DD is screaming for fun 😅

How often are your babies feeding now we're approaching 5 months?
We're still on 3 hourly, tried to stretch her longer but she won't have it.
Only happens if she's asleep.

I can't remember when DS when to 4 hourly

Has anyone else's little one started taking notice in what you're eating.
My little man has started and if I show it him he grabs out, I don't mean what's on my fork but like when I was eating a slice of pizza he was really wanting to grab at it

Meeting · 02/07/2024 10:22

@ProudMummyxo mine has! I've been letting her have the odd taste, well more of a lick!

RachLeeds · 02/07/2024 12:42

@LavenderSweetPea - glad it’s not just me… 😅

We’re on 2.5-3 hourly bottles (unless Charlie naps longer) and still on one night feed, so 6 bottles a day x

LavenderSweetPea · 02/07/2024 13:34

@Sunshineclouds11 I'm feeding every 2.5-3ish hours. We do our last feed at 8pm and then he goes to 6am the following day. I'm BF so can't really increase the amount of milk he is having per feed so I assume it'll just stay this way until he's having a meaningful amount of food.

Sunshineclouds11 · 02/07/2024 13:40

Pleased you are all on the same of 3hours ish.

One night feed here too, sometimes she is just wanting the dummy.

2boysandmee · 02/07/2024 14:15

We are still every 3 hours here too, even on a night time most nights 😩😴

Ihatewinding · 02/07/2024 14:49

@Sunshineclouds11 2-3 hourly in day, usually 2.5. Normally only naps 35-45 mins in day then 2 night feeds so 7 bottles total but typically 3.5-4oz only with the odd 5-6oz thrown in. Sometimes can stretch him to one longer nap around lunchtime then will be more 3+h. He's got reflux though so think he's just self regulating as when trying to encourage more he just brings it back. I stopped his omeprazole as thought it was upsetting his belly and he seems to be managing this by reducing his feed volumes himself since, clever boy haha. Probs means night feeds for a while though 😴

msp2023 · 02/07/2024 15:00

We're still 2.5-3h during the day too with 1-2 quick feeds in the night (that sometimes turn into 30-60 min chats and giggles!) 🫠

Anyone else struggling with changing poopy nappies due to squirminess and hands going everywhere?! My little one goes straight for the bum with her hands and as she sucks her thumb, I get so panicked during poop changes! Any tips and tricks would be appreciated!

Sunshineclouds11 · 02/07/2024 15:49

@msp2023 Give her a toy or something to hold whilst your changing her

LavenderSweetPea · 02/07/2024 16:45

@msp2023 yeah something else to hold. Maybe a clean nappy if you don't want to risk a toy getting poopy 😂

msp2023 · 02/07/2024 21:08

Thanks ladies! I do try but she always just seems more interested in the nappy changing process 😆

2boysandmee · 03/07/2024 12:39

Has anyone's little ones moved into their cot yet? If so did sleep improve?

My boy is pretty much filling his snuz pod and keeps trying to roll over but hits the sides then gets annoyed. Scared to move him incase I open more issues, as sleep is minimal already!

Sunshineclouds11 · 03/07/2024 12:56

@2boysandmee I had to move her into travel cot as there was no more room in Moses.
It totally came at the wrong time, she slept through for 3 nights and all hell broke loose getting settled into travel cot.
Took her a good week🙈

But she now sleeps starfished and soundly 😇

Cheetocat · 03/07/2024 13:08

I moved my little boy to his cot last week because he's been showing an interest in rolling onto his tummy in the night and I feel better about him doing that on the firm cot mattress. Glad I moved him because he started rolling in his sleep two nights ago.

2boysandmee · 03/07/2024 13:21

@Sunshineclouds11 to be honest not sure it can get much worse at this point, sleeping definitely isn't his strong point! Think I'm just gonna have to go for it and hopefully he will be starfishing in no time Grin

@Cheetocat that's my concern, don't want him rolling and getting stuck on the side of the crib. I think he would definitely be sleeping on his tummy if he could

Sunshineclouds11 · 03/07/2024 21:39

@2boysandmee Hope it goes well!

Cheetocat · 03/07/2024 21:50

@2boysandmee He is sleeping much better with the freedom of the cot, he loves it. 😍

2boysandmee · 03/07/2024 22:34

@Sunshineclouds11 thank you

@Cheetocat aww bless him! I'm gonna change to the cot tomorrow so hopefully it will help with sleep 🙏🏼

Cheetocat · 04/07/2024 09:50

Anyone confused with clothes sizing? My little boy generally wears 3 - 6 months but he looks like his feet are going to burst through some of his babygrows but he also still fits in quite a few 0 - 3 months clothes if they don't have feet. He is on the smaller side so I don't get what's happening with the babygrows. (think he's 15th centile for weight and 25th for height)

Sunshineclouds11 · 04/07/2024 10:44

@Cheetocat I think depends where you buy.
I've got leggings in the same size for DD but there is a difference.

I find baby grows are the first to be small for them with having the feet in.
Is he quite long?

Cheetocat · 04/07/2024 13:29

@Sunshineclouds11 No, he's not very long at all, was 61cm at his 4 month injections. 🤣

Cheetocat · 07/07/2024 15:52

Anyone else struggling to sleep? I have to force myself to stay awake settling my son when he wakes up in the night but then when I lie back down my mind is racing, I lie there for hours sometimes. I took melatonin before I was pregnant but I still need to get up with the baby multiple times a night so won't be taking it. Sometimes listening to a podcasts helps me fall asleep but it still takes a while.

ProudMummyxo · 07/07/2024 22:34

Pretty much every night recently @Cheetocat
Thursday I'd been awake since 2:30am cos I just couldn't nod off after resettling
