Hello! We’re hitting the terrible twos tantrum era! Everything is ‘nooooo’ and small tasks become a war! Also super super clingy / poor sleep again after mainly sleeping through for the past 5/6 months 😭
But also loving watching her grow and learn and copy everything we say!
So many emotions 🤣

On a side note, this group got me through the early stages of motherhood and I’m so appreciative.

How are you @CheeseAndCrackersx

CheeseAndCrackersx · 13/10/2025 17:19

I’m not too bad currently, we lost our family dog last week so very heartbroken after having him for 15 years 💔 but remaining strong for my boy

Yeah sleep is taking a bit of a dip here too. Taking him about an hour just to fall asleep at night, he likes to settle himself in his cot but he just seems to be struggling to nod off currently. And naps are on the short side 😆 upside is all 4 canines have cut through now so will there be a break or will those last 4 begin (I dunno which I’d prefer)

Hes such a character though and so helpful at home 😊

has anyone thought of introducing a pillow yet? He’s more than happy with a sleeping bag so not thinking about a duvet yet but unsure about a pillow

Hi, we're doing well! Little boy is speaking very well in both languages and so social. He's balancing on two wheels on his balance bike. He is requesting specific foods that he wants. Still breastfeeding to sleep at nap time and falls asleep on his own after a feed at night time. He loves the bin truck, road cleaning truck and watching the gardener in the local park. He's getting his first haircut in the morning. I absolutely can't believe I'm already buying clothes in size 2 - 3 years for this winter! 🙈🙈🙈

@CheeseAndCrackersx We have a very thin pillow underneath the cot sheet, he likes it and if he wriggles off or sleeps on the other end he eventually goes back there to lay his head on it.

CheeseAndCrackersx · 13/10/2025 19:19

That’s a good shout with it under the sheet @Cheetocat less chance of him putting it on his face then like he does with his iggle piggle teddy 😊

Pleased to hear all your LO's are doing well!

DD has had a pillow for awhile and she loves it.

also entering the terrible two stage. She knows exactly what she wants.
otherwise she's coming on great, her singing nursery rhymes are my favourite thing

CheeseAndCrackersx · 13/10/2025 23:16

My son is all about the cars and football. He’s so sweet the way he sits reading his books to us though 🥹

What songs are you singing with your little ones? I have a very small repertoire.

Oh yeah, my little boy loves Incy Wincy and Twinkle Twinkle (he sings the word star over and over again). I have sang Miss Polly to him before but I had forgotten about it. I need to learn this Wind the Bobbin song!

CheeseAndCrackersx · 14/10/2025 18:01

Love wind the bobbin up here 😀

I’ve introduced the pillow under the sheet and it’s going well 🙂 find he doesn’t move all around his cot much either 😊

We have a toddler pillow and duvet in the cot too, I think it’s helped now it’s getting colder.

Sunshineclouds11 · 20/11/2025 10:48

im so excited for Christmas this year for DD.

CheeseAndCrackersx · 22/11/2025 17:08

At nursery my DD often only naps 40 minutes and last week skipped it altogether 😳

At home we generally get 40-90 minutes

We’ve been trying since DD was born and are now expecting our final DC, I’m 11 weeks with number 4

Aww congratulations🥰 it was just back in July you said you were trying cos I asked about how long to give my cycle to get back to normal etc 😀 we’ve started trying this month.

Oh yes, it was a long journey to get my cycles back and regulated. I’m still BFing now and all seems well

Mismatc · 24/11/2025 21:49

I hope TTC goes smoothly for you ☺️

Cheetocat · 26/11/2025 17:48

What's everyone doing for Christmas? My little boy always points out a Moana doll in the shop but other than that I'm a bit stuck for a main gift. We already have a tricycle, a balance bike, triangle etc..

Sunshineclouds11 · 26/11/2025 18:30

Congrats @Mismatchow exciting!

@CheetocatDD is getting a scooter

CheeseAndCrackersx · 10/12/2025 12:49

What age do you think you’ll stop using a high chair?

We got one of the wooden adjustable ones where you can move the seat/step higher and lower, I took the bar off the front of it a few months ago and my son climbs on and off by himself. He pushes it close to the table before climbing on and pushes himself out before getting down. I got a waterproof table protector that I just leave on at all times and wipe it down after meals. If he had a regular high chair I think we'd still be using it for a while because he's still way too small/immature for a regular dining chair.

We stopped I'd say about 2 month ago.
