@herewegoagain123456 @Odessa1 @SBelfast @elb1504 Just woke up to these messages and so happy it's not just me! Thank you so much and wishing us a chill 2nd trimester and okay third.

retrievermum · 23/07/2024 11:50

12 week scan today and they’ve given me an EDD of 1st Feb! Said I was the first February mam they’ve scanned haha!
Baby looked happy and healthy, NT was 1.5mm, which from my quick google seems to be okay?

Hope everyone else is doing okay and today goes well for you @UrbanSquirrel!

UrbanSquirrel · 23/07/2024 11:52

Oh that's great news @retrievermum! So glad it all went well. We're about to leave for the appointment and I'm getting the jitters 😂

Fully expecting to be demoted from my current 1 Feb EDD to a week or so later, based on early scans, but we'll see. Eek! x

Great news @retrievermum and good luck @UrbanSquirrel !

Piluka · 23/07/2024 12:00

Good luck @UrbanSquirrel and the rest of you who has the scan today. Glad to hear about your baby @retrievermum.

Toriiaa · 23/07/2024 12:20

@UrbanSquirrel sending good vibes and can't wait to hear your update later.

Can anyone give me their view on the new rsv vaccine?
I was offered it yesterday to be booked in for September but I have declined it after reading the studies as they never tested on anyone with thyroid conditions (I have an under active thyroid) I think it's pretty inconsiderate of the nhs to expect me to agree to be injected with something new, when it's never been tested on someone with pre existing conditions (and this is openly stated on the Pfizer official document)

Toriiaa · 23/07/2024 12:20

@retrievermum wahoooo bet that's put your mind at ease! ❤️❤️❤️

elb1504 · 23/07/2024 12:30

@retrievermum Congratulations!!

@UrbanSquirrel Good Luck with the appointment!

@Toriiaa The vaccine was mentioned to me yesterday too but not to book just some information regarding it coming, I haven't done any research on it yet but it does seem strange they haven't fully researched it with pre-existing medical conditions. I will likely have the vaccine as RSV can be horrible in babies but definitely going to do some more research.

Toriiaa · 23/07/2024 12:35

@elb1504 I've never heard of RSV.
Think I'll be declining it, like the flu, Covid, whooping cough and whatever else they want to fill us with. Thalidomide is close to my heart and I also have two friends who lost their pregnancies after their Covid jabs so it says it all for me

DauntedAF · 23/07/2024 12:42

10 weeks 3 days! So delighted to see baby growing. Felt like a looooong wait from our seven wweker

Good luck today @UrbanSquirrel !

re vaccines, my friend who’s a nurse said RSV and whooping cough are really valuable to protect the baby when they’re born, so I’ll be trusting her view. But then I don’t really have underlying conditions, so maybe an easier decision for me

UrbanSquirrel · 23/07/2024 15:28

A successful 12-week scan here too; hurrah! All is looking good well and the measurements were all as they should be. Development seems to be coming along well. Such a relief! I went slightly overboard in terms of the amount of water I drank in advance, so it wasn't the most relaxed appointment I've ever had 😂 Due date revised to 3 Feb.

Baby was very stubborn as she simply wouldn't turn the right way for a photo, but also a bit of a fidget... Here she is, the little nuisance 😂 x

Gorgeous picture @DauntedAF! Yes, the different between 6/7 weeks and 9/10 weeks is just mind blowing isn't it? 💛

Ahh congratulations @UrbanSquirrel lovely picture!

SBelfast · 23/07/2024 15:41

I can't believe how different the scans look after a few weeks! Great to see ladies :) thanks for sharing!

UrbanSquirrel · 23/07/2024 15:41

Also @Toriiaa and @EastLondonCoffeeFiend I didn't even get asked about RSV and now I feel left out 😂 x

@DauntedAF and @UrbanSquirrel both fab pics 😍❤️! So amazing to see everyone progressing well 😁.

@DauntedAF was yours a private scan or was this your 12 week (I've heard the 12 week can be done between 10-14 weeks)? I'm 10+5 but don't have mine until 12+4 and that feels like an eternity...

Pepsix · 23/07/2024 16:09

Wonderful picture @UrbanSquirrel I’m so glad everything went well.

I've been a little silent on here but still catching up on all of your amazing scan photos!

I had my booking appointment this afternoon which went good, also have a private scan booked tonight as I had a little tumble on Sunday and just wanted some reassurance (and to see baby again 🤭)
now just have to wait for my 12 week appt coming through this week ☺️

Mine was the NIPT test which is private. Hence why the quality of the pic is so good

KittyFantastica · 23/07/2024 17:14

Lovely scan @UrbanSquirrel very pleased for you!

I had my booking in appointment today and all went well. They were thrilled with my blood results, but said my BP was very low, so they'll watch it going into the next trimester.

Toriiaa · 23/07/2024 17:47

Don't think you're being left out @UrbanSquirrel there's plenty more test subjects lining up for it 😂

rcppab · 23/07/2024 18:00

Well I certainly don’t feel like a test subject, I’ll be having the vaccines offered as I believe that’s the safest thing for both me and my baby and that the benefits outweigh the risks :)

Lovely scan pics everyone! I’ve been staying quiet as it doesn’t feel real yet (I’ve not had any private scans) but booking appointment this morning was really positive!

superj21 · 23/07/2024 18:06

@DauntedAF ah got you. Hope all goes well with it and you get your results soon!

Absolutely! Posts like this make me want to quit social media. I also don't feel like a test subject and will follow the recommendations by NHS. I have blood clotting condition but have had COVID jab twice during my pregnancy with my son, because benefits outweigh the risks. Had seen 2 very poorly babies with RSV in my NCT group, who had to be intubated, and they had issues after with breathing months later.

Lemonbalm8 · 23/07/2024 18:36

Congrats on the 12 week scans, they're so amazing! Also lovely to see more updates on Facebook.
