Hope everyone is ok ❤️

My bleeding seems to have finally eased, had 4 heavy bleeds but each time baby has been fine and had nothing for a week now! 🤞🏻

@Fullofconfusionso sorry you have shingles, I've had it before and it isn't nice , can't imagine especially with pregnancy symptoms on top. Hope you're feeling better soon.

My nausea/sickness seems to have finally settled, I've had 2 days clear! I'm 13 + 5.. had my scan on Friday & due date 16/10.. starting to feel a little more real now.

Love reading everyone's updates and seeing scan pictures.

Is anyone having an early gender scan? I'm thinking of booking for 16 weeks!

cm3212 · 15/04/2024 11:22

@PineappleBella .. that's amazing! We're thinking of booking the gender one at 16 weeks which has a sneak peak, was it window to the womb? I recognise the ladies name at the top as the same on mine for my early one!

I'm a little on the high BMI side so I'm wondering if they'll be able to get a clear picture

RobynC28 · 15/04/2024 11:31

I'm 15+3. My nausea is much basically gone so hoping those a bit earlier on have the same experience. I'm very very tired but not sleeping well as waking up to pee and then struggling to get back to sleep but still a walk in the park compared to the nausea! I'm starting get nervous about the 20 week scan - feels like a big milestone as that's when ill tell work and my wider network!

2doggos · 15/04/2024 12:25

Hey all! I did post on the first oct thread and have just been reading everyone's messages since! I had my 12 week scan last week, baby was measuring ahead at 13+1. Definitely feels more real now!

What does everyone think? 💗💙

OCTOBER 2024 BABIES :) THREAD 3
MF94 · 15/04/2024 17:33

Well this baby did not want to play ball today 😂😭 they were curled round and facing away so the sonographer had a difficult time seeing them properly and the pictures dont look very clear! I had such a full bladder that at first she couldnt see anything at all and told me to go and do a half wee 😂 and even after that the pictures didnt improve that much so she said i should just go and empty my bladder and come back, but the baby just wouldnt really move! Im disappointed but to be honest im just really relieved there’s a heartbeat and from what they can see things look ok ❤️ measuring 2 days ahead so my official due date is now 22nd October! Eeek

CharlieBalf · 15/04/2024 17:44

@2doggos I'd put money on a boy!

We got our results back from the CVS today and glad to report everything was clear 😁

Haven't had too much discomfort or pelvic pain so hopefully back on track 🙏
Definitely been one of thr worst weeks of my life waiting for the results and feeling the dread of miscarriage.

Have a heart scan at 18 weeks but the consultant had a detailed looked last week and all structures were intact.

LuxeBiscuit · 15/04/2024 17:51

@CharlieBalf I'm glad you received a positive result.

@MF94 I know it must have been frustrating but these pics are great! The one with their back to you and then upside down are hilarious and so cute. It'll be a fun story to tell when they're older.

rachisamumtobe · 15/04/2024 18:17

@MF94 oh my! Same thing happened to me today, took 30 mins for them to get the right position they had to jiggle my stomach so much to get the baby to move lol stubborn already (like Dad!) they even had to tip me right back lol also my due date changed to the 21st October from the 18th so nearer to my husbands birthday!

mrssunshinexxx · 15/04/2024 19:06

I'm impressed you could do a half wee @MF94 😂

ButterflySkies · 15/04/2024 20:08

Im also impressed at the half wee @MF94

Lovely scan pics everyone!! 🩷

WeightoftheWorld · 15/04/2024 20:19

@rrachisamumtobe We are due date buddies! Mine is also 21st. I'm hoping they actually come a week or so later though to put more distance between their and DC2's birthday.

rachisamumtobe · 15/04/2024 20:27

@WeightoftheWorld yay! We are huge back to the future fans and that's back to the future day as well haha 😛

OneSunnyFox · 15/04/2024 20:57

@2doggos ahhh gorgeous baby! Look at its little ski jump nose😍I want to believe it’s a girl as that’s what my baby’s nub looks like and I legit can’t think of a boys name my partner and I both like.

@CharlieBalf GREAT NEWS!!!! Congratulations! Hopefully the heart check goes well! My trust haven’t offered me this, oddly! Fingers crossed it’s all smooth sailing from here for you!

