Welcome all expectant mothers of Oct 2024… This thread has been made as we are nearly getting to the end of the 2nd thread and that was made a little last time and people didn’t find it for a abit so making this one now so people can just add their names until the 2nd thread is full. Hope no one minds me doing this :)

These twin stories as lovely 😍 I think I’ve always secretly wanted twins
We struggled to conceive and now that I feel so rubbish we have said how great it would be to have both kids at once. Mostly jokingly haha! Twins are on his side of the family but not mine so I think it would be unlikely. I'm amazed how many here already know they have twins!

Just to add something about the screening as I know a couple people aren't sure what to do but when we declined it last time she did say ' we do have a duty of care to tell you if we see something of importance ' so if you don't opt for the screening and they don't say anything I guess you can be pretty confident all is ok

I just wanted to know I'm not the only one a little bit down about their changing body. This stage of being bloated, no visible bump just feeling bigger and boobs tripling in size (and aching!!). I went to get my bra fitted today and nearly fell over when she said my size!

I'm hoping it's just my hormones as I'm SO grateful to be pregnant after years of trying but also can't help but compare myself to others 😢 what a ride pregnancy is!

I was sure I was having twins for two reasons. My digital test saying 3+ when I was less than 4 weeks and a bump from 6 weeks.
Only one little baby in there on the early scan which was a relief for me as this is baby #4 which is prob why I’m showing so early!

@Jacky86 I'm having baby #3 and already showing at 10+3. I was bigger with #2 than #1 so thinking ill be the size of an elephant by 9 months 😆

Nausea still horrible but now more on and off than all day.

Thank you!! Ive contacted a cleaner to come in at least once a week for a fortnight, something has to give and its money well spent at the moment! I think I can get help with the nursery runs on tuesday so thats one less day already, phew.

Will be bulk buying cucumbers and ice pops tomorrow morning - seem to be my safe foods, as lacking in nutrients as they are they'll get me through to after DDs bedtime when I can sit and deal with the sickness...!

It’s crazy isn’t. I didn’t show until 16 weeks on my first, 14 on my second and about 10 on my third. Definitely shows earlier each time!

@ButterflySkies how funny that cucumber is a safe food. It’s one of the first to go for me. I honestly can’t imagine anything worse 😂

@02tryingfor02 it’s totally understandable that you’re upset about your changing body. I’ve done this before and I know I will loose it all and go back to something pretty similar to before but I’m still struggling with it this time around again. I’m absolutely not weighing myself this time because that was awful for my mental health last time. I do think it’s worse during the first trimester because you just feel so awful in general. I’ve had to eat constantly to try and keep the nausea at bay so I know for sure I’ve already put on some weight. My stomach is also the same size as now as I was at 20 weeks with my son. That part doesn’t bother me so much except I haven’t told anyone at work yet. No idea how I’m going to keep it quiet for another few weeks!

Does anyone remember Annieapple from the 1st thread? She seems to have disappeared, I hope that everything is ok

trying to go into this week positively! Spiralled myself over the weekend as my symptoms seem to be chilling out and then I start overthinking 😬but woke up this morning and my boobs are hurting again which seems to be my main symptom!
Could drive myself crazy worrying that symptoms are disappearing, is anyone else doing this too or am I losing the plot lol? Think as I’ve got to the 9 week mark it doesn’t feel real still!

I want to lose my symptoms so bad 😭

I have vommed every day since hitting 8 weeks last Fri. I just had nausea until that point, has this happened to anyone else?

@yellowrosee yes me with the banging headache since yesterday, but think that's dehydration because my sickness has been worse the last few days. Had trace ketones in my urine last night so DH is keeping a close eye on me (he's a HCP) and I'm just crossing my fingers I feel better today. Feel wobbly now but eaten and not been sick yet so here's hoping...

And yea my sickness is getting worse over time rather than better. I'm almost 10 weeks and the last few days have been the worst it's ever been. Im going to try my best to push through today as got some important meetings but if I don't feel any better by tomorrow I will take Tues and wed off sick I think, need to rest.

@Btowngirl Apparently, HCG peaks between weeks 8-11.

I threw up nearly every day from 6-9 weeks. I'm coming up to 10 weeks and it's getting better. Hopefully yours does soon.

@tryforbabynumber2 same. The exhaustion is real! I went back to bed at 10:30am for a nap. Woke up at 2pm! Whoops!

@LuxeBiscuit did not know that! Thank you, at least it makes a bit of sense, fingers crossed it doesn’t last long. Glad yours is improving

@Seashells4 we are very similar dates I think. I’m 10 weeks this Wednesday. I could have written your last post! I’m seriously worried about my total lack of symptoms. I get very slight waves of nausea but that could be due to my stress levels tbh!! My boobs were really sore week 6/7 but the last 2 weeks I’ve had very little symptoms. I’ve booked a private scan this weekend and am feeling stressed about it. Have you any scans planned?x

@Eiremogra it’s scary not having a lot of signs isn’t it! I had a scan at 7 weeks and saw our little one and their heartbeat which helped my anxiety a ton, I’m trying my best to wait for my 12 week scan now. Only 3 weeks to go! I’ll be 10 weeks this Friday. I know what you mean about the stress causing nausea haha, I think I keep having the same thing 😅hope everything is good this weekend, will this be your first scan? X

Morning ladies, another week is here! Sorry to hear that so many people are feeling rubbish right now - I've been feeling like a bit of a fraud throughout as haven't had really bad symptoms, just on and off nausea, sore boobs and feeling tired. Thought that might all have stopped by now but still having a bit of all of those symptoms. Now feeling like I just have to get through this week as I've got my dating scan on Saturday - it has felt like an absolute age since my last scan so it's hard to avoid my brain jumping to catastrophising about what might have gone wrong in the meantime.

@yellowrosee Good luck for your scan on Wednesday! Has anybody else got dating scans coming up this week?

@Seashells4 we have a scan at 6 weeks (had a big bleed/clot so was very stressful). Saw the little fluttering heartbeat then and it was just perfect :)) Lots of tears. I’m worried though not having symptoms so will have another scan next weekend to double check…xx

Morning all! I wish my symptoms would disappear for a bit - I can cope with the tiredness and sore boobs but this constant combination of hunger and queasiness is really getting me down! I have a scan a week tomorrow where hopefully I’ll be about 9.5 weeks so trying to use that as motivation.
