Welcome all expectant mothers of Oct 2024… This thread has been made as we are nearly getting to the end of the 2nd thread and that was made a little last time and people didn’t find it for a abit so making this one now so people can just add their names until the 2nd thread is full. Hope no one minds me doing this :)

@WickWood I’ll join the new WA group x

I will too! I joined this thread too late for the old whatsapp i guess but have also requested to join the fb group x

Joey2011 · 17/04/2024 11:46

I've been on the fb since it started but delayed the WhatsApp. So happy to join if another starts up.

CluelessInLondon · 17/04/2024 11:46

@Borontobewild Welcome and congratulations - sorry to hear about the HG, I hope it eases soon and you start to feel better.

@Missingpotatocroquettes I've also been trying to find pictures of pregnant bellies that look like mine - my Google search history is wild right now. 😂 I'm not looking forward to when I can't fit in my clothes anymore either - I like buying clothes, but I'm only planning on doing this once so maternity stuff feels like such a waste of money! My only concession so far has been to buy some bump bands, for when I can't do my trousers up anymore!

MF94 · 17/04/2024 11:58

I cant tell if this is a bump in anyway or not 😂 it doesnt help that after my wedding in July i gained back a ton of weight 🙄 i was already about a stone up and now im about another 3kg up but from about March onwards i had to stop wearing my jeans as they were all high waisted and were cutting me in half! But as i say.. i had already gained weight by the time i found out so i dont know whats baby and whats pre-baby weight gain! Im living in leggings when im not in the office 🥴

Think I have joined the WhatApp community.

Trifficult · 17/04/2024 12:23

I'll join new WA group too!

WickWood · 17/04/2024 12:32

I've put a message on under announcements, if anyone can see it? If not, now I have some phone numbers I should be able to make an actual group, not just a community, shall I try that?

SELE97 · 17/04/2024 12:36

@WickWood I can't see any announcements, sorry I'm rubbish with these things I have no idea how to even make a group

dancingqueen345 · 17/04/2024 12:38

@WickWood I've just created a chat thread but I think you need to add people to it!

Fullofconfusion · 17/04/2024 12:39

Thank you @WickWood @OneSunnyFox @CluelessInLondon @ButterflySkies I’ve had the NIPT this morning so just need to wait for results to come back next week

WickWood · 17/04/2024 12:44

@dancingqueen345 has thankfully made a chat thread in the community now! I've added some screenshots of how to find it.

So, follow the above link, that'll take you to the group, click on October babies and then click on 'chat thread.' Hope that helps, if anyone is struggling let me know!

Justkeepswimming91 · 17/04/2024 13:00

Is anyone elses sickness getting worse? 12+4 😭

LSW82 · 17/04/2024 14:27

@Justkeepswimming91 I had mainly nausea with the odd small bit of sickness until 13 weeks - then it hit! Wasn't expecting it at that stage & felt awful, I'm now just 16 wks & still being sick but not as frequent, hope yours gets better soon it really can be miserable at times! I got tablets from dr which maybe did help a bit but they made me mega tired so only taking if I really feel the need!

Sorry you're suffering too! I thought I might be turning a corner but over ten times today 😢

Joey2011 · 17/04/2024 16:12

I think I've joined 😊

SELE97 · 17/04/2024 16:57

Anyone know how to use the nub theory? Did sneak peak at 6 weeks so should be a girl according to that. Does the scan look like a girl?

OCTOBER 2024 BABIES :) THREAD 3
WickWood · 17/04/2024 17:07

@SELE97 I'd have guessed boy, but I have absolutely no clue really! I think the sneak peak is highly accurate, so the baby must be a girl?!

SELE97 · 17/04/2024 17:27

@WickWood we had it done at a clinic too so it should be accurate. However because I'm not as far along as I thought I was, I'm worried we did the sneak peak too early, and there wasn't enough fetal DNA in my blood yet. Doesn't matter either way, I'm just interested in the nub theory☺️

WickWood · 17/04/2024 17:40

@SELE97 Apparently there's a really active group on FB where people can guess quite accurately!

LuxeBiscuit · 17/04/2024 17:52

@Missingpotatocroquettes @CluelessInLondon my "bump" looks like @SELE97's at 14+3. It's my first so I wasn't expecting one so early. Im a size 10 so it's quite noticeable. Clothes are getting tricky.

I wouldn't compare. Everyone's shape / uterus / pelvis is different so I wouldn't worry. In fact, the start of a bump is a bit weird as you just look like you've put on a bit of weight and clothes stop fitting Confused I think a late 2nd trimester bump that's defined is much better lol

mrssunshinexxx · 17/04/2024 19:18

@SELE97 yes girl

RobynC28 · 17/04/2024 19:28

FTM. I don't have a bump at all yet. Almost 16 weeks. I lost weight in the first trimester due to nausea so that might be something to do with it.

On the subject of bumps is anyone using any oils /moisturiser to prevent stretchmarks? Not sure if i should be buying something now?
