Hi @GreenPickle, that's no prob ☺️
according to fertility friend app i ovulated at beginning of April... around the 2nd or 3rd... I wasnt tracking my ovulation with temp checks or anything but I definitely didn't ovulate later than that .. its very hard to figure out, I realised today I'm prob better off to defocus and wait. I think having a miscarriage does this... how are you feeling in general?

ok so deffo around 5 weeks then it seems. Annoying that we can't just walk in somewhere and quickly get a scan there and then 😞

My maternity unit has a little chat box when you self-refer to ask non-urgent questions - could you do anything like that?

Honestly I'm super scared and have convinced myself of many issues. This is my first pregnancy and have just about diagnosed myself with everything and looking on the internet is my worst enemy at the moment! I'm taking a week's indicator test tomorrow morning (all other tests have said positive but what's 1 more🤣) so I'm just anxiously waiting to see what that says!

I'm trying to be positive about the whole thing as I thought this would be the easy part - how wrong I was! Think I need to defocus as well and stop taking tests 😂 a positive is a positive!

Just wondering how extra or not everyone is about the what you can and can't eat while pregnant? (I think I'm probably in the extra camp and wondering if I'm being over the top!). Are you googling everything/just sticking to NHS - what are you doing about eating out? Thanks

Im being careful with restricted stuff, but i feel too poorly to force myself to face stuff i feel ill at the thought of (mostly vegetables tbh). I love kimchi for example but mostly its unpasteurised so shouldn't really have it as could contain something nasty. I miss it 😪

Jellybaby8686 · 25/04/2024 18:27

Hi everyone, hope you don't mind me joining too. I'm currently 4w1d, so due 31st December. I've been ttc since January. I got pregnant in March but sadly ended with a chemical at 3w5d. I'm so worried about every little ache thinking I will miscarry again. The only plus is I've had great line progression this time round so trying to be optimistic.🤍🤍🤍

Hi @pinkpetunias are you 6+2 today?

I got my 3+ at 5+3
All my tests are now dye stealers
First scan 5+5 saw the gestation sac and yolk sac
HGC bloods 5+6 was 17999
8 weeks yesterday another follow-up scan saw one baby and heartbeat, baby is measuring dead on 8 weeks so my dates are correct 16mm long and heartbeat 163
My next scan is 24th May ill be 12+2 then

sorry @Molly4689 and @UnicornPrincessSarah i think my post was super confusing! Based on first day of last period I am 4w+5, I think this might be wrong though as I ovulated early on CD11. I got my 3+ on a clearblue digital earlier this week at 4w+2 using the period calculations, but even if I am further along than I thought I am still getting the 3+ result early which is why I thought my hcg is high. Strip tests have always been so dark for me too, the top one in the photo is 14DPO and the bottom is 17DPO.

I decided to book an early pregnancy scan for 7 weeks due to @Molly4689 ’s advice but today I’ve started getting brown spotting and crippling lower back pain which I’ve not had before so now I’m worrying about that instead.

so much worry in first trimester, and I’m usually a calm and rational person! ☹️

@pinkpetunias You could be having twins? As you will see from posts on here a lot of ladies here have had spotting and been ok and brown is meant to be old blood

Deff book a early scan for peace of mind

Yeah the brown spotting seems to be completely random, lots of ladies are fine but for some indicator of something not right. The back pain in conjunction is what is stressing me out though as I’ve not had that before!

The early scan is booked for 7 weeks so will just try and not worry myself sick in the meantime. I did think twins could be a possibility, molar pregnancies have high hcg too which is not a good outcome at all so fingers crossed it’s not that. Just need to keep calm and wait.

I'm sorry you’re worrying, but I’m from reading through the thread I think a lot of us are anxious, I certainly am. I’m on about my 100,000 test.

I’m 16 dpo and my lines look like this. I haven’t got a clear blue though. But I’m 4+3 today.

I’m so dehydrated at the moment even though I’m drinking loads, I put my strong tests down to that.

It’s so easy to over think and over google 🥺 fingers crossed it will all be fine. I drink litres of water a day so not usually dehydrated but I’ve seen people say theirs are higher at certain times of day. Also lots of people worried about lower hcg too which I think just shows how it’s a worrying time for everyone!