@MF94 my baby also played these tricks! Good news though is it’s a great opportunity for them to get a good look at the spine which can be difficult for them! Hopefully it means if it’s comfortable you might have a good sleeper on your hands! That’s what I am praying for anyway!

WickWood · 15/04/2024 21:11

@OneSunnyFox Talking of baby names, has anyone decided on names?! We decided pretty early, Theadora/Thea and Sebastian/Seb. So, I'll be having little Seb 🩵

JLT24 · 15/04/2024 21:20

@WickWood we have one girls name and one boys name that we have decided on but we’ve agreed to not share the name until the baby arrives. It’s taken us 16 years to agree 😂 I don’t want anyone’s negative opinion on the name which would put me off it (I don’t mean on here!) Lots of people have asked us what we are thinking for names and when I’ve said we won’t be sharing until the baby is born they’ve proceeded to list the names they don’t like, ‘well as long as it’s not xxxxx’ exactly why I won’t be sharing it 😂

LiviaX · 15/04/2024 23:03

@OneSunnyFox we’re exactly the same. Agreed on a girl’s name almost immediately but having a nightmare trying to find a boy’s name we both like.

LutrisTerry · 16/04/2024 01:02

Hi, in need to some advice please! I am currently 7dpo and experiencing headaches, sore boobs, and started getting cramping at 6dpo front and back cramping it’s like a pinching sensation. Could this be a sign of early pregnancy??? Please help🙏🏽

mrssunshinexxx · 16/04/2024 01:03

@WickWood cute ! I love Sydney for both sexes and also Ida and Missy for girls boys I am struggling with!

LutrisTerry · 16/04/2024 01:10

@mrssunshinexxx hi love! Do you have any advice for me? I’ve just joined this because I am currently 7dpo and have been experiencing sore boobs, headaches and cramping front and lower back it’s like a pinching sensation. Could this be an early sign of pregnancy? The symptoms have progressed, 6dpo is when the crams started but before that was when I started having headaches and sore boobs

mrssunshinexxx · 16/04/2024 01:34

@LutrisTerry best thing to do is wait for hopefully a missed period , good luck :)

CharlieBalf · 16/04/2024 07:50

@LiviaX same! Really struggling with boys names but I have some saved on a list from a while ago sp we've just picked from there.

@WickWood we've also decided on names, it being #3 we had loads of ideas from the first two we.didnt use.

Juniper or Henrietta for a girl
Caspian or Ridley for a boy

Love your picks, especially Theodora 😍

WickWood · 16/04/2024 08:24

@CharlieBalf Lovely names! I've always wanted a baby boy, so I'm happy, but I am sad we won't get to use Theadora because I just adore it!

@mrssunshinexxx Love Ida ❤️

@JLT24 Aww that makes sense, sometimes people can't keep their comments to themselves!

CluelessInLondon · 16/04/2024 09:25

Hi everyone, hope you are all okay - lovely to see all of the scan pictures now!

@CharlieBalf That is wonderful news, that must be such a weight off.

@WickWood We've started making lists of names we like, but we aren't going to choose one until the baby is born - I don't really feel like I can name a person I've never met before! At the moment we think we are going to stick with a surprise and not find out the sex beforehand, so we'll have a shortlist for a boy and a girl and then choose after baby arrives.

Is anybody using a pregnancy pillow yet to help when they're sleeping? The last couple of days I've been finding that after I've been in bed for a few hours my hips and lower back start to feel really uncomfortable and I've been waking up and finding it really hard to get back to sleep. Kind of assumed I wouldn't need anything extra yet as I haven't got a big bump but might have to invest in something to try and get more comfortable.

mrssunshinexxx · 16/04/2024 09:31

@WickWood did you consider Theo for a boy? Although you may have a girl in the future and get to use Thea x

I’m ordering a pregnancy pillow today. I’m really struggling to sleep on my side, I keep waking up with hip and back pain like you. Also I’m usually a back sleeper and I keep waking up on my back which I’m worried about now I’m in 2nd trimester.

I spend about 18 hours a day lying down (including sleep) due to my health so hoping a pillow will help even though my bump is still tiny.
