I have just found out I am expecting baby number 2 and my due date is 1st May.

Has anyone else found out they are expecting and looking for some company?

Ahh lovely, congratulations 😊 Hopefully I can say the same on Sunday!

I spoke with the midwife who said she’s not worried about it. It seems to have stopped now anyway so fingers crossed.

I know it’s so much easier said than done, but do try not to stress. If it’s stopped or intermittent, that’s a great sign :)

Is anyone else worried to tell their workplace? I’m petrified. I’ve worked there one year today and the place just shocks me. They don’t know I’m pregnant, but weirdly enough my colleague came in saying she feels sick so the first thing that was said was you’re pregnant. They was saying the boss won’t like it, she’ll get sacked blah blah. It was said in a jokey way but I know they mean it and deffo not nice to hear when you’re actually sitting there in the early stages of pregnancy. Months ago if the conversation would come up they would say the boss doesn’t like people having time off for holiday etc and that pregnancy wouldn’t go down well. I know my rights and so on but it’s still stressful and I worry about how they will react and treat me.

Hi everyone! Just found out I'm pregnant. Massive shock as I was just told a few weeks ago that I have an ovarian cyst and wasn't ovulating.
Also I have low progesterone so praying it all goes well. Booking in to see doctor tmrw. Due may 22nd by my calculations.
Would you guys be happy to set up a whatsapp group? One was set up here during my first pregnancy and its still very active.

Hey everyone,
I believe I’m 6+2 with my first. Would be due May 13th. I’ve got my first midwife appointment early October and my 12 week scan late October. I’ve booked an early private scan for the end of this month but this morning after going for a wee I had a watery light brown substance on the paper. I had the tiniest bit of implantation bleeding weeks ago and that was light pink. It’s had me very worried today, so I’ve moved my scan to this Sunday. It almost looked like the start of my period. My breast have stopped feeling tender too but I know this is common and can come and go. Has anyone else had something similar? The light brown substance hasn’t shown since this morning but I’m very worried as I’ve not done this before. Took us nearly 2 years to get to this point. I’ve read through some of the pages on here but there’s a lot to catch up on Xx

I had this the other day - my normal amount of CM was randomly tinged brown with old blood on Saturday. It was normal again by Sunday but I had a scan booked with the early pregnancy unit at my nearby hospital. They were able to see a heartbeat yesterday at 6+5 and then did an internal scan too and said it was looking normal. They never said what the blood might be but weren’t worried. I know how worrying it can be and I got really scared on Saturday, but honestly it’s normally nothing to worry about if it’s just a little bit. Sending hugs though because it’s never nice!! X

@Poster57 Yes definitely feels different from the first 2, I had them quite close together and this time around it’s a big gap, but I'm definitely feeling more tired this time 🤦🏽‍♀️

This could've been written by me! I'm slightly behind you (5+5), first pregnancy so no idea what to expect. Tuesday and yesterday morning I had the exact same as you - very light brown when wiping, almost egg white cervical mucus tinged slightly brown. It was only in the morning, and each time I went to the toilet the amount decreased (there wasn't a huge amount to begin with) until nothing else at 11am-ish. This happened exactly the same, both days.

I rang my GP in panic on Tuesday and they weren't at all concerned. They said brown often means old blood, so its likely still implantation spotting coming out. They said if the amount increased, there were clots or it was bright red or pink, then to ring back but weren't at all concerned about a small amount of light brown.

This morning, I've woke up to nothing, and a couple of ladies in the May Whatsapp group who already have children have experienced the same with both current and previous healthy pregnancies.

Good luck with your scan - hopefully this reassures you a little😊

Poster57 · 19/09/2024 09:23

@CrazyIsLife whats your gap this time? We had less than 2 years the first time and I think that anything sounds huge after that. We’ll have 3 years between youngest and new baby and that sounds huge to me 😂 I know how utterly ridiculous that is but after 2 under 2 I can’t help but irrationally worry that it’s too big a gap 🙈 I think that whatever the gap it’s natural to worry about dynamic changes with a 3rd etc, the first 2 already have a solid relationship for example. Eek - I think it’s just change that causes the fear in a lot of ways! :)

I’m so tired as well & so nauseous already 🤢😭

Herewegoagainno3 · 19/09/2024 11:34

Hi there! Please can I join? I just got my BFP! And puts my due date roughly the last week of May

CrazyIsLife · 19/09/2024 13:58

@Poster57 There will be 10yrs between youngest and new baby so quite a big gap 😂
There’s less than 2 yrs between my
others so I feel you on that, having 2 under 2 was a challenge so I feel having this baby on its own should be easy/easier in some ways, but then my others had each other for company so that helped too.

I hate change, so the fact our life is about to change so much is causing me worry, plus l’m 10yrs older.

Sickness started last week and everything smells so awful so I’m not sure how long I can keep it a secret 🤐

Hope everyone else is having a good day so far X

Hi I'm 4 weeks pregnant exactly, I've been having cramping on and off for the past few days and just there I had a tiny bit of brown discharge. I'd the cramping normal ? And Is the brown discharge anything to worry about?

Yeah it's normal!! I had some brown spotting at around 5 weeks. Midwife said not to worry. It's old blood. potentially some left over implantation bleeding

Cookies123 · 20/09/2024 09:31

Wee update from my post yesterday, I have now started cramping really badly on the one side and starting bleeding heavily, currently waiting on EPU phoning me back.

Poster57 · 20/09/2024 12:49

@Cookies123 hope you hear back from them soon & hope things are more settled than they must feel. Thinking of you

notaurewhatusername · 20/09/2024 21:22

@MrsKurz yes thank you for asking! I'm now almost 11 weeks and it's going fine. Fingers crossed 🤞

Tee1991 · 20/09/2024 23:00

So excited to be posting on here 🥰 I’m due on 1st May which was confirmed at my 8 week reassurance scan today! This is my first baby and seeing its little heart beating away has to be the best moment of my life so far.

Sierra26 · 21/09/2024 07:42

Hi all! Can’t believe I’m here… had my first ever (faint) BFP a week ago and I’m now 4w+2 which makes due date 29th May. I can be quite exact as we had IVF.

After years of trying and unexplained infertility, it’s been a long journey to get here so I’m feeling quite nervous and worried. But at the same time the happiest I’ve ever been! Seeing that positive was surreal.

Looking forward to hearing how everyone gets on.

TheUniqueMember · 21/09/2024 10:58

@BrodieKD How did your scan go?

BrodieKD · 21/09/2024 11:48

@TheUniqueMember it went so so well thank you! I'm 8 weeks 1 day today. Saw the heartbeat and the start of little legs and arms. Amazing! How are you doing? X
