No we were mainly doing the bloods to figure out my progesterone levels and since I was only showing 1-2 weeks at 4w on the clear blue which has a threshold of 150 for HCG for the 2-3 weeks indicator, I can’t have been more than 150 on Friday so that tells us the HCG has more than doubled between Friday and when I tested. So I’m leaving it at that as I found doing the bloods tests so anxiety- inducing! Good luck for yours, I doubt they’ll be lower as they are so nice and high and shows great growth!

@Bewildened Thanks! Ah do you have issues with immune response to embryo? We weren’t sure if I did but tried sitagliptin this month for low lining stem cells and it has worked a treat! Sometimes the low lining stem cells can cause immune response too. Hopefully this protocol will do the trick for you! Best of luck for the scan. I’m so nervous for it as I’ve never made it to a viable scan but thinking of booking for 8w

CosmoMango · 10/10/2024 09:22

@LacedBouquet Thank you! Results not until 5pm ish and I've frightened myself by watching tiktoks that say it should be 6000 by now

Bewildened · 10/10/2024 09:27

@LacedBouquet yes, overactive immune response. I had 3 mcs before dc1 and then 1 (unplanned so unmedicated) between dc1 and 2, but easy and good pregnancies with dc 1 and 2 on this protocol, so I know it works for me. I also had a Mc in July while on the plan but it was a random chromosomal one and had a completely different pattern to my previous losses.

We had decided to try for 1 more cycle and then just be happy with what we have, so can’t quite believe I actually conceived as it was the first proper cycle after Mc and I’m 37 now. I still feel completely shocked and have a what will be will be attitude to it all.

CosmoMango · 10/10/2024 09:29

Just checked they were actually 2477. I know I'll panic if they aren't 5000

Anitamartini · 10/10/2024 12:44

Hi ladies

Congrats to all on your pregnancy 💖
Tested positive on Saturday at 11dpo, took a clear blue digital today at 4w2d/16dpo and states 1-2 weeks so even though lines have good progression thats knocked me, anyone have similar experience?

EDD 17th June, fingers crossed!

Clear blue tests work differently. It's not how many weeks pregnant but how long since ovulation 😊 hopes that reassure you x

Thanks @HelloItsMeAgainHello
I know that's the case , it's just have seen people get 2-3 weeks after 14dpo so I'm just anxious that I've not met that threshold yet, think i'll steer clear of them now😅

Hi, I rested at 4+2 too and got 1-2 weeks! I did another digital today at 6w and got 3+ 🙂 didn't want to get in the habit of obsessively testing every day to see progression so waiting til 6 weeks worked for me!

Thanks a mill @iridescentbloom that's really reassuring, I think i'll follow your lead regarding testing. Congrats on your pregnancy 😀

Bb542 · 10/10/2024 17:07

Just had my first scan 🥹❤️ after 2 miscarriages, I had a positive scan. Measuring 6w2d and got to see and hear the heartbeat 🥹❤️ still going to be cautious but this feels like a little milestone.

Hope everyone is well ❤️

LacedBouquet · 10/10/2024 17:30

@CosmoMango Let me know how you get on. You're right that you want them to double every 48 hours however yours are already very high. The higher the HCG the more likely they'll double in 72 hours than 48 so don't be alarmed if not exactly 5000.

@Bewildened Awww massive congrats then, it must've been on the cards for you! Hopefully this time it is the one! I understand with the multiple losses, this is my seventh pregnancy first baby. And thankfully no bleeding at all this time (I bleed with every single pregnancy) so hoping a good sign of things to come.

@Anitamartini I was the exact same don't worry! Remember ClearBlue is subjective because it has to read the thickness of the line and that hcg in urine is always less than in blood. Based on my blood results at 4w4d, I had to be over the threshold of 150 when I tested at 4w but I only got 1-2 weeks as well. So I don't think it's too accurate and wouldn't worry about it x

LacedBouquet · 10/10/2024 17:30

Massive congrats @Bb542 !! How wonderful, a big milestone indeed x

LacedBouquet · 10/10/2024 17:39

@Anitamartini To make you feel better, read this https://uk.clearblue.com/sites/default/files/hcp_cb9_professional_brochure.pdf

And then open up your test. I did it for mine and you can see in the attached picture I actually have a line on both the low sensitivity strip beside the dark control line (this detects higher levels of hcg) and on the high sensitivity strip (detects lower levels of hog) yet still showed 1-2 weeks. I bet if you open yours, you'll have two lines on the top strip and one on the bottom like mine

I've had a day on edge with symptoms coming and going, cramping has been constant. I can't help but feel I will be leaving this page soon. Everytime I'm going to the loo I'm terrified I'm going to be bleeding. I didn't feel like this with first so I'm very nervous after miscarriage last year

FunnyPombear · 11/10/2024 06:20

Just found out a few days ago that I am pregnant and apparently 5w+0 today.

First pregnancy after over a year of trying and not sure I’m able to let myself believe it.

This thread has been so helpful so far - I have been previously diagnosed with PCOS 3 years ago although lost weight since. I think that when I’ve had a progesterone blood test it was quite low.

I Saw some comments on here about taking progesterone supplements - if anyone has any time and would be kind enough to explain what for and why I would be really interested to know more about this and if it’s something I should be discussing with my doctor?

very nervous but excited, I just also don’t want to get ahead of myself and end up disappointed!

thanks all in advance from a very nervous first time pregnancy!
