I just hit 13weeks and the nausea has ramped up to the worse it has been! Wasn't expecting that. 😳

spudnik1 · 14/04/2024 10:46

@APSR I have been taking my asprin with my tea at 6pm not sure if it's the best time, but the midwife did say to take with a meal. I am usually in a rush in a morning so more likely to forget.

Trifficult · 14/04/2024 10:34

Sorry meant to say you're quite far ahead of us at 23 weeks!

I was supposed to put 12 weeks 😂 I don’t know where 23 came from x

Strawbs92 · 14/04/2024 10:54

Been a bit absent on here as had more bleeds etc!
Finally had my 12 week scan and I am measuring ahead!! Due date is now the 18th October.
So excited to start buying baby bits now.

OneSunnyFox · 14/04/2024 11:36

@Joey2011 I’m still being sick and almost 16 weeks. Thankfully it’s only in the morning or when I get up and start moving.

I don’t feel fabulous yet! I just feel fat, tired and ill! Fingers crossed it will be soon though.

PineappleBella · 14/04/2024 11:51

Happy Sunday!

We had an early gender scan today and we got a potty shot if anybody wants to have a guess what we’re having? I’m not convinced the gender is what they said it is 😂

@PineappleBella Congratulations! Welcome to the 🩵 club!

tryforbabynumber2 · 14/04/2024 12:20

Morning all! ❤️ 12 weeks today with the twinnies 👶🏻👶🏻 We've got our NHS 12 week scan on Thursday and then an early gender scan on 3rd May! Xxx

30somethingttc · 14/04/2024 12:29

Thank you @LuxeBiscuit @ButterflySkies reassuring to know other people have felt the same!

hi @tryforbabynumber2 I'm having two babies too 🥰

tryforbabynumber2 · 14/04/2024 12:32

@30somethingttc eeekk how are you feeling? ❤️ Has it sunk in for you yet that there's 2? I'm still in shock I think haha xxx

30somethingttc · 14/04/2024 12:51

@tryforbabynumber2
We are excited and very nervous!
We have known since 5 weeks as we were under EPU so had an early scan but we still burst out laughing every time we talk about it so not sure it’s sunk in yet. I think when we start to tell people we will feel the shock all over again from peoples reactions!
how are you? Guessing from your name you are going from 1 to 3? Xx

mrssunshinexxx · 14/04/2024 14:14

That's definitely a boy!! @PineappleBella

PineappleBella · 14/04/2024 14:24

Forgot to mention if anybody is around 15 weeks like me, we got a sneak peak of what our little one looks like in 4d! The lady who scanned us reccomended a 4d scan at 24 weeks to get the best pictures ❤️

tryforbabynumber2 · 14/04/2024 14:28

@30somethingttc we do the same haha burst out laughing! Out of nerves and disbelief more than anything I think 😂 Yes we've got a 6 year old daughter already and now expecting twins so going from 1 to 3! It'll be a shock to the system I imagine xxx

tryforbabynumber2 · 14/04/2024 14:29

@PineappleBella awww how cute!! ❤️ Congrats on your baby boy 💙 We've got an early sexing scan booked for when I'll be around 15 weeks and I think we get a sneak peak in 4d too! Xxx

WeightoftheWorld · 14/04/2024 14:45

@OneSunnyFox aw I hope you start feeling better soon. Is this your first pregnancy? (Sorry I'm sure you've said before but can't keep track on here at all!). I started to feel better around then with my previous pregnancies and was basically ok by week 20 both times so I really hope you improve soon. And I'm hoping I will be the same. I'm nearly 13 weeks and still have crippling nausea and throwing up every day too. Like you, it's moving around that starts the vomiting so I basically can't do anything at all. I'm signed off work with HG now until mid-May, although I will go back sooner if I improve quicker. DH is having a really tricky time of it now, after weeks of solo parenting and probably weeks to go. The house is a state, the laundry is behind...Im finding it stressful as I'm stuck at home with it all the time even though I knew it would be this way and I can't realistically do anything about it as my health needs are most important. Just can't wait to get this bit out of the way again.

rachisamumtobe · 14/04/2024 14:50

@WeightoftheWorld sending hugs.

OneSunnyFox · 14/04/2024 15:50

@WeightoftheWorld that all sounds awful! And I hope for your sake you start to feel better soon! Sounds terrible and I can’t imagine how you feel!

This is number one for me, and thankfully I have not been that bad! In general I’m sick a couple of times when I get up, and then I am ok unless I pass something that smells or makes me feel sick. I still have nausea in waves but managing. Puddles of sick on the street have become a real trigger for me!

Im loving all these scan pics too! I find them all really fascinating! I’m starting to regret not finding out the sex of our baby though nub theory would suggest it’s a girl!

ButterflySkies · 14/04/2024 18:43

@WeightoftheWorld im so sorry youre having such a tough time. Rest up and dont worry about work - im sure they'll be thrilled to have you back when it's right for you, dont feel pressure. It's just a season, the laundry and the house can wait lovely - you're more important xx

I spoke to soon myself - hit post and had to crawl into bed and have been puking today 😂 the joy!

Also loving the scan pics - i think we're going to take DD for a scan with us privately about 17 weeks and see if they can tell us with her. X

WickWood · 14/04/2024 19:30

Ugh, feeling sorry for myself, the chest infection has returned/didn't fully go away, so more antibiotics for me.

Ugh, feeling sorry for myself, the chest infection has returned/didn't fully go away, so more antibiotics for me.

I'm so sorry, I hope you get better soon!

I had a really emotional time this afternoon because I had some brown discharge. Luckily it was only brief and I was able to speak to a midwife on the phone who reassured me that it is normal for this stage and not a worry if there's no blood or cramping. It was good to be reassured but I felt so anxious over it 😭 I had to have a 3+ hour nap afterwards because I had such a crazy energy crash.

aussiegirl89 · 14/04/2024 23:05

@WeightoftheWorld @OneSunnyFox solidarity xx I am also still so sick and vomiting every day and 15 weeks 4 days. It got better for 4 days and I thought this is all over, now it's back with a vengeance.

I definitely feel better than the first trimester but I was really hoping for the N&V to be over by now.

Hope we all feel better soon!

💙💙💙

mrssunshinexxx · 15/04/2024 07:00

Such a cute idea @ButterflySkies I've considered this but decided to go just us to nhs one and get a big balloon reveal on the way back for them to pop think they would find that more fun as only 2 and 3 x

Decaffe · 15/04/2024 07:43

@TubbyCustard11 @WickWood The lowest risk the NHS gives now is 1:5,000. They stopped stating risks lower than this (e.g. 1:10,000) a while back. So don’t worry! 😊

Fullofconfusion · 15/04/2024 10:51

Sorry for those still experiencing sickness. Mine seems to have disappeared for now thank goodness.

I still have shingles though which I honestly think is one of the most painful things I’ve ever experienced. Probably not helped with the pregnancy tiredness, hormones and limited drugs that I’m able to take. I spent most of the weekend breaking down in tears just feeling hopeless. I hate not being able to do things too!
