@mand35 oh that's great I'm 27+1! X glad you're doing well. I'm doing good thanks too just fascinating watching my belly move around lol

rachisamumtobe · 23/07/2024 18:39

@30somethingttc I had the glucose tolerance test last Friday, I was ok and the blood tests were so quick always better when a proper phlebotomist does it! The drink was raspberry and not bad at all, not heard anything yet so hoping I'm negative x

Sara1988 · 23/07/2024 17:04

I'm reallt struggling with fatigue and aches and pains the last few days. Napping every day for about two hours! I can't cope with this for another 10 weeks and I'm desperate to keep moving til the end. Anyone else in the same boat?

Have you had your iron levels checked?

I have a lot of fatigue and aches and pains but due to ME. I nap for 4 hours on a good day and 8 on a bad!

Sara1988 · 23/07/2024 19:57

@JLT24 I did at the beginning of the pregnancy and all really good. I am sleeping terribly at night. I'm off work for summer thank goodness or don't know how I would cope. Have brought a pregnancy belt to try to help with pains. Must be tough juggling me with pregnancy!

30somethingttc · 23/07/2024 20:02

@rachisamumtobe
yes that’s a good point re who’s doing them. Glad to hear that about the drink as I’ve only heard negative things!
I don’t know why I thought you’d find out straight away!!
fingers crossed yours come back negative!!! X

rachisamumtobe · 23/07/2024 23:13

@30somethingttc it may be different where you are but I had got myself a bit worked up and tbh I don't know why (I mean I do have anxiety but still lol) they said results would take up to 4 working days to come through if positive.

Thanks I hope yours goes well, I'm sure you'll be fine xx

30somethingttc · 24/07/2024 10:20

@rachisamumtobe annoyingly I vommed 30 mins after drinking the drink 🙈🙈🙈
they’ve said I can try again but after the embarrassment of it happening In front of 30 strangers in the waiting room it’s put me off!

now to travel home on the tube covered in sick 🤣🤣 get me in a shower asap!

RobynC28 · 24/07/2024 11:12

@30somethingttc poor you! I almost vommed after mine (especially when i did it at 13 weeks!). It's soo disgusting!

rachisamumtobe · 24/07/2024 18:07

@30somethingttc oh no I'm so sorry! That's rubbish! 😕

mylittleitalianhome · 24/07/2024 22:12

@30somethingttc Oh no, that must have been awful! Vomming was my biggest fear, especially as the nurse really piled on how awful it was probably going to make me feel, but luckily I only felt a bit blurgh. I think that my extremely sweet tooth and high sugar tolerance finally paid off 😅

RobynC28 · 26/07/2024 09:56

Anyone else feeling their nausea return? Not as bad as first trimester but I keep getting these sickness waves. Maybe related to heart burn etc. I think I need to remember to eat more often and drink lots of water.

30somethingttc · 26/07/2024 19:26

Thank you everyone. Was just a bit embarrassing 😂😂

@RobynC28 that’s so funny you say that as the past 2 mornings I’ve felt really sick and wondered if it was the return of morning sickness. I wondered if it was babies growing and putting pressure on everything else!

sazzlondon · 27/07/2024 08:23

@RobynC28 no sickness for me but I'm really struggling with my bladder! Every time I get up I feel like I need to pee desperately but then only a few drops come out when I go to the bathroom!

mrssunshinexxx · 27/07/2024 13:47

@sazzlondon have you tried leaning forward on the toilet

sazzlondon · 27/07/2024 14:06

@mrssunshinexxx yes, I've tried that one but doesn't seem to do the trick!

IsLarryFromSomething · 29/07/2024 18:40

Yes, I've had bad heartburn and it has been giving me a hard time. I also have to pee often but then barely any comes out, at my last midwife appt she said the baby might be putting pressure on my bladder.

LuxeBiscuit · 29/07/2024 20:13

I don't like taking rennie etc but I've found strong mint sweets help with heartburn

WeightoftheWorld · 29/07/2024 20:14

I'm peeing very regularly now including at least once a night and odd bit of stress incontinence when I sneeze a few times in a row eurgh. Had all this in my previous pregnancy albeit the stress incontinence didn't start until later so I'm a bit apprehensive about that getting a lot worse...make sure you're all doing your pelvic floor exercises regularly!

sazzlondon · 30/07/2024 08:38

@WeightoftheWorld I've not started doing any pelvic floor exercises yet! Any videos you recommend following? Thanks

CluelessInLondon · 30/07/2024 10:20

@sazzlondon There's some stuff on the NHS website about pelvic floor exercises and how to do them: https://www.nhs.uk/pregnancy/keeping-well/exercise/
I go through phases of being really good and doing them every day, and then sometimes I forget for ages. I do always remember to try and tighten my pelvic floor whenever I cough or sneeze, and as I have hay fever I've had lots of opportunities to do that over the last few weeks. 😂

I'm another who is peeing more frequently, solidarity with everyone who gets stressed out about being away from a toilet for more than half an hour! I can't remember the last time I made it through the night without having to get up for a wee, and sometimes I end up doing lots of really tiny pees in a short space of time - that's when I assume baby is sitting a bit lower and squishing my bladder. Last night I was getting ready to go the gym, I went for a wee twice in 20 minutes while I was at home and then again 15 minutes after that when I arrived at the gym!

Is taking rennie bad? I've been having about 8 of the powdered tablets a day

I also feel the near constant need to wee. I ignore it. Doesn't seem to get worse but never improves so I figure just save the pee up?

CluelessInLondon · 30/07/2024 20:06

@Sara1988 Once my body has decided it needs a wee I get too uncomfortable if I don't go! Especially if it happens during the night, I can never get back to sleep unless I go to the loo. It's such a pain!

Sara1988 · 30/07/2024 20:20

@CluelessInLondon oh yeah at night I'm done for. Up four or five times 😅

I don't know about Rennie but gaviscon is fine, I checked with the pharmacist and it also says so on the box. They might be different names for the same thing maybe?

sazzlondon · 30/07/2024 21:25

@CluelessInLondon exactly the same as me! It's more a mental thing than physical. I swear some nights I've been 10 times to the loo during the night. Thank god I've an en suite so it's not too far to walk!
