Me!

I think I'll be due around 14th April. 5+1 today!

I've known for about 10 days, which has felt like forever 😆

spttc · 14/08/2024 16:13

You're both ahead of me. I'm 4 weeks 1 day. Due date on my birthday! 🎉 Is this your first, second etc? This is my 2nd. I have a 2 year old daughter

Aww that’s a nice birthday present if it happens on that day. Congratulations. I have three girls aged 13, 10 and 4. 4th pregnancy for me 🥰

spttc · 14/08/2024 19:43

@Beckybrkr7 yeh it likely won't be. It will be a planned c-section due to complications last time that's what's been advised so I'd say it will be more like the 15th. I could probably request the date of my birthday but I'm undecided if that's a good idea 🤔 might be better to have seperate days you know how kids like their own day 😂 my niece wasn't impressed at all when I told her my 1st baby was due on her birthday 😅

Oh I see. I think it’s better for them to have their own special day yes.
Have you had any sickness yet? I’m still waiting for it to kick in. 🤢

spttc · 14/08/2024 20:00

@Beckybrkr7 weirdly enough I did a bit earlier today but I'm verrry early (4wks 1 day). It was that that made me test. I'm trying to remember when my sickness started last time I think pretty early. Were you bad with nausea on your other pregnancies?

Just found out 4+3 due 21st of April 2025 🤗

Just booked an early scan because I don’t think I can make it till NHS 12 week scan 🤦🏼‍♀️

Tigerlilyxx · 14/08/2024 22:28

Theres another thread with a Facebook group for the expectant mummys for April

Cosmos24 · 15/08/2024 08:14

Me too, I'm 4+4 by dates :D but I've had 3 miscarriages before, so waiting for the scan at 7 weeks before getting excited... Can I ask you guys some silly questions, since it sounds like you've mostly had kids before? I've had a bunch of tests done and there's not been anything very conclusive found that caused the miscarriages, so it makes me kind of paranoid that simple little things might cause one - in your previous pregnancies (that were successful) did you exert yourselves much? I have all these weird ideas like if I run or land too heavily that it might disturb the baby, or if I bend my knees up to my chest for too long that it might cut off the blood supply. Which I realise is crazy, because surely the human race would not have survived this long if it was so easy to have a miscarriage, but you know how easy it is to over think things! Also sex, I'm worried that might wobble the baby too much 😂any reassurance of your own pregnancies working out fine despite doing these things would be amazing! Thanks :D

Hi Lovely! Firstly congratulations! Enjoy it for every day as much as you can. I've had multiple miscarriages, but a very healthy now 8yo and hopefully carrying a successful pregnancy. Babies are a lot more protected in your tummy than you might think (: Exercise I believe is recommended if you currently already do it. Nothing will stop the blood supply as it's your placenta doing the work so bend those legs! Sex is what got you in this position in the first place and will not harm your baby! You've got this! 💛

Cosmos24 · 15/08/2024 09:34

Haha thank you ☺️ yeah I know that is all the official advice, I’m just checking that people actually have done those things and it all been fine in real life, rather than just the guidelines. Thank you!!

Ohwelldone · 15/08/2024 14:22

Congratulations! Im 4+5 today, this is my 3rd 😳😅

spttc · 15/08/2024 14:52

@Cosmos24 I think it's common to feel that. This is my 2nd pregnancy. I've never had a miscarriage or even a chemical. I got pregnant quickly both times. 1st month this time and we only dtd twyce 😅 but STILL I'm petrified to move. Skipped the gym yesterday. Will again today. Eagerly testing like a maniac looking for progression and I'm only 9dpo! Every twinge or slight cramp I'm nervous. I think I was maybe less nervous on my first pregnancy maybe because I was naive, nothing bad had happened to me, and I didn't know anyone who had had a miscarriage so it wasn't so much on my mind. I also think I just feel so lucky to have gotten pregnant on the first try this time that it's too good to be true almost 😭 my daughter will be 3yrs 2 months when this baby is born and I like that age gap and don't want a bigger one. So I think I'm very very invested. So yes. I'm frozen in fear like yourself 🤣 I'll definitely go back to the gym on Monday and just take it easy.

Welcome @Ohwelldone and congratulations! I'm 4+2. We are all quite close actually!

Has anyone booked their first appointment? I got a bit excited yesterday and booked mine lol only 8dpo 🤣 September 10th at 10:10am.... all the 10s seems right 😁 I'll be 8 weeks. I'm going to do the panorama test at 9weeks I think as I'm dying to know gender 😅 Who else plans to find out gender?

OP posts:
Tdcp · 15/08/2024 15:49

Congratulations every one! I'm almost 8 weeks with my little blueberry so I'm sure of the due date but it's roughly April right 😂

spttc · 15/08/2024 15:53

@Tdcp do you know the first day of your last period? 18th of June if 8 weeks. So due date is 25th March!

It was June 22nd, I just really don't want a date of 29th March 😂

Cosmos24 · 15/08/2024 16:44

@spttc haha ok thanks, glad it's not just me! Were you a bit more active with your first?

Not booked the midwife yet, sadly we did that with our first miscarriage and then had to cancel it, so all the others I've waited to book and sadly never reached it. We're going to book a scan at 7 weeks and then if that's fine we'll book the midwife. I just hope it doesn't make the midwife appointment too late if they're booked up, but never mind!

I've done an online referral to the midwife this morning, so will have to wait until they get back to me for an appointment!
What's the panorama test? I'm going to google now 😅
But yes we will definitely be finding out when we can, we have two boys so a little girl would be lovely 🤞
Is anyone having any symptoms yet?

spttc · 15/08/2024 17:41

@Tdcp only 5% give birth on their due date anyway! It will be a few days either side! Have you any other kids already?

OP posts:
spttc · 15/08/2024 17:43

@Cosmos24 aw fingers crossed with this one 🤞🥰 I was definitely a bit less worried I think with my first but it's hard to remember. Once my pregnancy tests get dark I'll feel better. I'm going to go to the gym on Monday and get back to normal activity! There is no danger doing your usual activity apparently

OP posts:
spttc · 15/08/2024 17:45

@Ohwelldone it's an NIPT it's just a blood test. Screens for conditions and you can find out the gender from 9 weeks. We did it last time. It was great 😍 this is what it is. There's another type called the harmony test too www.natera.com/womens-health/panorama-nipt-prenatal-screening/

Hi girls hope you don't mind me joining you....I've just got my bfp so due around end of April.... I have a 4 month old (born via c section) so scary being pregnant so soon. Also have a 3.5 year old, 16 and 18 year olds....all girls so my 5th and final baby if all goes well 🤞 I have had a loss last year which I'm sure was a boy at 12 weeks. Sending everyone all the luck on the world ❤️

spttc · 15/08/2024 19:59

Welcome @Anonaust 😁 my brother & his wife just had their 5th! They have 4 girls, 1 boy. Maybe you'll be the same! Are you finding out the gender or waiting do you think? Sorry for the loss of your other pregnancy 😔
