Got my positive today, its says Pregnant 1-2 but I think im 5 weeks and 4 days going by my dates so should the test say 2-3 weeks...in with doctor tomorrow...going by my dates ,i recird everything when we dtd, ovulated wverything, im the 29th December, thus is like a dream, being extremely cautious but very hopeful and grateful.....

Bailem · 01/05/2024 10:13

Ugh I'm struggling today, nauseous, very tired. Grateful to be wfh today whilst DD is at nursery but I just want to crawl into bed. The house is a tip. 9weeks tomorrow, first trimester is dragging!

MissMadam · 01/05/2024 11:08

Anyone still not had a booking appointment come in yet? I’m 8 weeks next week but nothing so far and I’m aware on holiday when I’m 12 weeks. It would really be helpful if they get in touch.

RedRobyn2021 · 01/05/2024 13:18

In case anyone is interested (or just for me to look back on perhaps?) I have stopped being sick now and feel a bit better thank god for medicine

Lalaland13 · 01/05/2024 14:15

Oh that must be such relief @RedRobyn2021 - long may it continue. Hopefully you can keep food and water down. Don’t want to get dehydrated x

littlepanda88 · 01/05/2024 14:17

@RedRobyn2021 I was just going to ask how you're doing? I'm so glad you've been able to keep the medicine down, it's really rough. I've been sick a few times today myself and it's even harder with a toddler running around the house as well. You know you'll get through it - hopefully you can eat something and things will get a little easier!

RedRobyn2021 · 01/05/2024 14:44

@Lalaland13 & @littlepanda88

Thanks. I'm letting DD do the hoovering in the lounge right now so she's happy

Sorry to hear you've been sick too @littlepanda88

I remember later in my pregnancy I was sometimes sick once or twice and then I was ok because of the medicine, so I just need to remind myself that hopefully it won't be like this forever. I've definitely overdone it the last couple of days and not been listening to my body, I've learnt my lesson

chloescotland · 01/05/2024 14:47

Hello! I have my first scan booked on Monday, I will be 7 weeks 4 days from last period, just wondering if anyone else went around time and what to expect? It's my first and I'm quite literally going crazy waiting haha

Iamnotalemming · 01/05/2024 15:24

NSC1980 · 28/04/2024 17:20

@Aoife2024 sadly I was right to be worried. My HCG had only increased by 50% in 48 hours so took myself to A&E on Thursday and told them I suspected ectopic. After a four hour wait, they referred me upstairs to EPU where I was told they can’t just scan everyone and I didn’t look like I was having an ectopic. Eventually they gave me an appointment to come back the next day and be scanned - where they discovered it was indeed ectopic and the tube had ruptured so there was internal bleeding. Suddenly they took things very seriously and I was in emergency surgery an hour later to remove the tube. At home recovering now, feeling completely heartbroken and empty.

Sorry for the negative story - I hope everything is moving in the right direction for you and you’re not feeling too anxious.

@NSC1980 I'm so sorry for your loss and your experience at the hospital. Sending Flowers

Noisinmaro · 01/05/2024 15:28

@NSC1980 im so sorry to hear this, thankfully you got scanned and sorted, similar happened to my sister and it was acted on late and she was very ill, rest up and take it easy.

Confused161200 · 01/05/2024 15:54

I’m due December 4th!

Confused161200 · 01/05/2024 15:55

I had a can at 7 weeks and again at 8 bub looks like a potato!

Beck3115 · 01/05/2024 16:21

hi all, I hope you’re all doing ok. I’m 8 weeks today and had a scan the day before yesterday. Saw little baby, just the one, in the right place & a nice heartbeat 💓

Aardbeien · 01/05/2024 19:01

I realise I might have miscalculated when I might be due at this point because of irregular periods, I could be due a November baby. Really looking forward to that first scan/appointment so I have an idea how far along I may be. The first trimester has been so hard so far. I'm so moody and sore and nauseous, I'm really hoping the second trimester will be better.

Sheth86 · 01/05/2024 22:41

Wow I thought my sickness has stopped. I had it around five weeks and then it stopped for a bit but today it came back with vegence. I don't tend to be sick, just feel it but today I was actually sick. Left over food and smells seem to be my trigger.

My belly looks huge alresdy and I'm only eight weeks. Feeling a bit frustrated that feeling so pants as I want to start the nesting phase and do things to my house etc lol. But I know it will all come in good time xxx

I've found that when I've overdone it and not listened to my body I am suffering for it

Gross overshare but my first pregnancy ruined my favourite treat breakfast of eggs royale (eggs Benedict but with salmon instead of ham).

Vomiting food is 1000% times worse than liquid, it's horrendous

RedRobyn2021 · 02/05/2024 05:58

When is everyone going to start wearing maternity clothes?

I am only 6w5 so it's going to be a while for me, but my first pregnancy I barely got myself anything and it didn't help with my discomfort at the end. This time I've gone to Vinted and so far I have 2 pairs of jeans and some dungarees

I don’t think I bought anything until late. I just bought cheapie stuff a size bigger because I didn’t have belly yet to hold up the maternity clothes. I do have couple pieces like some
leggings and shorts. I might a few more things late summer. Annoyingly with the bloating all my trousers including my work trousers are tight. I’m wearing dresses but i’m so bloated I look pregnant which isn’t great.

Harribo86 · 02/05/2024 08:35

Morning sickness has hit me hard the last few days, and total exhaustion. I really want to hold off telling work, thankfully I work from home most of the week but I've had to make excuses to stay home the whole week. Can't keep this up until 3 months.

Also does anyone have any food tips? I've tried plain crackers or biscuits but that's just not working, I don't fancy it.

littlepanda88 · 02/05/2024 13:53

How is everyone doing today? I'm still feeling rough with the sickness, just constant nausea and sometimes vomiting, have a bit of relief after being sick then back to the nausea all day again!

Had my scan today and measuring 7wk 1 day, saw the little heartbeat as well so was lovely to see :)

I think I'm going to also buy some maternity things later on off vinted as well, how are you feeling today @RedRobyn2021?

CaptainCabinets · 02/05/2024 13:57

Had my booking bloods today and have been told I have to go on double dose folic acid and Vit D until delivery due to having a BMI over 30 🙃

In happier news though, we had a play about with our ultrasound scanner at work and found a little tiny baby and a heartbeat!

I've bought elastic waist jeans and a loose t-shirt in a size up, not strictly maternity but anything pressing on my tummy is making me feel sick and I decided I wanted an outfit I felt good in and could grow a bit

Molly4689 · 02/05/2024 15:55

@RedRobyn2021 glad you're feeling a bit better! I only really had one maternity jumpsuit I lived in plus leggings and vests last time. I also bought a couple of dresses from H&M in bigger sizes as much cheaper and did get some wear out of them after. Think I'll mostly look for stuff that doubles up as nursing clothes after I get to about 16 weeks.

Had my booking appointment yesterday - feels a lot more real now! It was the same midwife as DS and she's lovely, nice to have a familiar face. Hoping to get the date for my 12 weeks scan though so can think about maybe telling family. May wait till 16 weeks and after testing to tell friends. Feels like times started to move at a normal pace now!!

Quolla · 02/05/2024 17:20

@MissMadam I have this problem too! We've got a dress code at work and all my trousers are already so tight because of bloating and it's really uncomfortable. But I don't really want to buy new outfits in a bigger size just to need maternity in a few months, but then maternity seems overkill now at seven weeks 😅