Aoife2024 · 25/04/2024 21:23

Yes @GreenPickle I really think I need to defocus now, the time will go quicker too until the first scan. It's your first pregnancy so it would be nice for you to enjoy it... I'm on last chance due to age and other circumstances so I think that's why I'm so attached to the outcome... im starting to Feel a bit more relaxed now and accepting what will be will be.

Noisinmaro · 26/04/2024 00:15

Didn't join this month took a break from this but here im am catching up on the 2 threads!!
was due AF Sunday/Monday still hasn't arrived...ive no symptoms except tiredness which is usual for me and cant leave the house without going back to the loo which is very annoying....I've no tests in house so must order some tomorrow prob won't arrive until Monday so either af will arrive....I ovulated on the 7th as I test using clear blue...so not sure why AF hasn't come...I'm so use to getting stark white negative Tests!!

RedRobyn2021 · 26/04/2024 08:08

@littlepanda88 I'm so glad to hear that! Just getting an unpleasant nausea in the morning but I'm managing to keep vomiting at bay for now.

Molly4689 · 26/04/2024 08:14

@pinkpetunias I have also had pink spotting, very light and on/off for about 5/6 days but it has stopped now and I do have a cervical ectropian. Your EPU would most likely scan you for spotting and pain so worth contacting them to see. Spotting and pain can both be completely normal - I had both with my DS and he's here and well! Doesn't stop it being worrying though x

Harribo86 · 26/04/2024 11:40

@Lunamoon23 thanks for coming back to me.
That's reassuring. I put a pad on yesterday to keep an eye and there was nothing. Just a really really pale pinky colour twice when I went to the loo and once today. The cramps are on and off too so it sounds like it's fairly normal.

Bring on the early scan - 3 weeks to go!

Aardbeien · 26/04/2024 12:39

Is anyone else finding the first trimester exhaustion really hard? I feel like I'm always in bed right now, work and other health appointments just make me cry because I feel too tired to go, I still don't even know how far along I am, I'm sure I'll cheer up when I finally see baby thriving

curiouscat1987 · 26/04/2024 13:35

This has been a really rubbish week! Sickness is bad, spd has stepped up a notch and is now affecting my lower back and leg which is super painful but also cant walk as one of my legs and the lower back keep just giving way. And just now had blood tests back that are pointing towards gestational diabetes 😒 I was kind of dreading all this from being so much heavier this time round than last time!

God the tiredness is bad.. I'm basically falling asleep at 8pm every night nowadays!!! And yawning all day lol

Understatedcarriage · 26/04/2024 14:25

Feeling so tired too! My body feels so heavy!

RedRobyn2021 · 26/04/2024 16:53

I feel exhausted too. I went back to bed for another 2 hours after I dropped DD off at preschool

littlepanda88 · 26/04/2024 17:39

@Aardbeien definitely 100% with you! I'm just over 6 weeks and the past few weeks I've been trying to get naps in when I can and so tired by my kids bedtime, I'm in bed not long after them! It's crazy!

@RedRobyn2021 haha I am literally just awake from another 2 hour nap... can't believe the tiredness, can't really remember being this tired from my last two pregnancies! Hopefully it subsides soon, feel like a zombie these days

A customer at my work commented that I was looking tired and I wanted to be like "you don't say" 😂

catmumma84 · 26/04/2024 18:24

I’m 5 weeks and I’m not tired … now I’m worried I should be tired?! How many weeks are all you tired ladies? Xx

RosePombear · 26/04/2024 18:47

Just checking back in, I’m 5+5 now I think. I’ve got no energy at all and am feeling really nauseas, no sickness but just constantly feeling sick. I’m finding it difficult to keep up with DD and keep going as normal. I hope everyone’s doing well.

UnicornPrincessSarah · 26/04/2024 19:14

@pinkpetunias Just keep an eye on the spotting and maybe a diary of when it happens.

Im having a lot of back pain myself but my utures is titled more towards my back, midwife did mention back pain can be common to early on

Are you able to have a scan before 7 weeks?

OP posts:
Lunamoon23 · 26/04/2024 19:38

@Harribo86 you're welcome!
I'm glad it hasn't progressed, that's all good news. Apparently a little spotting can be normal, think it's due to a rise in progesterone. (Don't quote me on that but pretty sure I read that somewhere!)
Have you paid privately for an early scan? I've got to wait until 12 weeks unless I decide to do it private. We're off on holiday on Sunday and I'll be 8 weeks when we're home!
How do you feel about having a December baby? Xxx
